Daybreak The Sun (デイブレイクザ・サン, Deibureiku Za San) is a Cosmic Chemy based on the Sun and one of Houtaro Ichinose's main allies. It is a version of The Sun from an alternate future.
History[]
The Sun followed a similar history like its main timeline counterpart. Before her death, Rinne Kudo transferred her consciousness into The Sun, which later evolved into its Daybreak state alongside the other 99 Chemies and the Gotchardriver.
The Future Daybreak[]
For the next 20 years, Rinne (now as Daybreak The Sun) continued to fight alongside Future Houtaro and attempted to communicate with him, only for Future Houtaro to ignore her, believing that he was haunted by her spirit. During the fight against Kamen Rider Dorado, her voice finally reached Houtaro after he regained his resolve to "Gotcha" a brighter future, she explained that her final words were not a curse but her wish to truly continue to fight alongside him. Together with the younger Houtaro and Rinne from the past, they defeat Dorado, who was later revealed to be a doll created by the Dark King.
Rinne, along with the Chemies from both timelines, grants both versions of Houtaro the power to become Miracle Gotchard and Shining Daybreak, respectively. The two alongside Majade use this power to defeat the Dark King, who survives and travels to the past before the name "Kamen Rider" existed and begin his conquest again.

Daybreak The Sun and Gotchard Daybreak would travel to the past using Daybreak Timelord to pursue the Dark King. In what would become history as depicted in "The Great Path of Alchemy" picture book, Rinne's light as Daybreak The Sun Chemy would be the light that enveloped darkness and ultimately vanquished the Dark King.

Due to the Chemy now housing Rinne's consciousness, Daybreak The Sun has Rinne's bravery and determination. Even when Future Houtaro lost hope for a brighter future, she continued to believe that they can reach a brighter future.

- Future Houtaro/Kamen Rider Gotchard Daybreak: After transferring her consciousness into Daybreak The Sun, she continued to fight alongside her Houtaro and made attempts to speak to him only to be ignored. When Future Houtaro regained his "Gotcha" she explained to him that her final words were not a curse but her promise to continue to fight alongside him. Future Houtaro promised to continue to fight together with her.

Unlike the original version, Daybreak The Sun is voiced by Reiyo Matsumoto (松本 麗世, Matsumoto Reiyo) due to housing Rinne Kudo's consciousness.
Etymology[]
- The name is taken directly from "The Sun", the star at the center of the Solar System.
