This article is about a phenomenon in the Kamen Rider Series.

Time Travel is the process of traveling through different points in time. This concept is featured multiple times in the franchise.

Confirmed Methods[]

This is a list of methods where there is a physical/tangible object serving as the primary catalyst for temporal travel.

Kamen Rider: Seigi no Keifu	Evil Eye	The Evil Eye possesses the power to disrupt the natural flow and merge certain points of time, bringing Kamen Riders of several eras together.
Kamen Rider Ryuki	Time Vent Card	The card allows its user to send himself or someone else back in time. This person usually seems incapable of significantly altering the flow of time they encounter as they live back to the present, as Shinji Kido discovers much to his dismay. ^{[Time Vent]}
Kamen Rider Kabuto	Hyper Zecter	The Riders can use the Hyper Zecter to travel faster than the speed of light, essentially enabling time travel. The Zecter itself can also travel through time, allowing it to be used by more than one Rider, as seen in the now non-canon Kamen Rider Kabuto Hyper Battle Video, or to continue being used even after it is destroyed, such as in its debut episode.
Kamen Rider Den-O	DenLiner	A locomotive capable of penetrating the temporal stream of time can be used to time travel, though destinations are usually only locked to speciifc points where a Rider Ticket points to. However, this can be superceded with the authority of Owner, as seen in Den-O's finale.

Kamen Rider Kiva	Castle Doran	Castle Doran can open a Time Door to summon or send any person from or into any moment in the past. Castle Doran itself can enter the time stream.
Kamen Rider Decade	Aurora Curtain	Tsukasa Kadoya and Daiki Kaito are capable of time traveling using their Aurora Curtains. Tsukasa would later use this to travel from 2018 to 2015 to aid Another Ghost. He later used this ability to send Sougo Tokiwa to 2068. Daiki later demonstrated this ability by opening up a portal to 2068, where Ohma Zi-O was able to talk to Sougo and Geiz through the portal. Tsukasa demonstrated this ability again by taking Tsukuyomi to 2058.
Kamen Rider Wizard	Time Ring	Haruto Soma can use the Time Ring to open a time portal that connects to another point in time.
Kamen Rider Gaim	Forbidden Fruit	Mai Takatsukasa, the Woman of the Beginning, used power of the Fruit to go back to the past in an attempt to change the history. However, according to DJ Sagara, whom can also enter the time stream, the structure of time itself is so complicated that not even the nigh-limitless power of the Golden Fruit can properly control traveling through it. As a result, she herself gets lost in multiple parallel timelines. After Kouta Kazuraba became the Man of the Beginning, by eating the fruit, he gained the innate power to travel through time and used it to talk to Sougo Tokiwa in 2013.
Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3 D-Video Special: Kamen Rider 4	History Modifying Machine	Shocker used the machine to send Kamen Rider 3 back in time to 1971. It was later indirectly used by Shinnosuke Tomari to defeat Shocker and Kamen Rider 4.
Kamen Rider Drive	Time Road	"Eiji Tomari" used the Time Road to travel from 2035 back to 2015 in order to destroy Krim Steinbelt and bring forth a dystopian future ruled by the Roidmudes.
Kamen Rider Zi-O	Time Mazine	The Time Mazines are capable of traveling through time. Two units are in possession of both Geiz Myokoin and Sougo Tokiwa, while Michal Minato possesses an older model.
Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations	Cyclotron Driver	The Cyclotron Driver allows the user to send themselves or others through time, though it is only their consciousness that does so and not their physical body. Ryunosuke used the Driver that was created by George in 2071 to consciously travel back to 2021. Afterwards, the team in 2021 use Ryunosuke's Driver to travel to 2071 to help the elderly George against the Devil Rider Corps.
Kamen Rider Gotchard	Daybreak Timelord Gigantliner	Several Chemy have the ability to transport others through time. Houtaro Ichinose is sent to the past by Gotchard Daybreak using Daybreak Timelord, while Gigantliner was able to send him to the future. It should be noted that this method of time travel is not dynamic, meaning any changes in the past will create a new timeline branching off from when the time traveler arrived from the future. When the time traveler returns to the future, they will return to their original unaltered future.

Other cases[]

This is a list of methods where there is no known physical catalyst to trigger the temporal travel, or rather the method itself is not entirely clear or known.

The very first case of time travel and the only one to occur in the Showa era was in Kamen Rider Black, where Golgom's Cobra Mutant possessed a device that allowed him to travel through time. ^{[The Dangerous Time Thief]}
Kohtaro Minami, as Black RX, once traveled to the past to help his pre-RX self. ^{[Kamen Rider: Run All Over the World]}
Imagin Contracts: After fulfilling the contracts made with their contract holders, the Imagins can open their host's body to go into the past to the point of their most intense memory. Kai is also capable of opening himself up as a time portal for an Imagin to any point in his own past without need for a contract to be made and fulfilled.
In finale of Kamen Rider Kiva, Masao Kurenai (future Kamen Rider Kiva) and Kivat-Bat the 4th traveled back in time to the present day (2009) from 2031 to fight alongside their predecessors against the Neo-Fangire, who have also come from 2031.
In Cho Kamen Rider Den-O & Decade Neo Generations: The Onigashima Warship, an earthquake in 1980 causes a time crack, allows Mimihiko to go through.
The space-time police force in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider: Cho-Den-O Trilogy Episode Yellow has their own method of time-traveling.
In Kamen Rider OOO Wonderful: The Shogun and the 21 Core Medals, Gara used a device empowered by the desire energy collected by the Bells to warp time over three locations as part of his plan.
In Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max, a time crack was opened when a meteor landed in Japan, connecting the present to the point of 40 years in the future. This time crack collapses after Kamen Rider Aqua and future Ankh return to the future, but was briefly opened again by Aqua to distribute Super Core Medals to Kamen Rider OOO.
Eel has the ability to open a time portal.
In Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z, Saburo Kazeta somehow travels back in time to help his future teacher.
In Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive: Super Movie Wars Genesis, Ryu Tenkuji in 2005 somehow was able to open a wormhole to the Monolith in the basement of the Daitenku Temple in 2015 to bring his son in the past. When dying, he opened another wormhole to return his son and his friend to the present.
Woz has the ability to travel through time and meet Zi-O where ever he is, although how he does it is unknown. The Time Jackers also share this ability as well.
While these timelines technically do not exist, Kento Fukamiya was able to witness and experience several of them pertaining to the fate of the world through Ankokuken Kurayami.
Ryunosuke Momose arrived in 2071 from 1971 through a wormhole in space. ^{[Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations]}
In Kamen Rider Geats, the Desire Grand Prix staff, sponsors, and audience originate in the distant future. The entire tournament is an entertainment-based reality show that takes place in various time periods across history.

Hitching a ride on the DenLiner as it tracks a New Mole Imagin to November 11th in 1971, the Greeed Ankh accidentally leaves behind a Cell Medal which is recovered by Shocker, who combines it with the Core Medal they crafted to create the Shocker Greeed, the ultimate warrior who defeats the Double Riders, allowing Shocker to seize control of the Earth while allying with numerous villainous factions, seemingly erasing the Kamen Rider legacy. The concept of time travel itself as a science is often discussed analogous with Einstein's theory of relatively, meaning that the closer a person or object reaches the speed of light, it increases their likelihood of traveling through time. In terms of fiction, time travel is a common concept used in many forms of popular culture.
