The 34th edition of the Tokyo International Film Festival was held from October 30, 2021 to November 8, 2021, across various locations in the Hibiya, Yurakucho and Ginza districts in Tokyo.

The Japanese Animation section of the TIFF had a huge focus on the Kamen Rider Series, as part of a widespread celebration of the franchise's 50th anniversary. Throughout the duration of the festival, film screenings were held for several iconic films released during the franchise's history. As with the previous year's TIFF which focused on Super Sentai, various talk shows and panels were held focusing on various aspects and seasons of the Kamen Rider series, with appearances by veteran cast and crew talking about their experiences while working on the series.

Each of the panels were also streamed online on the TIFF's official YouTube channel.
