Syuichiro Naito (内藤 秀一郎, Naitō Shūichirō) is a Japanese actor and model who portrays Touma Kamiyama/Kamen Rider Saber in Kamen Rider Saber.
Biography[]
Naito became interested in showbiz after winning his high school's beauty contest three years in a row. As such, he moved out to Tokyo in order to pursue acting. In 2015, he debuted as a model for magazine called FLASH TOKYO.
In 2018, Naito made his first drama appearance in the film Hoshikuzu Revengers alongside co-stars Rina Ikoma and Ruka Matsuda, which he later reprised in its television spin-off. Since then, Naito he has made appearances in several films and television dramas. In 2020, he landed his first lead role of Touma Kamiyama in Kamen Rider Saber.
Post Kamen Rider[]
After the end of Saber, Naito reunited with co-star Asuka Kawazu in the medical-drama Watashi ni wa Ashita ga Aru. They both had also starred in the lead-roles in the music video for the song "Hazuki" by saji.[1]
In 2022, Naito starred in the drama Senpai, This Can't be Love! alongside Toshiki Seto. Both actors acknowledged their previous roles as Kamen Riders Saber and Brave respectively.[2]
Personal Life[]
- Naito watched Kamen Rider Kuuga as a child. He became a fan of Kamen Rider Ryuki after receiving a DX V-Buckle, citing his favorite Rider to be Kamen Rider Knight. [3] Naito also stated that he likes Kamen Rider Den-O as well, and took a commemorative photo with the Taros after filming on Super Hero Senki had wrapped.[4][5]

Naito on the set of REAL×TIME
- Despite not appearing in Kamen Rider Zero-One: REAL×TIME due to COVID-19 restrictions, Naito visited the film's set to congratulate Fumiya Takahashi after filming had wrapped.
- Naito has written most of Touma's novels himself on the request of the producers to make Touma a unique character not particularly inspired by any historical writer.
- Naito attended press junkets for Saber: Trio of Deep Sin with blonde hair due to him having starred in What If There Were A High School For Ikemen Only shortly after filming for Saber had wrapped.
