Taiko Katono (上遠野 太洸, Kotono Taiko) is a Japanese actor and model who portrayed Chase.[1]. He was previously affiliated with Evergreen Entertainment before becoming a freelancer. He reprised his role as Chase in Kamen Rider Zi-O, Episode 47.
Bio
Katono was originally going to become a teacher, but his mother submitted him into the Junon Superboy Contest, which he won the 23rd Junon Superboy Contest in 2010.
Personal life
- Katono auditioned for the role of Akira Nijino
in Ressha Sentai ToQger, but eventually lost the role to Shin Nagahama. Even before this particular audition, he had tried out for several Sentai and Kamen Rider productions before he was finally cast as Chase. Producer Takahito Omori stated that he cast Katono due to his ability to retain sex appeal while showing almost no emotion.
