Shin Kurihara (栗原晋, Kurihara Shin) was an explorer and photographer who died as a result of a battle between the Undead. He was the father of Amane Kurihara and the wife of Haruka Kurihara, and took on Rei Kamioka under his tutelage.
History[]
Kurihara's last moments.
Prior to the events of the series, Kurihara was out photographing in the snowy forests of Mount Tanigawa when he witnessed a battle between the Giraffa Undead and Hajime Aikawa/Kamen Rider Chalice. Kurihara was fatally wounded by one of the swords of the Giraffa Undead. In his last moments, with Hajime standing over him, Kurihara handed over a photograph of his family to Hajime, telling him to look after them. Hajime, who was struck with curiosity over Kurihara's selflessness, decided to meet his family in order to learn more about humanity.
Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace[]
It is revealed by Sakuya Tachibana that Kurihara was the one who had approached the stone slab housing Jashin 14 and evoked it prior to his death. As a result, his daughter becomes the target of the Albino Joker, who wishes to use her as a sacrifice to reawaken the ancient entity.
