The Spider Phone (スパイダーフォン, Supaidā Fon) is a smartphone given to participants of the Desire Grand Prix.

Overview[]

After joining the Desire Grand Prix, a player is given a Spider Phone alongside their already received Desire Driver and Rider Core ID. The Spider Phone additionally notifies any player of an incoming game with the "Gather Round" message, and can also be used to contact the Game Master if necessary.[Encounter II: Zombie Hunting][Conspiracy III: Slot★Fever]During the competition, players can use to check the rankings and scores.

Whenever a player clears a Secret Mission, the Spider Phone will notify the player (as well as other surrounding players even if they weren't the one who completed the Secret Mission) via announcing "Secret Mission Clear", displaying the task the player performed. [Divergence I: Welcome! To the New Season!] In some scenarios, the Spider Phone will convert from Phone Mode to Spider Mode (and vise versa) to retrieve items for the player (i.e. Mission Boxes).[Encounter F: Wake up! Monster]

Additionally, the Spider Phone also has additional features, such as summoning a number of Kasou Jyamato in the Desire Temple's Training Rooms, as well as playing music.[Encounter IV: Duo Concentration]Besides, it can also acts as a camera and transmit the footage to the Audience Room. Upon Chirami's takeover as the new Game Master, he updated the Spider Phones to allow players to vote and speculate on who the Desastar is, and any player can vote during the voting interim period or the end of the game.

If a player has a supporter, they can use the Spider Phone to teleport into their audience area.

Design[]

The Spider Phone is composed of the following parts:

  • Individualizer (インディビデュアライザー, Indibijuaraizā): The authentication device. Only the person linked to the ID Core is granted permission.
  • SPP Web Display (SPPウェブディスプレイ, SPP Webu Disupurei): The display. Special applications that are not available for download on regular smartphones can be launched. This provides access to other participants' scores, results, and other information related to the Desire Grand Prix.
