Shunya Shiraishi (白石 隼也, Shiraishi Shunya) is a Japanese actor who portrayed Haruto Soma/Kamen Rider Wizard in Kamen Rider Wizard.
Biography[]
Shiraishi won runner-up at the 20th Junon Superboy Contest and made his acting debut in 2008. In 2012, he was cast as Haruto in Kamen Rider Wizard.
Post Kamen Rider[]
Shiraishi stared in Good Morning Call, a romance-drama playing the main male lead, Hisashi Uehara, alongside Den-O star Dori Sakurada. In 2017, he portrayed Nishiki Nishio in a live-action adaptation of the popular manga series, Tokyo Ghoul, alongside Fourze-star Fumika Shimizu.
Personal Life[]
- Shiraishi is very capable of switching emotions for his acting. While filming Kamen Rider Wizard, he did so ignoring the preconceptions that it was a Kamen Rider series and a Tokusatsu television show. After filming had ended, he bought Wizard merchandise for his parents. To this day, Shiraishi often thinks back on his experiences shooting Wizard, which he attributes to have been a huge part of his life.[1]
