Spirits That Manipulate Darkness (暗闇を操る魂, Kurayami o Ayatsuru Tamashii) is the eighteenth episode of Kamen Rider Blade. It features the debut of Go Kiryu as Kamen Rider Leangle.

Synopsis[]

While fighting Blade, Leangle unseals three more of Blade's cards. Leangle suddenly reverts back to Mutsuki, who was unaware of what he was doing, and Kazuma takes his belt away. Sakuya meets up with Go and sees what a cruel person he's become. The belt finds its way back to Mutsuki and he falls even more under the Spider Undead's control. Mutsuki tries to throw the belt away but it returns to him and transforms into Leangle. The Boar, Deer, Locust, and Jaguar Undead show up and Leangle, Blade and Chalice go to fight them. While fighting with Blade, Leangle is defeated and Go picks up the belt.

Meme[]

  • A scene of the convenience store's old female worker alerting a robbery by calling Mutsuki to catch him has become a subject for the Ondul language, given the lady's near-unintelligible line "追っかけてん 睦月" (, Okkaketen Mutsuki, Go get him, Mutsuki!), which sounds like "オッペケテンムッキー!" (, Oppeketen Mukkī!). This line usually appears in Niconico streaming sites where videos of chase scenes would occur, causing the audience to quote the meme. It was also through this meme that Mutsuki gains the nickname Mukki (ムッキー, Mukkī), a fact that is acknowledged by his actor, Takahiro Hojo,[1] who also at times visiting the store's real life location (Mami Mart in Matsukazedai, Higashimatsuyama, Saitama) and/or reenacting the chase scene.[2][3][4]
