Template:Characterinfo Yaminin (闇忍, Yaminin, lit. "Darkness Ninja") is a mysterious villain from Rider Time: Kamen Rider Shinobi. He is the leader of ninja clan Niji no Hebi.

Character History

Rider Time: Shinobi

In an attempt to draw out Kamen Rider Shinobi, the Dark Ninja and the Rainbow Serpent clan work to sabotage the Ninjutsu Tournament, knowing that putting Iroha in danger would draw Rentarou out.

The Dark Ninja ambushes Kamen Rider Shinobi during his battle with Kamen Rider Hattari, curious as to why Shinobi always appears whenever Iroha's in peril. Receiving an evasive answer, he spurs Hattari into helping him defeat the hero in combat so that they may learn Kamen Rider Shinobi's true identity. Confident in his victory, he uses a magical serpent construct to trap Shinobi, taking away the gourd he uses to transform in the process. ^{[Next NinPow!! Volume: Yaminin's Assassin Plan]}

Iroha saves Rentarou, shifting the Dark Ninja's focus from defeating Shinobi to securing her. This ends his alliance with Kamen Rider Hattari, whom he effortlessly defeats. He attempts to secure Iroha and the gourds by trapping the Riders in a dark barrier, only to be foiled by Kamen Rider Shinobi's abrupt mastery of Light Ninpou, of which the Dark Ninja is fittingly weak against.

Unable to stand up to Shinobi's Seibai Ninpou, the Dark Ninja is defeated and forced to retreat, though not before outing himself as another rival after Iroha's love. ^{[Last NinPow!!! Volume: Dead-end and Close Call]}

Personality

He is shown to have a grudge against Shinobi and Hattari. Behind his villainy and upon his defeat, he is actually showing his comical side when he admits himself to be after Iroha's love.

Yaminin is voiced by Masashi Ebara (江原 正士, Ebara Masashi), his suit actor is Yasuhiko Imai (今井 靖彦, Imai Yasuhiko).

Notes

• In Kamen Rider Zi-O, past Another Riders are known for their resemblance (physical or quirks alike) to their respective villain contemporaries, making Yaminin's status as a recycled suit of Another Shinobi an enforced version of this trope.
• Although Yaminin is not a Kamen Rider, he still have his own Kamen Rider Statistics in Chozenshu of Kamen Rider Zi-O.
