This article is about a villain group in Kamen Rider Gotchard. |
The Three Dark Sisters (冥黒の三姉妹, Meikoku no Sanshimai) were the major antagonists of Kamen Rider Gotchard. They were a trio of homunculi created and employed by Glion to help him open the Door of Darkness where the Dark King Gigist sealed behind.
After Glion was defeated and dragged into the door by Gigist, Atropos and Clotho continued to carry on his work, while Lachesis has now defected to the Alchemist Academy.
With the sisters' deaths, this group has ceased to exist.
History[]
The Three Dark Sisters were created by Glion and each were modeled after a human. According to Atropos herself, the trio was created by Glion through the same method of Malice Doll, which makes them the younger sisters of the dolls.
Ten years ago, when Glion enacted the rebellion to open the Door of Darkness, the three sisters were present as the leading party before Glion dropped his facade. After the incident was prevented by Fuga Kudo. The trio acted independently to search for Fuga Kudo to eliminate him and obtain both the Chemies and Gotchardriver, but with the Chemies being released and scattered among the world and the driver had been stolen by Houtaro Ichinose, the trio was forced to convert Chemies into Malgams by choosing people with malice or themselves if needed, but their plans are often interrupted by Gotchard and Supana, who transformed into Valvarad.
The Trio later enhanced their plan by utilizing Shiori Harima to steal the blank Chemy Cards to create Repli-Chemy Cards, and seal UFO-X in the process to create the Dreadriver, though the Chemy has escapes, the driver is completed and they pick Sabimaru Tsuruhara as the first user for an experiment to defeat Gotchard and Valvarad. Despite the plan's downfall with the rise of Super Gotchard, they continued waited for the return of their Master.
With the return of Glion, who utilizes the bad memories of Minato, the Three Dark Sisters replaced the expelled students to become the new students of Alchemist Academy who are in charge of collecting Chemies, giving them to Glion to create Gold Malgams. However, the debut of the new Malgams and Malice Dolls has raised the unfaith of Lachesis, as she thinks she and Clotho has lost the usefulness for Glion and may have chance to be disposed of, she escaped from Academy with Minato, while completely defecting from Glion's side when Atropos come to execute them, only having them being saved by Valvarad. Lachesis later returned the favor to send Minato into the Ouroboros Realm to support the Kamen Riders to stop the plans of Glion.
After that, Lachesis started to stay with Kyoka Edami, helping her on the research of the alchemy and even assist the members of Alchemist Academy to fight against the Hundred. While Atropos and Clotho have started to serve the Dark Kings, however after realizing Glion was being consumed by Germain, Atropos rebels from the Kings to revive Glion, returning to his side.
However, when Glion completely reveals he never had no actual love towards the trio, Atropos sacrificed her own life to protect Rinne, allowing Rinne to become Twilight Majade. Lachesis and Clotho were also killed by Glion not long afterwards, with Lachesis dying from a sneak attack reminiscent of her death in the Daybreak timeline after Gigist died fighting Supana Kurogane as Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane, while Clotho succumbed to her wounds fighting Glion alone, as well as the backlash from using Kamen Rider Dread Type Three. Thus, the Three Dark Sisters no longer exists, and are together again in death.

Notes[]
- Their names draw inspiration from the Moirai, often known in English as the Fates, who were the three sisters that personify destiny in Greek mythology.
- Their Ancient Egyptian-themed clothing alludes to the fact that Greek-controlled Egypt was the birthplace of alchemy in real life.
- They are the first Reiwa villain executives to adopt temporary "monster of the week" forms rather than having their own unique kaijin forms at the beginning of the series.
