Touma Kamiyama (神山飛羽真, Kamiyama Tōma) is the main protagonist of Kamen Rider Saber. He is a novelist and bookstore owner who fights the Megid as Kamen Rider Saber (仮面ライダーセイバー, Kamen Raidā Seibā) in the hopes of recovering his lost childhood memories.
History
Early Life
Previous Saber saved Touma from the Megid
Touma was born in Wonder World and was friends with Kento Fukamiya & Luna. As a child, he was caught in the battle between the Sword of Logos and the Megid. However, when Luna was sucked to a tornado, Touma tried to save her but lost the grasp of her hand. He was rescued by the previous Kamen Rider Saber at the time, before being sent to Earth, and inherited his Brave Dragon Wonder Ridebook. As a result of arriving into a foreign world, he lost the memories of his past.
Adulthood
Sometime later, Touma became a novelist and opened his very own antique bookstore called Fantastic Bookstore Kamiyama, with Mei Sudo as his editor. Although he lost his childhood memories, he was able to relive the past memories through what he believed to be dreams.
Becoming Saber
One day, just as Touma and Mei are going to present a copy of his book to Ryota when in town for his birthday, the city suddenly came under attack from a monster originated from the Wonder World. Touma, saved by a red Wonder Ride Book, and determined to save everyone, obtained the Seiken Swordriver, and transforms into Kamen Rider Saber for the first time.
Later, he met Rintaro Shindo, a blue Sword of Logos warrior who came to Touma's Bookstore to ask him to return the Kaenken Rekka, Seiken Swordriver, and his Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book as Rintaro's request was denied by Touma himself but soon ask Touma to come with him to the Sword of Logos Headquarters after Rintaro use his Book Gate Wonder Ride Book to open a portal to the Headquarters. After they arrive at the Headquarters, Touma was greeted by Sophia, the founder of Sword of Logos Organization.
Personality
As a novelist and bookstore owner, Touma has a deep and immense love for books, believing they bring happiness and joy to others. He's easygoing, but has a passionate side and values "promises" above all else.
Touma is shown to be kid-friendly, and reads stories to children at the bookstore.
He has a catchphrase in which he says during battle I will decide the story's ending! (物語の結末は俺が決める!, Monogatari no ketsumatsu wa ore ga kimeru!).

- Innovative Combatant: Upon becoming Kamen Rider Saber, Touma proved to be quick to learn to use his abilities, and demonstrated some mastery with his Kaenken Rekka.[Chapter 1: In The Beginning, There Was a Flame Swordsman.] Unlike most swordsmen, Touma uses his Wonder Ride books in creative ways that others would not typically think of, such as using his Dragon Jakun form to create a beanstalk to catch up to the Kirigirisu Megid and send the Hanzaki Megid flying, [Chapter 2: The Water Swordsman, Along With a Blue Lion.] [Chapter 3: A Father, and a Swordsman.] and using his Dragon Hedgehog Peter form to yank the enhanced Hanzaki Megid and slash it with its needle.
Weaknesses

Brave Dragon (ブレイブドラゴン, Bureibu Doragon) is Saber's dragon-based primary form accessed by using the Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book in the Seiken Swordriver.
Saber mainly used his sword for attacks, and does not rely on punches and kicks, therefore his punching power and kicking power are quite low.
Brave Dragon consists of the following parts:
- Saber Helm Brave Dragon (セイバーヘルム ブレイブドラゴン, Seibā Herumu Bureibu Doragon): The helmet.
- Sword Crown (ソードクラウン, Sōdo Kuraun): The blade on the forehead. It is installed on the top of the head as a proof of being selected by a Seiken. It has the role of adjusting the state of Kamen Rider Saber and the Seiken, and adjusts the power balance between them and cancels transformation in an emergency. It is also a blade with a sharp edge, and can also be used in battle.
- Brave Dragon Mask (ブレイブドラゴンマスク, Bureibu Doragon Masuku): The right side of the helmet. The power of the Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book grants the ability to sense evil beings.
- Mid Mask (ミッドマスク, Middo Masuku): The forehead mask. It has the property of enhancing the physical ability of the user, and by exerting the power of the Wonder Ride Book contained in the midshelf of the Seiken Swordriver, it exerts various abilities. It is said to be particularly compatible with animal-based Wonder Ride Books.
- Cross Flame Visor (クロスフレイムバイザー, Kurosu Fureimu Baizā): The eyes. Even in a burning flame, the user can catch the target and never miss it.
- Left Mask (レフトマスク, Refuto Masuku): The left side of the helmet. It has a characteristic that strongly affects the activation of special abilities by the user, and exerts various abilities by putting the power of the Wonder Ride Book contained in the left shelf of the Seiken Swordriver. It is said to be particularly compatible with the story-based Wonder Ride Book.
- Sword Robe (ソードローブ, Sōdo Rōbu): The suit granted by the user of the Seiken "Kaenken Rekka". It is attached at the same time as the awakening of the Seiken, and gives the user the power to fight such as improving sword skills, strengthening physical abilities, and activating special abilities. This characteristic is assigned to the right half of the body, which is based on the God Beast "Brave Dragon", the center of the body, and the left half of the body.
- Brave Dragon Bauld (ブレイブドラゴンボールド, Bureibu Doragon Bōrudo, play on words "Brave Dragon Pauldron"): The right shoulder. It has the power of the God Beast, "Brave Dragon", and uses the courage of the user to bring forth the dragon's mighty power.
- Burn Gaunt (バーンガント, Bān Ganto, short for "Burn Gauntlet"): The right arm. Bringing the right arm of the “Ride Arm” to red heat gives the power to control the flame freely, enabling the release of the Brave Dragon that has turned into a flame. In addition, it becomes one with the horrible flames of the Seiken "Kaenken Rekka", and doubles the sharpness of the sword skill of the flame attribute.
- Mai Scale (メイスケイル, Meisukeiru, short for "Mail Scale"): The right half of the suit. It is made of a series of flame-attributed hard scales, preventing any evil attacks. There is only one scale that grows upside down somewhere, and if you touch it, it will awaken the fierce anger of the Brave Dragon.
- Ride Mid (ライドミッド, Raido Middo): The center portion of the suit. It has the property of enhancing the physical ability of a transformer, and by exerting the power of the Wonder Ride Book contained in the midshelf of the Seiken Swordriver, it exerts various abilities. It is said to be particularly compatible with animal-based Wonder Ridebooks.
- Ride Leg (ライドレッグ, Raido Reggu): The legs and feet of the suit. Due to the characteristics of the "Ride Mid" in the central part of the armor "Sword Robe", overall leg strength such as running power, jumping power and kicking power has been greatly enhanced. In addition, when the special move is activated, the destructive power of the kick is greatly increased as the leg is ignited in flames.
- Ride Left (ライドレフト, Raido Refuto): The left half of the suit. Dragon Eagle (ドラゴンイーグル, Doragon Īguru) is Saber's eagle-based form, accessed by using the Brave Dragon and Storm Eagle Wonder Ride Books in the Seiken Swordriver.[5]
In this form, Saber can combine the powers of Brave Dragon and Storm Eagle to generate a fiery tornado to incinerate everything in its path. Due to utilizing a compatible Wonder Ride Book, Dragon Eagle's stats were overall higher than those of Saber's Wonder Rider forms that utilizes two Wonder Ride Books. This form's stats also rival those of Dragon Hedgehog Peter, with the former possessing slightly higher punching power and maximum jump height, while the latter has slightly higher kicking power and maximum running speed.
Dragon Eagle adds the following parts
- Saber Helm Dragon Eagle (セイバーヘルム ドラゴンイーグル, Seibā Herumu Doragon Īguru): The helmet.
- Storm Eagle Mask (ストームイーグル, Sutōmu Īguru Masuku): The forehead mask. With the power of the Storm Eagle Wonder Ride Book, it brings hawk eyes that accurately capture targets on the ground from the sky, and you will not miss any trivial behavior.
- Breas Eagle (ブレスイーグル, Buresu Īguru): The chest armor. It possesses the power of the animal "Storm Eagle" and grants the user the power of flight and manipulate tornadoes.
- Winger Mail (ウインガメイル, Uingameiru): The center armor. From the front to the back, tough wings are piled up to strengthen the defense. The back is equipped with the "Vermilion Wing" (バーミリオンウイング, Bāmirion Uingu) that grants the power of flight, and can generate a tornado.
- Storm Sault (ストームソルト, Sutōmu Soruto): The leg and feet. It provides accuracy and sharp kicking power that enables ambush from the sky to the target like an eagle. Furthermore, when the Rider Finisher is activated, the destructive power of the kick is greatly increased as the leg is encased in flames.
This form's finisher is Kaen Tatsumakizan (火炎竜巻斬［カエンタツマキザン］, lit. Flame Tornado Slash): Saber holds Kaenken Rekka in reverse-grip fashion to summon a large tornado. Then, after turning Kaenken Rekka in proper-grip, he jumps into the tornado, igniting it to create a fiery whirlwind to destroy the targets.

Dragon Jackun (ドラゴンジャッ君, Doragon Jakkun) is Saber's Jack and the Beanstalk-based form, accessed by using the Brave Dragon and Jackun-to-Domamenoki Wonder Ride Books in the Seiken Swordriver.
In this form, Saber's stats are a bit higher than his Brave Dragon form, surpassing them by small margins. It also grants Saber the ability to shoot green bean-like projectiles called Domame Beans. If shot at the ground, the Domame Beans can turn into a giant beanstalk to allow easier access to great heights.
Dragon Jackun adds the following parts:
- Saber Helm Dragon Jackun (セイバーヘルム ドラゴンジャッ君, Seibā Herumu Doragon Jakkun): The helmet.
- Domamenoki Mask (ドマメノキマスク, Domamenoki Masuku): The left side of the helmet. With the power of Jackun-to-Domamenoki Wonder Ride Book, the vine extends to the Sword Crown on the forehead, allowing Saber to manipulate the vitality of the Domamenoki (土豆の木) tree.

- Entangle Gaunt (インタングルガント, Intanguru Ganto, short for "Entangle Gauntlet"): The left arm. It has the ability to eject Domame (ドマメ) Seeds, which have outer skins harder than steel, at high speeds like bullets. Additionally, by expanding and contracting the entwined vines and deploying them like a whip or rope, it can be used for various purposes such as catching distant objects and changing direction in the air.
- Botanica Mail (ボタニカメイル, Botanika Meiru): The mail armor covering the left side of the body. The bark, pods and ivy that all make up the Tree of Earthen Beans become armor, and any damaged area can be restored instantly. It also allows Saber to firmly fix his body by rooting it on the ground.

In this form, Saber has a higher punching and kicking power, but only by small margins. Saber's running speed is also increased compared to the base form. Besides that, he can use the "Capture Hook" (キャプチャーフック, Kyapuchā Fukku) claw to catch his enemies. Unfortunately, Saber has not achieved the full power of this form yet, causing the projection of the fairy to go out-of-control, which causes accidents as shown during his debut fight.

- Saber Helm Dragon Hedgehog (セイバーヘルム ドラゴンヘッジホッグ, Seibā Herumu Doragon Hejjihoggu): The helmet.
- Needle Hedgehog Mask (ニードルヘッジホッグマスク, Nīdoru Hejjihoggu Masuku): The forehead mask. It possesses the Needle Blonde (ニードルブロンド, Nīdoru Burondo), which allows the user to sense danger and launch spikes at the enemy.
- Hedgehog Breas (ヘッジホッグブレス, Hejjihoggu Buresu): The chest armor. It possesses the power of the animal "Needle Hedgehog" and grants the user hedgehog quills for offensive and defensive purposes.

This form's finisher is the Shutoku Issen (習得一閃, Shūtoku Issen, Lit. "Learning Flash"): Saber scans a Wonder Ride Book against the tip of the blade, and performs an attack based off of it.
- Needle Hedgehog: The blade of the Kaenken Rekka manifests a mass yellow energy quills before Saber delivers a slash that launches all the quills at any nearby enemies. He then delivers two extra slashes for extra damage.

- Hedgehog Wonder (ヘッジホッグ・ワンダー, Heggihoggu Wandā): By pressing on the Needle Hedgehog WonderRide, Sabers perform a slash, than the enemy is trapped in needles.
- Kaenken Rekka finishers:
- Kaen Dohatsuten (火炎怒髪天, Kaen Dohatsu Ten, lit. Flame Infuriation): Saber stands the ground, and the enemy is sent floating, as Saber launches a volley of yellow needles, than a slash from on the Sword Crown, and a fiery dragon construct bites down on the enemy, destroying them.

Dragon Eagle Butasan (ドラゴンイーグルぶた3, Doragon Īguru Butasan) is Saber's eagle and 3 Little Pigs-based form, accessed by using the Brave Dragon, Storm Eagle and Kobuta 3 Kyoudai Wonder Ride Books in the Seiken Swordriver.[17]
In this form, Saber has higher kicking and punching power than Dragon Hedgehog Peter, and has higher running speed.
Dragon Eagle Butasan consists the following parts:
- Saber Helm Dragon Eagle Butasan (セイバーヘルム ドラゴンイーグルぶた3, Seibā Herumu Doragon Īguru Butasan): The helmet.
- Sword Crown (ソードクラウン, Sōdo Kuraun)
- Brave Dragon Mask (ブレイブドラゴンマスク, Bureibu Doragon Masuku)
- Storm Eagle Mask (ストームイーグル, Sutōmu Īguru Masuku)
- Cross Flame Visor (クロスフレイムバイザー, Kurosu Fureimu Baizā)
- Independent Mask (インディペンデントマスク, Indipendento Masuku): The left mask. With the power of the "Kobuta 3 Kyoudai" Wonder Ride Book, it became possible to see the essence of various attacks.
- Sword Robe (ソードローブ, Sōdo Rōbu)

- Bros Arm (ブロスアーム, Burosu Āmu): The left arm. It possesses the "Steppig Wise" (ステッピッグワイズ, Suteppiggu Waizu) shield on the forearm can be enlarged to the size of a house. Furthermore, by changing to the three different properties of straw, wood and brick, it functions as a shield to protect multiple people at once.
- Home Mail (ホームメイル, Hōmu Meiru): The left side of the suit. The outer wall with high defensive power has learning ability, and by learning the attacks received from foreign enemies, measures are taken with the "Steppig Wise".
- Seiken Swordriver finishers:
- Kaen Buhizan (火炎舞飛斬, Kaen Buhizan, lit. Flame Dance Flying Slash): Saber summons an apparition of Three Little Pigs that traps the enemy into a straw house they built in succession. Saber then deliver a diagonal upward slash, to summon a tornado that destroy the house and the enemy inside as well.

- Luna: Touma's childhood friend. Touma is unable to save her from being sucked into a portal to a mysterious place and susequently loses his memory of her.
- Mei Sudo: Mei is Touma's editor for his novels. She witnessed Touma's first transformation into Saber. Mei usually pesters Touma to submit the monthly script of his books, but nevertheless supports him when he fights as Saber
- Rintaro Shindo/Kamen Rider Blades: When they first met, Rintaro asks Touma to return the Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book & Seiken Swordriver, but when Touma refused in a good manner, knowing how much he needs it for something, Rintaro decides to help him and teaches him how to fight. The two become close allies ever since, albeit he usually flabbergasted with the latter's unorthodox method of fighting. .
- Kento Fukamiya/Kamen Rider Espada: Touma's childhood friend. According to Kento, a lot of Touma's memories are missing, which doesn't include their time as best friends. Yet despite that, Touma and Kento look out for each other as Kento waits for Touma's memories to be fully restored. They enjoy stories and traveled in their past lives and do so once again.
- Sophia: By joining the Sword of Logos she becomes Touma's mentor.
- Ryo Ogami/Kamen Rider Buster: Although Touma is kind to Ryo, he belittles him, considering him very strange and does not understand why Touma was chosen as Saber, calling him "novelist" and not by name. After seeing that Touma really wants to save his son, Ryo begins to consider him an ally.
- Ren Akamichi/Kamen Rider Kenzan: Ren develops a fierce rivalry with Touma because of Touma's status as Kento's childhood friend.
- Aruto Hiden/Kamen Rider Zero-One: Although they have never met, Touma admires Zero-One and has recorded his activities down on a 2-page report.

Touma is portrayed by Syuichiro Naito (内藤秀一郎, Naito Shuichiro). As Kamen Rider Saber, his suit actor is Kosuke Asai (浅井 宏輔, Asai Kōsuke)[21].

Etymology
- Touma's name works as a pun of the English word "tome", which is used to refer to notably large and scholarly books.
- As with the naming scheme of all the Saber Riders, Saber is named after the saber, or alternately spelled "sabre", a type of curved blade-style sword utilized by light cavalry armies in the early days of warfare and the Napoleonic periods.

- Kamen Rider Saber is also the first titular Rider since Den-O to have his forms based on Fairy Tales.
- Touma is the first primary Rider to not originate from Earth, but born from a different homeworld.
- Production-wise, Kamen Rider Saber is the first titular Reiwa Rider and the second titular Kamen Rider overall to not officially debut in his predecessor's season via movie or TV series since Kamen Rider Drive, with Touma appearing in Kamen Rider Saber Prologue which was released during the endgame arc of Zero-One.
- The fact that the Sword Crown can be used in battle relates to how the Wisp Horn (on Kamen Rider Ghost’s Damashii forms) could be used as a headbutting/stabbing weapon.
