The Transformation Belt Sclash Driver (変身ベルト スクラッシュドライバー, Henshin Beruto Sukurasshu Doraibā) is the transformation belt used by Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge, Kamen Rider Grease and Kamen Rider Rogue.
Overview
Takumi Katsuragi began developing the Sclash Driver during Project Build, describing it as the culmination of the program and his masterpiece. However, it was left unfinished. It uses Sclashjellies, which were developed as an evolution of Fullbottles. The Sclash Driver provides significantly more power that the Build Driver's standard specifications. However, the user is susceptible to developing symptoms similar to those from being exposed to the light of the Pandora Box. They will become more aggressive and warlike each time they transform, causing them to seek out fighting. Additionally, in order to produce this effect and draw out the user's fighting spirit, the Sclash Driver causes their body to produce excess adrenaline, inflicting significant physical stress. This severity of all of these side effect differs from person to person, and can be overcome. Banjo was impacted much more heavily than Kazumi until he mastered using the Sclash Driver, while Rogue was never shown becoming more agressive.
A minimum Hazard Level of 4.0 is required to use Sclash Driver, otherwise the user will be unable to transform and will suffer from significant pain.[The Forbidden Item]. Even if someone has the required Hazard Level, they will not be able to transform if they do not possess a strong will. Those who are successful will also experience pain the first few few times they transform, though this will disappear over time.
Sento Kiryu accesses Projects Build's files on the Sclash Driver in Episode 15 using the keyword "sclash" and completes the design. Before he begins building it, however, Evolto copies the schematics from his computer while he and Banjo are away. He hands them over to Namba Heavy Industries Ltd., allowing Nariaki Utsumi to create a Sclash Driver slightly before Sento.
Components
The Sclash Driver is composed of the following parts:
- Activator Wrench (アクティベイトレンチ, Akutibeito Renchi): An action lever used when transforming or activating finishing moves. By pressing down on the wrench, the press mechanism of the Power Press Slot is activated, and the ingredients of the Sclashjelly or Fullbottle loaded into the slot are absorbed into the Driver.
- Power Press Slot (パワープレスロット, Pawā Puresurotto): The slot for Sclashjellies used when transforming or activating finishing moves. The press mechanism linked to the Activate Trench crushes the Sclashjelly, and the gel-like Transgel Solid inside is absorbed into the Driver. It is also possible to absorb the ingredients of loaded Fullbottle and use them in special attacks.
- Jelly Tank (ゼリータンク, Zerī Tanku): An ingredient conversion device. It is responsible for converting the ingredients of the Sclashjellies and Fullbottles taken into the Driver into liquefied equipment called Variable Jelly (ヴァリアブルゼリー , Variaburu Zerī'), which reacts to a special pulse emitted by the Driver and instantly transforms into a suit or weapon.
- Jelly Tank Cap (ゼリータンクキャップ, Zerī Tanku Kyappu): A Variable Jelly ejection device. It ejects the liquefied Variable Jelly from the Jelly Tank onto the user and emits a special pulse to transform it into a suit or weapon.
- React Dynamo (リアクトダイナモ, Riakuto Dainamo): An energy generation unit built into the Sclash Driver. When the Driver is attached to the user, it operates at high speed and generates the energy needed to transform and activate finishing moves.
- Adjust Bind (アジャストバインド, Ajasuto Baindo): The belt part of the Build Driver. It is usually stored inside the driver, and when transforming, it automatically wraps around the wearer's waist. The length of the belt is adjusted to fit the wearer's body type and clothing.
- Qualifizer (クオリファイザー, Kuorifaizā): A type of safety device built into the rear of the Adjust Bind. By scanning the wearer's body data, it automatically determines whether the wearer is compatible with the system, and if so, allows the transformation function to operate normally.
Functionality
To transform with the Sclash Driver, the user inserts a Sclashjelly into the Power Press Slot and presses down the Activator Wrench to squeeze the item. This surrounds the user with the Chemica Ride Builder (ケミカライドビルダー, Kemika Raido Birudā), which fills with liquid that forms the Rider's suit. Variable Jelly then spews out of the top of the Rider's head, forming the clear armor on their head and chest and completing the transformation. The transformation is the same for Rogue, except mechanical jaws resembling those of a crocodile crush the Chemica Ride Builder to form the suit before the Self Face Crusher crushes the head to reveal the eyes.
The Activator Wrench is pressed down again to activate a finisher, either with the transformation item or after inserting any normal Fullbottle. Using a Biotic Fullbottle will activate a Charge Crush (チャージクラッシュ, Chāji Kurasshu) finisher, while using an Abiotic Fullbottle will activate a Discharge Crush (ディスチャージクラッシュ, Disuchāji Kurasshu) finisher.
Grease's standard finisher is the Scrap Finish (スクラップフィニッシュ, Sukurappu Finisshu), which has five variations:
- Grease generates Variable Jelly from his Machine Pack Shoulder, propelling himself forward so that he can deliver a flying kick covered in gold energy.
- Grease forms a Variable Jelly construct of the Demolition One around his arm and uses it to punch the enemy.
- Grease propels himself into the air with Variable Jelly from the Machine Pack Shoulder and delivers a spinning heel kick covered in gold energy.
- Grease performs spinning roundhouse kick covered in gold energy.
- Grease generates Variable Jelly on his right leg and delivers a flying kick covered in gold energy.
Charge Crush (チャージクラッシュ, Chāji Kurasshu):
- Kuma Fullbottle: Grease creates two Variable Jelly constructs of bear claws and crushes the enemy between them.
Discharge Crush (ディスチャージクラッシュ, Disuchāji Kurasshu):
- Helicopter Fullbottle: Grease creates a Variable Jelly construct of a helicopter rotor and uses it to fly away
- Keshigomu Fullbottle: Grease creates a large Variable Jelly construct of a large eraser that erases him and any of his allies, allowing them to flee.
- Lock Fullbottle: Grease restrains the enemy with a chain before performing an uppercut that creates a construct of the Bind Master Key upon impact.
- Castle Fullbottle: Grease summons the Castle Hard Smash's Ground Rampart in front of him to block an enemy's attack.
Cross-Z Charge's standard finisher is the Scrap Break (スクラップブレイク, Sukurappu Bureiku), which has two variations:
- Cross-Z Charge leaps into the air and performs a roundhouse kick covered in orange and light blue energy.
- Cross-Z Charge delivers a punch covered in orange and light blue energy.
Rogue's standard finisher is the Crack Up Finish (クラックアップフィニッシュ, Kurakku Appu Finisshu), which has nine variations:
- Rogue running towards his enemy, jumps into air and generates a purple energy construct of the Cruncher Fang (クランチャーファング, Kuranchā Fangu) around his back and delivers a scissor kick to the target, crushing the enemy before twisting his body, breaking apart the cruncher fang construct and launching the enemy. [Final Chapter: KAMEN RIDER ROGUE]
- Rogue generates a purple energy construct of the Cruncher Fang around his legs and delivers a scissor kick to the target, crushing the enemy several times before twisting his body, breaking apart the cruncher fang construct and launching the enemy. [The Phantom of the West]
- Rogue covers his fist in purple energy with surrounded by constructs of purple, green, and cyan broken glass before he punches the enemy, creating energy constructs of broken debris upon impact
- Rogue performs an upward somersault kick that leaves a trail of purple and cyan energy.[The Idol Awakens]
- Rogue performs an uppercut covered in purple energy that creates a blue and dark purple shockwave upon impact.
- Rogue performs a side kick that creates a Cruncher Fang construct around his right leg which bites down on the enemy.[Programmed Tragedy]
- Rogue jumps toward the enemy performs a punch covered in purple and cyan energy that creates purple shards upon impact. [Evolto Hunts Planets]
- Rogue performs a flying kick covered in purple energy that creates purple shards upon impact. [Evolto Hunts Planets]
- Rogue generates the Cruncher fang around his legs and crushes the enemy. He then spins with the enemy still trapped, drilling them into the ground before launching them away in an explosion of purple shards. [Kamen Rider Build: Be The One]
Charge Crash (チャージクラッシュ, Chāji Kurasshu):
- Phoenix Fullbottle: Rogue transforms into a phoenix made of fire and rams into the enemy.
Discharge Crush (ディスチャージクラッシュ, Disuchāji Kurasshu):
- Diamond Fullbottle: This attack has three variations:
- Rogue creates a cluster of diamond shards from his fist that fly into the enemy.
- Several large diamonds float around Rogue, allowing him to reflect enemy projectiles back to the attacker.
- Rogue forms a diamond shield in front of him to protect himself from enemy attacks.
Scrap Break/Let's Break (スクラップブレイク/レッツブレイク, Sukurappu Bureiku/Rettsu Bureiku):
- Cross-Z Dragon: Cross-Z Charge is surrounded by blue and orange energy while the same energy spirals around the end of the Twin Breaker before he fires a blue energy dragon into the enemy. Cross-Z then delivers a punch surrounded by red and blue energy.
Scrap Finish/Twin Break (スクラップフィニッシュ/ツインブレイク, Sukurappu Finisshu/Tsuin Bureiku):
- Robot Sclashjelly + Robot Fullbottle: Grease covers himself in golden energy and performs a punch that projects a light gold energy drill to a wall, breaking through it.
Scrap Finish/Twin Finish (スクラップフィニッシュ/ツインフィニッシュ, Sukurappu Finisshu/Tsuin Finisshu):
- Robot Sclashjelly + Robot Fullbottle: Grease's body is surrounded by gold energy before rides toward the on a path of Variable Jelly, propelled by his Machine Pack Shoulder, and delivers a sliding punch to the target that creates a golden energy shockwave upon impact. He then uses the Variable Jelly path to move through the air, shooting the enemy with the Twin Breaker and before launching them into the air with an uppercut. Grease then leaps above the falling enemy and delivers a downward flying kick covered in Variable Jelly, crushing the enemy underneath him into the ground.
Discharge Crash/Twin Break (ディスチャージクラッシュ/ツインブレイク, Disuchāji Kurasshu/Tsuin Bureiku):
- Kuwagata Fullbottle + Fukurou Fullbottle (in Twin Breaker) + Castle Fullbottle (in Sclash Driver): This attack has two variations:
- Grease produces a red, blue, and yellow energy drill from the Twin Breaker and stabs the enemy.
- Grease covers the Twin Breaker in red, blue, and yellow energy and slashes the enemy twice, then propels himself into the air with Variable Jelly from the Machine Pack Shoulder and delivers a spinning heel kick covered in the same energy.
Sparkling Finish + Scrap Break: Build performs a flying kick covered in red, blue, and white bubbles while Cross-Z Charge performs a flying kick surrounded by orange energy and a cyan energy construct of a dragon's head. [The Phantom of the West]
Crack Up Finish + Evoltic Attack: Rogue and MadRogue each perform a roundhouse kick covered in purple energy.
Charge Crash (Same) + Evoltic Attack (Bike): Rogue charges his hand with blue energy while MadRouge charges his hand with red energy before the two Riders form a pool of water in front of them. A blue energy construct of a shark jumps out of the water and bites one of the enemy's projectiles, destroying it. The Machine Builder then jumps out of the water as well and binds the remaining two projectiles to its front tire before ramming into the enemy. [Zero Degree Flames]

| User | Kamen Rider | Episode Obtained | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kazumi Sawatari | Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Final: Build & Ex-Aid with Legend Riders | This Sclash Driver is the first one created by Nariaki Utsumi. It wa given to Kazumi by by Blood Stalk. | |
| Ryuga Banjo | Rider Wars Start | Sento finished this Sclash Driver as well as the Dragon Sclashjelly, but didn't want to use it out of fear that the Sclash Driver will be used as a weapon of warfare. The Driver would later be taken by Ryuga, using it to transform into Cross-Z Charge.
Sento briefly took his Sclash Driver and tried to transform into Cross-Z Charge as well, however because his Hazard Level was not high enough, Sento failed to transform. Ryuga's Sclash Driver and the Dragon Sclashjelly were later destroyed by Evolto in Episode 30. In the New World, Sento created another Sclash Driver offscreen. Ryuga used it in Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever and after he lost in his first fight against Killbus. | |
| Gentoku Himuro | Final Chapter: KAMEN RIDER ROGUE | Utsumi later creates a second Sclash Driver for use by Seito. Blood Stalk chooses Haruhiko Wanibuchi to use it due to him possessing the required Hazard Level of 4, while other candidates who don't have a Hazard Level high enough are imprisoned in the Central Seito Research Institute of Namba Heavy Industries Ltd. However, Haruhiko is unable to transform due to his lack of a strong will, and Gentoku later severely injures him. Gentoku and the other candidates fight to the death to raise their Hazard Levels. The two left are Jiro Kakizawa and Gentoku. Jiro attempts to use the Driver but fails. Gentoku then takes the belt and is able to successfully transform into Kamen Rider Rogue. |

Notes
- Sclash is a portmanteau of "squash" and "clash".
- The first part of the Driver's announcements ties into the medium used: Cross-Z Charge and Grease's, "Tsubureru! Nagareru! Afurederu!" (潰れる!流れる!溢れ出る! lit. "Crushing! Streaming! Flowing out!"), refers to the squeezing of the Sclashjellies, and Rogue's, "Wareru! Kuwareru! Kudake chiru!" (割れる!食われる!砕け散る! lit, "Breaking! Biting! Smashing up!"), refers to the Crocodile Crack Fullbottle being crushed in the Sclash Driver. Regular Fullbottles, when used in the Sclash Driver, announce "Tsuburenai!" (潰れない! lit. "Not crushed!").
- Uniquely, the transformation differs between the Sclashjelly users and Kamen Rider Rogue, with the added elements of a large crocodile head-shaped vice cracking the container in the transformation sequence.
