"I became old and lost all my abilities from my heyday. But half a year ago, Global Freeze happened and I learned of the Roidmudes and the Kamen Rider. I was entraced by the Kamen Rider's power, so I investigated his origins which led me to this castle. While this little belt failed, I was able to activate ZZZ."

Lupin's consciousness transferred into the Cyberoid ZZZ body

Zoruku Tojo was a legendary phantom thief who operated during the mid-20th century. However as time passed, he grew older and he was forced to retire from his famed career. Six months after the Global Freeze, he learnt of the Roidmudes and the Kamen Riders. The elder Tojo was led to Krim Steinbelt's castle and uncovered Cyberoid ZZZ, a Roidmude body originally went to be used by Krim intended to for him to combat the Roidmudes. Wanting to return to his glorious early days, Tojo transferred his consciousness into Cyberoid ZZZ.

The Challenge from Lupin[]

Zoruko Tojo began a new criminal career as Ultimate Lupin and took advantage of his ability to generate Heavy Acceleration. His actions had caught the attention of Kamen Rider Drive, Shinnosuke Tomari, and would often challenge the detective and the Special Investigation Unit with messages declaring the targets of his thefts. After creating the Lupin Gunner copied from the Roidmudes' data, he transforms into Kamen Rider Lupin and could summon replicant Roidmudes to his disposal.

Although he accomplished his objective to humiliate Drive, Shinnosuke manages to expose him for disguising himself as Kiriko Shijima. Despite Lupin trying to escape by threatening Kiriko's life, Shinnosuke pursues him and is able to reactivate the Drive Driver to become Kamen Rider Drive once more. Kamen Rider Lupin fought Drive undergoing several Type Changes, before defeated by Drive Type Speed Flare's Speedrop. Before his defeat, Lupin returned the Kamen Rider title to Drive. After Tojo's consciousness left Cyberoid ZZZ's burned out body, the Roidmude husk was absorbed by Megahex to become ZZZ Megahex.

"Consider it payback, I've stolen what you cherished the most, her smile. Until we meet again, my distinguished foe, Kamen Rider Drive, Shinnosuke Tomari"
―Zoruku's promising words to Shinnosuke.[src]

After Drive defeated Megahex with Kamen Rider Gaim, Shinnosuke returned to the Drive Pit. Tojo's consciousness, resembling a Roidmude's Core, fused with a Bat Type Viral Core, allowing him to appear as a hologram. He tells Shinnosuke that he will be back in the future as he technically stole Kiriko's "smile".

Following their last encounter, Lupin was revealed to had frequent run-ins with Shinnosuke Tomari to the point of being considered a nuisance. He issued one last challenge, where Drive fought Lupin in battle until it was revealed Roidmude 100 had impersonated him. After reclaiming his Lupin Gunner, Kamen Rider Lupin fought together with Drive, Mach, and Chaser against Roidmude 100 and his Reaper Legion. After their victory, Lupin leaves his arsenal and a farewell letter behind to Shinnosuke. It was revealed that the night before, Roidmude 100 damaged his core to the point of slowly disintegrating and wanted to spend his final moments as a hero. The heroes decide to pay their final respects to Lupin.

Post-mortem[]

Since the destruction of Tenjuro Banno and the Sigma Circular, the Lupin Gunner and Blade Viral Core are among the Kamen Riders' arsenal locked beneath the Drive Pit alongside Krim Steinbelt himself.

Personality[]

In his younger years, Zoruku was an active thief with a strong moral code, stealing solely from malicious individuals, with no acts of murder committed during said thefts. Wishing to be recognized as a "hero" by the public, he made every heist known beforehand by the police, overcoming each challenge with precision and skill. In his elder years, Zoruku is shown to have retained his passion for thievery, leading to his "return" as Kamen Rider Lupin. From the effects of the Cyberoid ZZZ's body though, Zoruku began to lose his state of mind, becoming more ruthless with the passage of time.

Initially looking up to Kamen Rider Drive, Zoruku became disappointed upon learning his secret identity, thus deciding steal the title of "Kamen Rider" from Shinnosuke. Upon his defeat and revival though, Zoruku regained his former persona, acting in a gentlemanly manner once more. Recognizing Shinnosuke as a worthy adversary, Zoruku returned the title of "Kamen Rider" to him, with a promise to return someday.

Having gained a liking towards Shinnosuke, Zoruku would later reappear to him on several occasions, mildly inconveniencing Shinnosuke with acts of harmless theft. From Roidmude 100's ambush though, Zoruku became mortally injured, having his identity stolen in the process. Teaming up with the Special Investigation Unit, Zoruku had a rematch against his doppelganger, not wishing for his reputation to be tarnished. After successfully defeating Roidmude 100, Zoruku thanked Shinnosuke and the others through one final letter, appreciating everything they did for him.

Kamen Rider Lupin (仮面ライダールパン, Kamen Raidā Rupan) is Zoruku Tojo/Cyberoid ZZZ's Rider Form accessed through the Lupin Gunner via stolen data from Mashin Chaser. This form debuts in Movie War Full Throttle.

Lupin's power greatly exceeds both Mashin Chaser and Drive, so much that he is able to damage the Drive Driver and utterly demolish Chaser in battle. He can also easily destroy Plain Roidmudes and their cores. Another demonstrated ability is that, he can generate energy film layers.

Once his Lupin Gunner is in Blade Mode, he can use the Ultimate Lupin Stlash (アルティメットルパンストラッシュ, Arutimetto Rupan Sutorasshu) attack, a jewel-shaped energy slash.

Kamen Rider Lupin consists of the following parts:

  • Gentrick Hat (ジェントリックハット, Jentorikku Hatto): The top hat-shaped helmet that protects the head.
    • Middle Ornament (ミドルオーナメント, Midoru Ōnamento): The device for monitoring conditions. The damage status and operating rate of the drive engine are checked, and energy distribution and other factors are automatically adjusted to optimize the Lupin's condition.
    • X Eraser (エクスイレイサー, Ekusu Ireisā): The armor that covers the entire head. The high-strength metal armor on the surface and shock-absorbent material on the interior completely prevent damage to internal functions caused by physical attacks. It also has multiple sensors built in that can detect sound and heat sources, and works in conjunction with various sensors to support Lupin's search for enemies.
    • Goldic Horn (ゴルディックホーン, Gorudikku Hōn): The energy converter equipped on the head. It responds to the mental power, of the person transformed, converts and amplifies it into energy, and generates a power aura that strengthens each of Lupin's functions. It is also equipped with a powerful jamming device that can disrupt enemy search sensors and radio communications.
    • Arsene Sapphire (アルセーヌサファイア, Arusēnu Safaia): The information aggregator mounted on the head. It supports Lupin in combat by integrating data read by various sensors and predicting enemy attack patterns.
    • Garnet Multi Eye (ガーネットマルチアイ, Gānetto Maruchi Ai): The visual sensors have excellent motion detection and enemy detection capabilities. The sensors cover a wide area in front, allowing Lupin to instantly grasp the surrounding situation and even fight against multiple enemies. It does not miss even the slightest enemy movement, allowing it to immediately intercept an enemy who has shifted to an attack posture.
    • Mustache Mold (マスタッシュモールド, Masutasshu Mōrudo): The face-mounted exhaust system. It removes impurities from the water and air taken in for cooling, and then vaporize and discharge them after cooling is complete. Steam can also be used to dazzle the surrounding area.
    • Gentle Defender (ジェントルディフェンダー, Jentoru Difendā): The protective armor to protect the face. High-performance compression alloys that can withstand even objective rifles are overlaid to prevent damage to the wearer.
  • Premiere Mail Chest (プレミアメイルチェスト, Puremia Meiru Chesuto): The external armor made of a special alloy covering the chest. Its built-in special vibration device disperses the shock of an attack and reduces damage to its internal functions. It can form an energy shield around its torso, increasing the defensive power of areas not covered by armor.
    • Crossing Scissors (クロッシングシザー, Kurosshingu Shizā): The energy compressor worn on the chest. The energy stored in the Filmetal Lines on both shoulders is channeled into the center of the Crossing Scissors and converted into compressed energy that strengthens each part of the body.
    • Core Driviar-Z (ジェントルディフェンダー, Jentoru Difendā): The gravity drive engine built into the chest is responsible for generating operating energy. The engine can be operated at high speed to release waves that cause heavy acceleration.
  • Silver Guard (シルバガード, Shiruba Gādo): The armor mounted on the shoulders. Its shape allows it to deflect attacks from swords and bullets, and it also has the ability to absorb energy attacks.
    • Filmetal Line (フィルメタルライン, Firumetaru Rain): The special metal frame equipped on the shoulders. It stores the energy absorbed from devices in various parts of the body and the surplus energy generated by the Core Driviar. It can also activate the Shuttered Edition, a technique that releases capture energy through the Lupin Gunner to trap the target within the frame.
  • Gatorskin Suit (ゲータースキンスーツ, Gētāsukin Sūtsu): The enhanced armor suit that enhances physical abilities. It responds to the mental power, of the person transformed, converts and amplifies it into energy, and generates a power aura that strengthens each of Lupin's functions. The deployed power aura can also be focused on the weapon to deliver a powerful attack.
  • Treasure Gauntlet (トレジャーガントレット, Torejā Gantoretto): The enhanced gauntlet that covers the fist. It is made from a high-strength rare metal and has enough offensive power to destroy a Roidmude's armor in one hit. It can also deploy compressed energy on its surface to deliver an enhanced punch. The palm is equipped with a vision projector that can also display video data in the air.
  • E-Gold Buckle (E-ゴールドバックル, E-Gōrudo Bakkuru): The energy amplifier equipped on the waist. It amplifies the power aura produced by the Gatorskin Suit by utilizing the vibrations of a special crystal attached to the center of the buckle. In addition, the amplified power aura is sent to each part of the body to strengthen each function to the limit.
  • Secret Luke (シークレットルーク, Shīkuretto Rūku): The storage device worn on the left thigh. It houses a variety of gadgets, but the details of these gadgets have not been disclosed.
  • Precious Tector (プレシャステクター, Pureshasu Tekutā): The enhanced armor covering the knees. The internal device that utilizes electromagnetic force and the crystal that amplifies power have the ability to enhance the movement of the knee joints.
  • Glorious Leg (グロリアスレッグ, Guroriasu Reggu): The defensive devices mounted on the legs. It forms an electromagnetic shield around the legs, halving damage from physical and energy attacks. The built-in actuator instantly increases Lupin's leg strength, enabling him to fight at high speed.
  • Intruder Boots (イントルーダーブーツ, Intorūdā Būtsu): The enhanced boots. It can deploy compressed energy throughout the boots and deliver an enhanced kick. They have stealth capabilities, allowing them to move without leaving traces by masking the footsteps.

Cyberoid ZZZ

Cyberoid ZZZ (サイバロイド ZZZ, Saiba Roido Surī Zetto) is Zoruku Tojo's Plain Roidmude form. Originally intended as the vessel for Krim Steinbelt's consciousness, ZZZ was placed in stasis when attempts to upload failed. The Roidmude gained life when the aged Zoruku Tojo uploaded his own consciousness into it, which soon formed into something resembling a Roidmude's Core after Lupin's defeat.

Prior to the birth of Kamen Rider Lupin, Zoruku took the Roidmude's homunculus as his first battle form while wearing a black cloak as additional clothing. However, as Mr. Belt stated, while he also lacks the strong mentality to use it, his reason is also because the usage of Cyberoid also increases the wearer's aggression.

Powers and Abilities
Heavy Acceleration
The signature ability of the Roidmude is to somehow slow down the movement of surrounding objects', including that of humans, with their unaffected consciousness aware of their impass during this time. One can be protected by the Heavy Acceleration effect by carrying Shift Cars or Signal Bikes on their person.
Advanced Camouflage
Roidmudes can generate disguises through film-layers around their body that function similar to the cerebral cortexIcon-wikipedia.
Steam Generation
Cyberoid can unleash a high pressure steam as an attack.
Superhuman Agility
Cyberoid can perform numerous inhumane tricks, all because of his mind, Zoruku is a phantom thief.
Superhuman Strength
While this Roidmude seemed to be a half of Kamen Rider Lupin, but its strength is formidable to counter that of Drive.
Claws
Cyberoid can us his claws to generate energy slashes.
Energy Ball Projection
Cyberoid can emit yellowish energy ball as offensive means.
Electricity Manipulation
Cyberoid can manipulate electricity to his liking, used to shorten out Genpachiro Otta's Pikopiko 2.
Levitation
Lupin can levitate himself easily in mid air, as well as lifting heavier objects like cars.
Data Replication
Cyberoid ZZZ can replicate data of his opponent and materialize a copy.
Adaptive Core
Though not exactly ZZZ's own core, Zoruku's consciousness, which resembles a Roidmude's Core, seemed to be able to adapt and fuse with any type of Viral Cores, allowing him to become any classes of Roidmudes. However, this is only seen during the last scene of the movie, where he becomes a Bat Type Roidmude, though the body produced is only holographic than a solid object.

  • Weight: 0 kg (presumably due to being a ghost)

After Megahex ZZZ was destroyed by Drive and Gaim, Zoruku's consciousness, resembling a Roidmude's Core, would fuse with a Bat Viral Core to allow him to exist as a holographic Bat Type Roidmude. His Roidmude form was briefly seen during the fusion of his core. Also if looked closely, his letter code on the number plate was shown blank instead of visible, like that of one of Megahex's Plain Roidmudes (Lost Number).

He is also able to revert to his Viral Core form at will, without his core being separated from it.

He would, via unknown means, regain a physical form sometime later.

Powers and Abilities
Advanced Camouflage

Holographic Projection
Zoruku retains his ability to create film reel stripe projections, which he does to project anything from his mind.

Etymology[]

Zoruku's name and appearance are themed after the famous fictional French thief Arsène LupinIcon-wikipedia. Like Lupin, Zoruku was a master of disguise.

Concept Art[]

Cyberoid ZZZ was designed by Takayuki Takeya (竹谷 隆之, Takeya Takayuki).

Notes[]

Zoruku's consciousness being spelled "0L0".

Zoruku's consciousness being spelled "0L0".

  • Zoruku's Roidmude's Core was actually spells out the word "0L0" instead of "ZZZ", due to his Roidmude body being similar to 000's body.[2]
    • It is also possible that his existence only as a holographic Roidmude instead of a solid body was because of him only existing as a consciousness, but not only an actual Roidmude Core, due to its unintentional personality.
    • His core also resembles the word "OLD", as a reference to his old age before taking over the body of ZZZ.
  • Cyberoid ZZZ was repainted for Chase's Protozero Roidmude form, ironically mirroring his Lupin powers being copied from Mashin Chaser.
