Yu Takahashi (高橋 ユウ, Takahashi Yū) is a Japanese-Filipino actress and fashion model who played Yuri Aso/Kamen Rider Ixa in Kamen Rider Kiva. Takahashi returned to Kamen Rider Zi-O during the Kiva tribute arc and played an entirely different character.
Biography
In 2002, she was a finalist in the avex dream 2000 auditions out of 15 others.
She won the Grand Prix in a female vocal audition in 2006 held by the TV Tokyo show Output.
She began her modeling career in the Cawaii! magazine, and later Pinky.
Personal Life
- Takahashi and her siblings are half Filipino, on her mother's side.
- Takahashi has a family who is also in the entertainment industry.
- Her brother is professional soccer player Yuji Takahashi, who is married to idol Aki Takajo
- Her sister is actress/model Maryjun Takahashi, who starred alongside Jingi Irie in the Kikaider REBOOT film.
- Takahashi herself is married to professional boxer Hirotaka Urabe. They met at a dinner party following one of Hirotaka's matches that Maryjun brought Yu to. They were engaged in July of 2018 and legally married that following September. They held their formal wedding ceremony in May of 2019 in Hawaii.
- Her brother-in-law, who is the younger brother of her husband, is Koya Urabe.
- Takahashi has been known to be very mature for her age, which is one of the reasons why her role as Yuri Aso was older than she was at the time.
