Kamen Rider Woz

Woz (ウォズ, Wozu) is the "zealous supporter" of Sougo Tokiwa who travels from the future to help him achieve his destiny as the demon king as Kamen Rider Woz (仮面ライダーウォズ, Kamen Raidā Wozu). It is later revealed that he is an undercover member of Quartzer serving the original counterpart of Sougo.

History

Background

Main article: Woz

Woz is a member of Quartzer, as evident of his membership robes. He received the Ohma Advent Calendar from his leader SOUGO Tokiwa, a book detailing how his substitute will become Ohma Zi-O in another timeline, and tasked to ensure this existance. To do so, Woz infiltrated the Resistance as a captain, with Geiz Myokoin and Tsukuyomi as his underlings. He gained the authority to act as their "spy" in order to get close to Ohma Zi-O and pledge his loyalty towards him.

This version of Woz followed the events of his TV counterpart, up until after the Another Zi-O II crisis and the interference of Quartzer.

Woz was seen in one of Sougo Tokiwa's dreams where he introduces Kamen Rider Zero-One as the first Kamen Rider of the Reiwa Era. In reality, Woz joins Sougo along with Geiz Myokoin and Tsukuyomi to travel back to the Sengoku period under Go Shijima and Krim Steinbelt's request. With his king by his side, Kamen Rider Woz fought to protect the timeline from Kagen (Kamen Rider Zonjis) and Jogen (Kamen Rider Zamonas).

Woz's true nature revealed as a member of Quartzer.

With their mission completed, the crew returned to the present where Krim Steinbelt and Go Shijima granted Sougo the Drive Ridewatch, completing the collection of twenty Ridewatches. However, Woz suddenly stole all the Ridewatches and reveal to his allies that he's a true loyal supporter of SOUGO Tokiwa, the original Sougo Tokiwa and a member of Quartzer. After Sougo was imprisoned by Quartzer, Woz visits his cell and states his loyalty is always to SOUGO. He revealed that the Heisei Rider timeline has been contradictary and must be erased. Geiz later disguises himself as a Quartzer member to reclaim the twenty Ridewatches. While Woz fights him, he was overpowered with Geiz in battle.

After Sougo unlocked the power of Kamen Rider Zi-O OhmaForm, Woz then turns on SOUGO Tokiwa before ripping the Ohma Advent Calendar in half, reassured that Sougo will create his own future. As Woz reintroduces Sougo to proclaim Heisei Riders are still exist, but later was stabbed by SOUGO with his sword as his punishment for his betrayal and later passed away due to his injuries while being helped up by Geiz.

Although Woz passed away after redeeming himself, he were restored to life along with Geiz and Tsukuyomi as they awaited for Sougo's return.

Kamen Rider Zi-O: Final Stage

Sometime after the confronation with Quartzer, Woz is affected by the changes of the timeline and is turned into Red Woz. He serves Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi as they battle Zi-O and Geiz over the Showa Era Ridewatches. Kamen Rider Woz continues to fight with Tsukuyomi to battle the heroes and gather the Ridewatches based on the Seven Legendary Riders, only revealed to be all according to Hiryu Kakogawa's plan. He revealed he brainwashed Tsukuyomi and Woz to gather the Showa Ridewatches and remodeling history to erase Ohma Zi-O from existance to create an eternal Showa Era.

Woz lends his Ridewatch to Sougo

It was revealed that despite the brainwashing, Woz was able to retain his consiousness while under the influence of Red Woz. This granted him the ability to manifest the Woz Ridewatch. Woz later granted Sougo his Ridewatch to assume Kamen Rider Zi-O WozArmor, with Woz himself rejoicing how his king is recieving his power, and would defeat the Quartzer Riders with the new form. However, Hiryu evolves into Another Ohma Zi-O upon absorbing the seven Showa Ridewatches.

Kamen Rider WozGingaFinaly with Zi-O, Geiz, and Tsukuyomi

While Another Ohma Zi-O easily dominates the Kamen Riders, the heroes are aided by Heisei Era's Showa Riders who encourages them to fight vigorously as Reiwa Era's Heisei Riders. Ohma Zi-O thus arrives and tells that Heisei cannot be erased and stays in the memories. Woz transforms into Kamen Rider WozGingaFinaly to join his crew to battle the Another Riders until the heroes manages to prevail against Hiryu Kakogawa for good.

Personality

Woz' cunning tactic is deemed great by his former Quartzer comrade and the original Sougo Tokiwa. As the series progress, Woz somehow prefer to be with the current Sougo Tokiwa instead of the original one despite his original mission to have Sougo become an Ohma Zi-O as a facade of the original Sougo's plan to change the new era. Woz' loyalty to the new Sougo is shown to the limit of breaking the set Ohma Advent from the original Sougo and somehow obtained the new one to lead the current Sougo's life.

Powers and Abilities

• Time Travel: Woz possesses the ability to travel back and forth across the timeline. This often comes to the confusion of Sougo Tokiwa, as Woz tends to appear suddenly and without the apparent use of a Time Mazine. ^{[Best Match 2017]}
• Superhuman Strength: Woz effortlessly blocked a punch from Another Fourze with his bare hand, whilst still being able to talk. ^{[Switch On! 2011]}
• Energy Attack: Woz has been shown to be able release an energy attack from his hand, which he uses to knock Another Fourze away from Sougo. ^{[Switch On! 2011]}

• Keen Manipulator: Woz is able to outsmart White Woz and take advantage of his Future Note by having him "give" Black Woz the Kamen Rider Woz powers. • Knowledge of past Kamen Riders: Woz is one of the few people in his timeline to have knowledge of all the past Kamen Riders that come before Sougo.
• Time Alteration Immunity: Woz can exist independently of time itself, which made him immune to the time alterations caused by Hiryu Kakogawa, as well as having retained the memories of his whole ordeal alongside Sougo before the latter rewrote the timeline in the final episode.

Forms

Black Woz uses a variant of the Ridewatches called Miridewatches in the Beyondriver to transform into Kamen Rider Woz and access forms based on future Kamen Riders.

Unlike White Woz, the screen on Black Woz's transformation circle is analog as opposed to White Woz's smartwatch HUD.

Black Woz transforms into Kamen Rider Woz (仮面ライダーウォズ, Kamen Raidā Wozu) using the Woz Miridewatch. His visor reads "Rider" (ライダー, Raidā) in katakana, while the logo on his forehead and shoulders reads "Kamen" (カメン, "Kamen") in katakana.

Kamen Rider Woz consists of the following parts:

• Caliber S (キャリバーS, Kyaribā S) - Woz's helmet. 'S' stands for 'Smart'.
  • Clock Blade S (クロックブレードS, Kurokku Burēdo S) - The clock-hand-like antenna. It is a data collection device. The long hand, Baryon Hand M (バリオンハンドM, Barion Hando M) predicts temporal information, such as enemy timing, while the shorthand, Meson Hand H (メソンハンドH, Meson Hando H) measures spatial information, such as the distance between Woz and the enemy as well as landing points of finishers.
  • War Signal (ウォーシグナル, Uō Shigunaru) - The merging point of the two Clack Blade S with the 'Kamen' logo on it. It feeds gathered information to Woz, derives the optimum solution and adjusts Woz's internal systems accordingly.
  • Indication Track Eye (インジケーショントラックアイ, Injikēshon Torakku Ai) - The visor which spells out 'Rider'. Sensors with a 270° viewing angle are built into it in a concentric manner.
  • Smart Bezel (スマートベゼル, Sumāto Bezeru) - The metal frame surrounding the face. It changes color depending on what Futurering is used (green for Woz, purple for Shinobi, blue and red for Quiz and golden for Kikai). A metal Graphenium Coat (グラフェニウムコート, Gurafeniumu Kōto) finish has been applied, increasing durability so much that it is 200 times stronger than steel. It is super lightweight.
  • Smart Core (スマートコア, Sumāto Koa) - The 'button' on Woz's left cheek. It is an information management unit that stores combat data.
  • Crusher Band (クラッシャーバンド, Kurasshā Bando) - The jaw armor. It is formed from PMsein (ピムセイン, Pimusein), an extendable flexible material, and is wrapped around the jaw section. It contains tremendous shock-absorbing capability and pressure-dispersing performance.
• Tonneau Light Tecter (トノーライトテクター, Tonō Raito Tekutā) - Woz's chest armor. Graphenium Coat finish has been applied, making it 200 times stronger than steel while still being lightweight.
• Expansion Band Liner (エクスパンションバンドライナー, Ekusupanshon Bando Rainā) - The black and green 'strap' that runs down Woz's torso. In addition to its role as a bioenergy enhancing device, it also improves the performance of other system functions by reading Miridewatch data.
• Install Shoulders (インストールショルダー, Insutōru Shorudā) - The square shoulder armor. By changing Miridewatches, the Install Shoulders allow Kamen Rider Woz to realize different abilities based on different Kamen Riders.
• Time Attack Arm (タイムアタックアーム, Taimu Atakku Āmu) - The arms. The Nanotube Muscle (ナノチューブ筋, Nanochūbu-kin) covering it has a motion navigation function to make attacks more efficient.
• Extend Arm Girder (エクステンドアームガーダー, Ekusutendo Āmu Gādā) - The forearm sections. It is made of PMsein, and reinforces the connection between the side of the arm and the back of the hands. It is highly shock absorbent and has pinpoint dispersion properties to shield the arms from damage.
• Smooth Hands (スムースハンド, Sumūsu Hando) - The hands. It is made from Smooth Graphenium (スムースグラフェニウム, Sumūsu Gurafeniumu), a highly flexible metal alloy. It covers the back of the hands and surrounds the fingertips, endowing high impact and defense power while retaining dexterity.
• Smooth Strike Suit (スムーストライクスーツ, Sumūsutoraiku Sūtsu) - Woz's bodysuit. It automatically hardens itself at areas that are just about to get hit, reducing overall impact damage. Otherwise, it is extremely flexible, and the hardening and unhardening operations allow for combat behavior that far exceeds the capabilities of the user when untransformed. It covers the torso from the shoulders to the thighs, and due to being made from Soft Graphenium does not hinder movement. Additionally, it repairs any minor damage sustained in battle.
• Time Attack Leg (タイムアタックレッグ, Taimu Atakku Reggu) - The legs. The 'Nanotube Muscle' covering it has a motion navigation function to make attacks more efficient.
• Touch Count Pads (タッチカウントパッド, Tatchi Kaunto Paddo) - The kneepads. They are measurement devices that read combat data on the field and sends it to the helmet.
• Extend leg Girder (エクステンドレッグガーダー, Ekusutendo Reggu Gādā) - The shin armor. Due to being made of PMsein, it exhibits high shock absorbing ability and is able to disperse pressure at any point.
• Smooth Shoes (スムースシューズ, Sumūsu Shūzu) - The shoes. It is covered with Smooth Graphenium, making it extremely durable and damaging while exhibiting lightweight properties. Additionally, The katakana for the word "Kick" (キック, "Kick") is in engraved on the soles. Moreover, Woz's jump height is drastically improved thanks to anti-gravity technology being incorporated into the sole.

Futurering Shinobi (フューチャーリングシノビ, Fyūchāringu Shinobi) is Woz's Kamen Rider Shinobi-based form accessed using the Shinobi Miridewatch in the Beyondriver. Its visor spells out "Shinobi" (シノビ, "Shinobi") in katakana.

Using a Futurering ability, Kamen Rider Woz can harness the powers and abilities of Kamen Rider Shinobi via the Shinobi Miridewatch. In this form, he uses ninja techniques and skills to fight against his enemies. It also allows Woz to turn himself into a shadowy mist that can move through surfaces.

Black Woz mainly uses this Futurering when dealing with enemies that possess high speed abilities or in a battle that needs said abilities. Even though it can't be seen when he first used this form, it's speed is later shown to be able to keep up with GeizRevive Shippu and even an adult state Worm that utilizes Clock Up for unknown reasons, as shown during the Kabuto Arc.

Futurering Shinobi adds the following parts:

• Caliber S/FS (キャリバーS/FS, Kyaribā S/FS) - The head. 'FS' stands for 'Futurering Shinobi'.
  • Clock Blade S Shinobi (クロックブレードSシノビ, Kurokku Burēdo S Shinobi) - The antenna. It is a data collection device. The long hand, Baryon Hand M, predicts temporal information while the shorthand, Meson Hand H, measures spatial information. In addition, Kamen Rider Shinobi's ability to detect and intercept signals in an encrypted or digitized state across multiple frequency channels.
  • War Signal Shinobi (ウォーシグナル・シノビ, Uō Shigunaru Shinobi) - An information gathering unit located on the forehead behind the Clock Blade S Shinobi. It analyses information, derives the optimum solution to a problem and feeds it to Woz. Additionally, the abilities of Kamen Rider Shinobi is taken into consideration and automatically adjusts Ninjutsu maneuvers.
  • Indication Track Eye Shinobi (インジケーショントラックアイ・シノビ, Injikēshon Torakku Ai Shinobi) - The visor which spells out 'Shinobi'. In addition to granting Woz a 270° viewing angle, it also allows him to view up to 10km away. It is also capable of night vision and can change its perspective mode according to the situation.
• Shinobi Shuriken (シノビシュリケン, Shinobi Shuriken) - The giant shuriken on the chest. It can be detached as used as a normal shuriken.
• Shinobi Shoulder (シノビショルダー, Shinobi Shorudā) - The shoulders. Kamen Rider Shinobi's abilities are recorded here and allow Kamen Rider Woz to utilize Ninjutsu techniques.
• Shinobi Armor Liner (シノビアーマライナー, Shinobi Āma Rainā) - The 'strap' that runs down Woz's torso. It is the Expansion Band Liner but reinforced with data from the Shinobi Miridewatch. It contains most of Kamen Rider Shinobi's special equipment, such as optical camouflage equipment and stealth functions.

Kamen Rider WozGingaFinaly (仮面ライダーウォズギンガファイナリー, Kamen Raidā WozuGingaFainarī) is Woz's base final form accessed with the Ginga Miridewatch, based on the powers of Kamen Rider Ginga. Its visor spells out "Ginga" (ギンガ, "Ginga") in katakana.

As WozGingaFinaly, Woz gains a tremendous amount of power leveraged from Kamen Rider Ginga, surpassing all his previous forms in every stat.

Also, as demonstrated during his battle with Another Drive, this form is immune to the effects of Heavy Acceleration. According to Woz, it's because there's no gravity in the universe.

GingaFinaly adds the following parts:

• Caliber S/GF (キャリバーS/GF, Kyaribā S/GF) - The head. 'GF' stands for 'GingaFinaly'.
  • Clock Blade S Ginga (クロックブレードSギンガ, Kurokku Burēdo S Ginga) - The antenna. It is a data collection device. The left Baryon Mechanical Hand captures temporal information such as enemy timing while the right Meson Mechanical Hand captures spatial information and measures the appropriate relative position of the landing point of the enemy's timing and firing attack. Additionally, Kamen Rider Ginga's ability has been added to obtain communication strength and sensitivity that enables transmission and reception with the center of the galaxy.
  • War Signal Ginga (ウォーシグナル・ギンガ, Uō Shigunaru Ginga) - The information analyzing unit on the forehead. It integrates and analyzes information from various sensors to derive the optimal solution and adjust the rate of the system. In addition, the ability of Kamen Rider Ginga is added, and it is possible to navigate the universe by selecting a target that meets the condition during transformation.
  • Indication Track Eye Ginga (インジケーショントラックアイ・ギンガ, Injikēshon Torakku Ai Ginga) - The visor that spells out 'Ginga'. It grants Woz a 270° viewing angle. Kamen Rider Ginga's ability is added, the vision sensor changes that of Ginga's Minera Vision (ミネラビジョン, Minera Bijon), composed mainly of minerals. The track eyes, in which the Minera Visions is arranged concentrically, function independently of each other and actively follow the blind spot. It also shows Woz's current state is displayed upon switching.
• GingaArmor (ギンガアーマー, Ginga Āmā) - GingaFinaly's main body armor. It is made from cemented carbide that cannot be purified under gravity, and is highly dense and robust. In addition, the energy purification device Power Pure Fi (パワーピュアフィ, Pawā Pyua Fi) is provided, by supplying to the whole body by taking out Pure Power (ピュアパワー, Pyua Pawā) from sunlight from the solar light, to give the power to defeat an Another Rider.
• Gravicon Saucer (グラビコンソーサー, Gurabikon Sōsā) - The flying saucer ornaments serving as graviton controllers. A super micro black hole maintained in an equilibrium state is enclosed inside, and the force is used to control the massless graviton to freely change the gravity applied to any object.
• Ginga Sail (ギンガセイル, Ginga Seiru) - GingaFinaly's moth cloak based on Kamen Rider Ginga's Gravi Sail. It also functions as a shield that takes advantage of the height of the resistance against physical attack on the passing of harmful cosmic rays. In addition, at the time of Special Move, the GingaFinaly Space (ギンガファイナリースペース, Ginga Fainarī Supēsu), which closely resembles the universe, is developed to capture the enemy, improve the hit rate of the Special Move, and reduce secondary damage.
• Cross Armor Liner (クロスアーマライナー, Kurosu Āma Rainā) - The 'strap' that runs down on Woz's torso. It is the Expansion Band Liner reinforced with the Ginga Miridewatch. Kamen Rider Ginga's special equipment is built in, allowing to reproduce various abilities such as generation of pseudo-planetary bullets Energy Planet (エナジープラネット, Enajī Puranetto).

Kamen Rider Ginga's special equipment is built in, allowing to reproduce various abilities such as generation of pseudo-planetary bullets Energy Planet (エナジープラネット, Enajī Puranetto).

This form's finisher is the Sui-kin-chi-ka-moku-do-ten-kai Explosion (水金地火木土天海エクスプロージョン, Sui-kin-chi-ka-moku-do-ten-kai Ekusuprōjon, lit. "Mercury-Venus-Earth-Mars-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus-Neptune Explosion"):

• Rider Shooting: Woz creates constructs resembling the planets in the solar system that then diffuse into multiple energy asteroids that rain down upon any enemy within the area the asteroids hit.
• Rider Kick: Woz performs a flying kick with his foot covered in blue energy resembling a spiral galaxy.

This Ridewatch was created from Black Woz attempting to separate from Red Woz when Hiryu Kakogawa rewrote time.

Relationships

• Sougo Tokiwa/Kamen Rider Zi-O: Black Woz is the zealous believer of Ohma Zi-O. As he believed Sougo to be the evil Ohma Zi-O, Woz helps Sougo in his journey to becoming a demon king, It is revealed that Woz's loyalty is to the real SOUGO Tokiwa, the founder and leader of Quartzer from another timeline. After seeing the Zi-O timeline's Sougo obtain the power of Ohma Zi-O as Zi-O OhmaForm however, Woz renounced his loyalty and membership of Quartzer, now fully supporting this Sougo.

Quartzer

• SOUGO Tokiwa: Woz is actually a fervent member of Quartzer. The leader sent Woz to Zi-O's timeline with the Ohma Advent Calendar to ensure his counterpart in that timeline become Ohma Zi-O. When Sougo and the other Quartzer come to Zi-O's own timeline, Woz quickly sides with them.
