The Valvaradriver (ヴァルバラドライバー, Varubaradoraibā) was the transformation device used by Kamen Rider Valvarad.
Overview[]
The new driver project was led by Kyoka Edami, an independent developer of the Alchemys Union. While using the Gotchardriver as a basis, the technology cultivated by the Alchemys Union has been applied without reserve. In addition, final adjustments were completed with actual data from the Gotcharigniter and Alchemisdriver provided by the Kitchen ICHINOSE Union.
Only when the forces of the two Ride Chemy Cards are balanced can black-purple flame-enhanced multiple transmutation of a human and two Chemies be performed. The holder of this Driver will be given the courtesy name "Kamen Rider".[1]
After Spanner’s battle with Houtaro over the fate of the Chemies, the Valvaradriver was destroyed due to Supana's overuse of black flame power. Later in Fuga Kudo's laboratory, Supana decided to create a new driver, which inspired by Valvaradriver. The in-development driver eventually transmuted into Valvaradriver Kurogane in the duel with Gigist.
Design[]
The Valvaradriver is composed of the following parts:[1]
- Ride Chemy Card Slot (ライドケミーカードスロット, Raido Kemī Kādo Surotto): Loading slot for Ride Chemy Cards. The balance mechanism measures the Ride Chemy Cards loaded in each receptacle, and only when the forces are balanced can black-purple flame-enhanced multiple transmutation of a human and two Chemies be performed.
- Valvara Alchemixer (ヴァルバラアルケミキサ, Varubara Arukemikisa): The black-purple flame substitution type alchemy deployment device. It performs black-purple flame-enhanced multiple transmutation by deploying the advanced technique of multiple transmutation using black-purple flames.
- Burst V-twin (バーストブイツイン, Bāsuto Bui Tsuin): The ignition device. The left and right cylinders are responsible for igniting and exploding the power of the Chemies, and supplying it to the black-purple flame substitution type alchemy deployment device "Valvara Alchemixer".
- Burst Chamber (バーストチャンバー, Bāsuto Chanbā ): The expansion chamber. A portion of the black-purple flame that overflows when the alchemy is activated is sent back to the "Burst V-twin" to generate a chamber effect that strengthens the power of compression and explosion.
- Semi Altvoke (セミアルトヴォーク, Semi Arutovōku): The lever-type alchemy activation device. Multiple transmutation starts by opening and closing.
- Varadrange (ヴァラドレンジ, Varadorenji): Alchemical effect range band. The Valvaradriver is fixed to the waist of the wearer to govern the area of effect of alchemy and preventing the spread of power.
Functionality[]
Transformation[]
Supana transforms by inserting a pair of Ride Chemy Cards into the Ride Chemy Card Slots and pulling the Semi-Altvoke levers, thus transforming him into Kamen Rider Valvarad.
Finisher[]
To initiate the finisher, Valvarad presses the Semi Altvoke levers back in before pulling them once more.
Users (chronological order)[]
User | Kamen Rider | Episode Obtained | Episode Destroyed | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
Supana Kurogane | Mad Warrior! Valvarad the Black Flame! | Big Clash! Houtaro vs. Supana | The driver was developed by Kyoka and finished with the aid of the members of Kitchen ICHINOSE Union. It was later taken by Minato under Kyoka's consent, and ultimately claimed by Supana after he defeated Minato. At the end of a fight against Houtaro, and as a result of Supana overusing his black flame powers, the belt was destroyed. |

Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
- The Valvaradriver is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi (小西 克幸, Konishi Katsuyuki).
Ride Chemy Trading Card[]
The DX Gotcharigniter (which is used to configure the DX Gotchardriver into the Valvaradriver) includes the following cards:
Card Image | Card Number | Name | Level Number | Attribute | Rarity |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
TCS-033 | Machwheel | 6 | Vehicle |
SR | |
TCS-034 | Daiohni | 6 | Occult |
SR |
Notes[]
- Unlike the in-show Valvaradriver which is a separate Driver, the DX Valvaradriver is formed by attaching the Gotcharigniter to the Gotchardriver and pushing the switches on the front up.
- Rather than combining Ride Chemy Cards with Level Numbers that add up to 10, Valvaradriver requires the cards to be of equal Level Number and both from the Vehicle and Occult categories.
- The sole exception is the combination of Gigantliner GT and Daiohni GT, as the former has a unique level listed.
