Sohei Gamma (Ani) (僧兵眼魔 (兄) lit.Priest Soldier Eye Devil (Older Brother)) is the older of the Sohei Gamma duo who achieved evolution through yet-to-be revealed objects.

History[]
He took control of Katsumi Sasahara, drawing in Takeru, Akari, and Onari with a paranormal investigation request. She swiped the Ikkyu Eyecon Takeru had recently acquired, but Makoto quickly stole it back for them. After a battle where he displayed his riddle attack, damaging an opponent with insufficient wit, the Gamma used Katsumi as a hostage (with her threatening him, much to everyone's confusion) to ransom for the Eyecon, retreating.
When Takeru and Makoto arrived at his hideout, he fought Takeru, who was now able to use the Ikkyu Eyecon, his new wit easily letting him best the Gamma's riddles. Makoto briefly entered the battle to hit the Gamma with an Omega Drive from Pythagoras Damashii, before letting Takeru finish him off with one of two Ikkyu Omega Drives (decided by the viewer of the Hyper Battle DVD). Gamma Eyecon
The Gamma are created from the Gamma Eyecons (ガンマアイコン, Ganma Aikon), and one was merged with a yet-to-be revealed object to create the Sohei Gamma.
Gamma Assault
The Gamma Assault (眼魔アサルト, Ganma Asaruto, lit. "Eye Devil Assault") are Gamma born from the Gamma Eyecon. They first appear in Primal Body (素体, Moto-tai). Gamma Assaults do not possess unique abilities of their own, but can gain powers of their own through being infused with an object around them.

Sohei Gamma
Through bonding with a yet-to-be revealed object, the originally generic Ganma evolved into the Empowered Gamma (強化眼魔, Kyōka Ganma, lit."Empowered Eye Devil") known as Sohei.
- Powers and Abilities
- Intangibility
- A Gamma's primary ability is to turn themselves invisible and intangible to the public. Those wielding an Eyecon are capable of seeing them.
- Eyecon/Parka Infusion
- Gamma Assaults can infuse themselves with Ghost Eyecons or at the very least, their Parka Ghosts to become Giant Gamma.
- Riddle Attack
- The Gamma halts the battle and asks his opponent a pun-based riddle. If they don't answer correctly in time, an explosion knocks them back.
