Shozo Irabu (伊良部 正造, Irabu Shōzō) is a former field captain of NOAH and a close friend of the Igarashi family.
History[]
Background[]
Irabu assists Junpei and Yukimi.
Shozo Irabu was an undercover resistance member against the government organization, NOAH. He was under the position as an armed forces captain monitoring Junpei Shiranami, who fought day and night as Kamen Rider Vail. Gradually, he displayed shame towards his treatment on Junpei due to the severity of the experiments. When Junpei briefly deserted the organization, Irabu tracked him down and apprehended Junpei, along with Yukimi Igarashi.
When Junpei was ordered to be disposed, Irabu broke his cover and rescued him and Yukimi instead. However, he became witness to Vail's possession of Junpei, forcing Masumi Karizaki to seal the demon inside the Demons Driver. Irabu later escorted Junpei and Yukimi as the NOAH's headquarters collapsed. In the aftermath, Irabu remained close with the Igarashi couple after Junpei became "Genta Igarashi". Since then, he has been an ordinary customer of Happy Spa, affectionally referred as "Mr. Bu".
The Deadmans Crisis[]

Irabu attended Daiji's appointment ceremony at Fenix with the Igarashis, where the event gets attacked by the Deadmans. While the Giff Junior started to attack people, Irabu and the Ushijimas hid behind to witness Ikki Igarashi's first transformation into a Kamen Rider.
Ever since Ikki signed a contract with Fenix and decided to act as a full-time Kamen Rider, it became clear Irabu has advanced investigative abilities like a detective, using information gathering ability that Ikki does not have. While Ikki was impressed with his research capabilities, Irabu often refuses to disclose his actual occupation and avoids answering what he does for a living.
Resurgence of Vail[]
After Genta was forcibly transformed into Kamen Rider Vail, Irabu arrived to take an unconscious Genta away, much to the surprise to the Igarashi siblings. The next day, Irabu met with Ikki at Happy Spa and disclosed to him about his and Genta's past with NOAH. He expressed his speculation that those who survived NOAH's dismantlement had formed the Deadmans to further defile Giff's casket.
Personality[]
At first glance, one would think Irabu was a jokester with a heart of gold. He is friendly to the Igarashi family and even aids them should they need his assistance with anything.
When it comes down to it though, he does take his job seriously, which he refuses to tell anyone what it is he actually does as it is a well-kept secret. Eventually he reveals everything to Ikki and the children of Genta's past as Junpei Shiranami.
Relationships[]
- Genta/Kamen Rider Vail/Kamen Rider Destream: Irabu has known Genta for quite a while before the series began, even before Genta reopened the Happy Spa business he started with his wife. Irabu is a regular customer, but not because of the service, but for keeping an eye on Genta should something occur. During Vail's return, it's revealed that he knew about Genta's situation and told his kids not to worry about him.
- Yukimi Igarashi: Irabu had known Genta's wife a long time when they were young and being chased by NOAH.
- Masumi Karizaki: Irabu and Masumi had a history together back then when NOAH was around.

- Shozo Irabu is portrayed by Yutaka Saigoh (西郷 豊, Saigō Yutaka). In his youth as seen in Revice Legacy: Kamen Rider Vail, he is portrayed by Yuki Torigoe (鳥越 裕貴, Torigoe Yūki)
