Slam-Bang... Kukikaidan!? (ドッタンバッタン…空気階段!?, Dottanbattan… Kūki Kaidan!?) is the twenty-second episode of Kamen Rider Revice. It features the debut of the Rolling Vistamp and Kamen Rider Jack Revice. The Neo Batta Vistamp and its associated Genome also make their only televised debut since their appearance in Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations.

Synopsis[]

Everyone is thinking about the condition of Hiromi's body and coping with their feelings of sadness. Still, time doesn't stop and the day goes on. Ikki also tries to move on through his hard work at Happy Spa, but he just can't seem to reconcile his feelings! Just then, a new request comes in with Masashi Nishikawa, the president of the entertainment industry, and Mayu Tominaga, a manager. Recently, a popular comedian and entertainer group known as "Kuuki Kaidan" (Stairs of Air) have been the targets of a Deadman attack, leaving most of their set damaged and the recording of their program having been canceled! As such, Ikki and Vice decide to form their own "Happy Spa" comedy duo and embark on an undercover investigation acting as bodyguards for the Stairs of Air. But exactly who is targeting this particular group?!

Errors[]

Callbacks to Past Kamen Rider Series[]

  • Kamen Rider Zero-One:
    • The theme of the episode features comedians, Aruto Hiden's occupation before he became CEO of Hiden Intelligence. Interestingly, this episode also features a CEO of the entertainment company that employees said comedians.
    • The man who judged Ikki and Vice's audition wears a blazer jacket over a red sweatshirt hoodie, a similar outfit worn by Aruto.
    • Revi and Vice access Neo Batta Genome, which is based on Zero-One. Both Revi and Zero-One were both primarily suit-acted by Yuya Nawata.
    • Prior to his transformation into his Neo Batta Genome, Vice points his finger at the enemy, similar to how Aruto points his finger at his audience during his catchphrase "Now, that was a work of Aruto!" (”はい、アルトじゃないと!”). After transformation, Vice alters the catchphrase, announcing "Yep, that was Vice!" (”やっぱ バイスじゃ~ないと!”) instead.
    • Revice's Neo Batta Stamping Finish containing a caption is similar to how the Zero-One finishers have a caption announcing the finisher name. Revice's caption is also stylized in the same font for Vice's countdown.

  • The previous episode marked Komatsu's temporary departure from Kamen Rider Revice, as he left to participate in other activities such as additional stage performances.[3] As such, the opening sequence for this episode removes his likeness and crediting.
  • The opening theme sequence has been updated to include an additional shot of Hideo Akaishi, and replaces the Deadmans with Weekend, who had officially debuted in the previous episode.
  • The events of Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations are acknowledged in this episode through a flashback of the older George creating the Neo Batta Vistamp.
  • Daiji, Kagero, and Sakura do not transform into this episode, however the opening sequence has been updated to include Live, Evil, and Jeanne respectively.
  • This episode marks the debut of Eitoku's suit-acting as the sole main Rider. Humorously, Eitoku had previously portrayed a fictitious version of himself in a Super Hero Taihen episodeIcon-crosswiki where his character had murdered three characters suit-acted by Seiji Takaiwa with the motive of no longer wanting to be "second" anymore. Interestingly, the idea of Jack Revice seems to mirror that sentiment greatly, with Vice currently in full control.
  • Kuuki Kaidan, a real comedy duo, portray themselves in this episode.
