Uryu Takato

Uryu Takato (高塔雨竜, Takatō Uryū) is a playable character in Ride Kamens. He is the secretary of Takato Enterprises as well as a member of Tower Emblem who transforms into Kamen Rider Toryu (仮面ライダー塔竜, Kamen Raidā Tōryū).

History[]

Takato was born on a March 25th. He was the 4th member of the B Class of the Rider Academy.

Prologue[]

During the Academy's graduation exam, he was chosen with Narushi Kamui by the examinator for the first round of the transformation test, even though he was hoping to see the other pupils try the transformation beforehand. After Araki and Kamui caused trouble, Uryu went ahead to transform. However, he transformed into Chaos Rider Uryu (カオスライダー雨竜, Kaosu Raidā Uryū), and started attacking his fellows.

To the surprise of every other pupil, the examinator considered Uryu's transformation a success, and revealed that the Rider Academy is part of Chaosism, a secret organisation scheming for world destruction and recreation.

Personality[]

The secretary to the president of Takato Enterprises, he trains every day as a corporate warrior under his older brother, Taiten. He is a hardworking honor student, but sometimes loses his confidence and becomes timid. He likes cute things and secretly keeps a pet hamster.

Etymology[]

Toryu (塔竜, Tōryū) comes from combining the last character of Uryu's surname and given name (高塔雨竜)
His last name (高塔, Takatō) contains the kanji for "tower", which is part of his team name.

Notes[]

Kamen Rider Toryu's design pays homage to Kamen Rider Ryugen from Kamen Rider Gaim. Uryu's civilian clothing bears a dragon embalming while his Rider spear has a design similar to Ryugen's Budou Ryuhou.
- Like Ryugen's civilian identity Mitsuzane Kureshima, Uryu is also a younger brother of a successful businessman and is a honor student with a hidden side to him. The differences is that Mitsuzane is become antagonist Rider until Gaim's climax he choose redeeming his action while Uryu is still remained heroic Rider.
