Synopsis[]

The battle between Aruto Hiden and Horobi sparks a war between humanity and Humagears! Nevertheless, the conclusion that was reached resulted in Aruto having no choice but to directly fight against Horobi! Horobi, who has now also obtained the power of the Ark, transforms into a new Rider in order to defeat Aruto! This new Rider is now on the same level as Ark-One himself!

Plot[]

The war between humanity and Humagears rages on. Ark-One and Ark Scorpion begin their decisive battle. Riots emerge in the streets between human civilians and Humagears who have gone rogue. Above all, As watches as everything unfolds according to her plan, as the chain of malice continues to spread. She oversees a collection of blank Ark Progrisekeys, remarking that the Ark will soon revive once again, bringing about the end of the world.

Horobi and Aruto continue their battle, using the weapons strewn over the battlefield to unleash successive bursts of fierce attacks one after another. Horobi reaffirms his belief that humanity is selfish and malicious by nature, to which Aruto suggests that he may very well be right. In the Thouser Department office of ZAIA Japan, Isamu and Gai closely watch the battle while Yua swiftly works on restoring the AI-consciousness of the late Jin in an attempt to stop Horobi. Chaos ensues at Hiden Intelligence headquarters, though Vice-President Fukuzoe takes a stand to stay behind, maintaining faith in his young president and his employees.

The battle between the two Ark-influenced Riders shifts as they burst through a hole in the carpark roof to a lower floor. In the midst of the battle, Aruto suddenly throws his weapon aside, much to the bewilderment of Horobi, as well as the trio watching from underground. As believes that the battle is nearing its end with Horobi to be the victor, though a voice rings out from behind her, telling her that she doesn't quite get it. It is Jin, whose consciousness has been successfully restored, and is speaking to her by entering her network. Jin explains that this is not Ark's conclusion but that of Aruto, who wants Horobi to defeat him as he believes Horobi is the only one who can stop his malicious heart.

Aruto takes on the full force of Horobi's Hatred Impact, knocking himself out of his transformation and resulting in the destruction of the Ark Driver. Yua realizes that Aruto may be putting his life on the line in order to teach Horobi what it means to have a heart. Horobi asks why has Aruto stopped fighting, as the latter recalls his conversation with his father within There the night before the battle. Soreo remarks at how his son has grown, being only able to cry back when he was a child, but now being able to express his fury due to growing stronger as a Kamen Rider. However, Soreo reminds Aruto that true strength does not come from power, but instead lies within the heart. As he vanishes, he leaves behind with his son a brand new Hiden Zero-One Driver.

Aruto finally understands what he must do. He says to Horobi that no one would not be sad over the loss of a family member. Horobi, struck by the thought of family, lashes out at Aruto for destroying Jin, his only family. He punches Aruto repeatedly, only stopping when he sees Is' burnt ribbon fall out of Aruto's pocket. Aruto, grabbing Is' ribbon and showing it out to Horobi, shouts to him that he of all people should know by now, the anger and anguish from losing one's family. Horobi then recalls Aruto losing his father during the Daybreak Town Accident, as well as his own actions of killing Is right in front of Aruto. Horobi collapses under the sheer realization that he was the one who took away Aruto's family, and that Jin's death was ultimately his own fault. He finally admits that he was scared of his own heart growing within him, and how he had failed to understand him. When Aruto tries to comfort him, he lashes out again, expressing his hatred towards humanity for giving him all of these emotions he couldn't understand. Aruto, recalling his father's words again, expresses his confidence that Horobi will be able to overcome his grief, as both of them have the strength to do so as fellow Kamen Riders. Aruto's willpower causes his Rising Hopper Progrisekey to power up into Realize Version.

Out of catharsis, Horobi decides to transform again while Aruto transforms into Zero-One's new form, Realizing Hopper. Horobi expresses his deep hatred for Aruto, yet he admits that neither Aruto nor the rest of humanity should be the ones destroyed. Aruto manages to overpower Horobi with his new form. Before he strikes the final blow, an apparition of Is walks up to him. Aruto, guilt-ridden from her death, initially does not dare to look at her face, before finally steeling himself to look up and see her smile. Aruto regains his resolve and continues to finish off the battle with a Realizing Impact. As Aruto is about to land the final kick, Horobi stands up and lets go of his fists, bracing himself for the attack. The Zetsumetsu Driver is destroyed, with Horobi taking heavy damage. Horobi, realizing he is still alive, asks why did Aruto not just kill him then and there, to which Aruto replies that there's no need for any more killing. Horobi lets out a tearful smile as he finally breaks free from his grief and accepts his defeat. On the other side, Aruto smiles to himself as well, holding Is' ribbon in his hands and looks up at the sky as the battle reaches its end.

The next morning, Hiden Intelligence holds a press conference and announces the launch of a new satellite to replace There. In his office, Aruto holds out Is' Progrisekey. Though the data cannot be read anymore, he promises to pursue their shared dream in her memory. Gai continues his work in the Thouser Department with his robot dog Thouser, along with four other brand new dogs. Yua introduces Naki to A.I.M.S. as their new technical advisor. Isamu is seen rescuing a woman stuck in a car crash (Lexus GS). At a building rooftop, a rebuilt Horobi heralds the rebirth of MetsubouJinrai.net, with their new mission to watch over the world's malice to prevent the birth of another Ark. Jin walks over to him, pledging his support and acknowledging Horobi as his father once again, prompting Horobi to smile. At night, a mysterious man is approached by As who hands him a Driver and a Progrisekey. Proclaiming his desired conclusion to destroy the world and rebuild it into a paradise, he transforms into Kamen Rider Eden.

Back at Hiden's lab, Aruto reveals and activates a newly-built version of Is in front of Fukuzoe, Yamashita, and Shesta, though she is lacking the identity and memories of the original. Despite that, Aruto promises to teach the new Is everything about their memories, including his gags and jokes as well. Entering the satellite's simulation to begin their learning, Aruto starts off one of his jokes, prompting Is to explain it much like the old one did, much to Aruto's nostalgia. He then slowly teaches her his signature pose and catchphrase, whilst remarking that they have a lot of work to do from now on.

  • This is the first time since Kamen Rider Gaim's finale to not contain any links to the next series.
  • This is the second series finale to end in a cliffhanger that will resolve in a movie, after Decade's final episode, which led into Movie War 2010, though Zero-One's ending was more conclusive than Decade's total cliffhanger ending.
    • Ex-Aid's finale does not count as a cliffhanger ending due to the episode not tying directly to a film, taking place after the TV show ending, but a different episode serving as the movie's tie-in.
  • The name of this episode is a reference to the show's theme song REAL×EYEZ. One line in the chorus of the song goes "You wanna REAL×EYEZ that there's a brighter future", which this episode references.
    • Zero One Realizing Hopper is also a reference to the show's theme song.
  • This is the first time since Kamen Rider Blade's finale where the final villain of the series survives the final battle.
    • This does not count Ex-Aid's, Build's, and Zi-O's finales whereas their final villains were resurrected post-series.
    • Similarly, Horobi and Hajime were given a second chance in life, being fully redeemed, and were allowed to blend in with human society.
  • Like Kamen Rider Kuuga as the first Kamen Rider of the Heisei Era, both the titular Rider and their own final villain have their belts destroyed : N Daguva Zeba's belt being destroyed by Yusuke Godai while Arcle is destroyed soon after; Horobi destroying Aruto Hiden's Ark Driver while his Zetsumetsu Driver is destroyed soon after.
    • The only difference is that the battle between Horobi and Aruto finished when the latter destroyed the Zetsumetsu Driver, while Yusuke and Daguva continued to fight to the death even in their human form.
  • This episode features the return of Is and Jin since their destruction in episodes 42 and 43 respectively.
  • This episode features the creation of a second Zero-One Driver and Thousandriver.
  • This episode features the destruction of the Ark Driver-One and Zetsumetsu Driver along with their respective Progrisekeys.
