The Trap of Project Build (プロジェクトビルドの罠, Purojekuto Birudo No Wana) is the ninth episode of Kamen Rider Build. It features the debut of Build's LionCleaner Form and the Lock Fullbottle. It also gives a sneak peek at Build’s SmaphoWolf Form.
Synopsis
The secret data entrusted by Takumi Katsuragi revealed the contents of a file known as “PROJECT BUILD”. Katsuragi’s picture was within it, including his own research data on the system operations of the Build Driver. But why was Katsuragi, the founder of Faust, creating the Build system? There is an intense conflict developing between Sento and Ryuga, over if Build’s existence can be considered as “justice” or as a “weapon”…

- As of this episode, Sento reveals the Hazard Level that is required for Build Driver transformation to be 3. According to Blood Stalk, Ryuga's current Hazard Level is 2.7, which reveals the reason as to why he was unable to transform before.
- Some of Takumi Katsuragi's lines and gestures in his video match those of the Kamen Rider Build who appeared in Ex-Aid's episode The Last Smile. It was later revealed that Takumi was the original Build and was the person who encountered Genm.
- After Nariaki told Sento he and his co-workers will be working through the night to deliver data on the Pandora Box the three Prime Ministers, Sento referred to Nariaki's cold attitude as being like a "cyborg".
