Worm (Chrysalis) (ワーム(サナギ体), Wāmu (Sanagi-tai)) are the immature pupa form of the Worms. They have two sets of hands, one permanently covering their faces. They attack in groups, one tending to molt into an adult Worm while the others act as foot soldiers. The Native Worms' pupa form has a long horn similar to a rhinoceros beetle.
History[]
Kamen Rider Wizard[]
When Haruto arrived in the world within the Magic Stone he met two Salis Worms that tried to take the chest containing the 13 Rider Rings to Amadum, while it was held by him. They grabbed him and dragged him holding the chest, quickly moving through various points throughout the city. When the young boy summoned Faiz and Kabuto, the two Worms let go of Haruto and molted to their stronger forms, Culex Worm and Cammarus Worm, speeding off to face the Riders. Joined by Musca Worm, they fought Faiz Axel and Kabuto in a super-speed battle across the city which ended right next to Double and Fourze's battle with Masquerade Dopants and Stardust Ninja Dustards. Culex Worm and Cammarus Worm were destroyed by Kabuto's Rider Kick.[The Kamen Rider Rings] Another Salis Worm was later destroyed alongside an Ankylosaurus Yummy by the Ongekibou Rekka of Hibiki Kurenai.[Neverending Story]

Behind the Scenes[]
Concept Art[]
Worm (Chrysalis) as well as other variations, was designed by Yasushi Nirasawa (韮沢 靖, Nirasawa Yasushi).
Notes[]
- The Chrysalises would later start the trend of monster-of-the-fortnight being evolved from low-class goons in later Kamen Rider Series.
- In the design book Worm Works: GITAI, the name is different with the current official sources:
- サナギ体 is named with Salis Worm (サリスワーム, Sarisu Wāmu).
- The default form is named with Early Salis (アーリーサリス, Ārī Sarisu).
- The Pre-molting State is named with End Salis (エンドサリス, Endo Sarisu).
- The Chrysalis White is named with Mutation Salis (突然変異体, Myūtēshon Sarisu).
- The Chrysalises that appear in Kamen Rider Kabuto: God Speed Love have similar appearance to the Natives.[1] According to Yasushi Nirasawa revealed in Worm Works: GITAI, the Native Worm's suit is originally designed for the Worms in the God Speed Love at first.
