Sasori Augment-01 (サソリオーグ, Sasori Ōgu, Sasori-Aug) is an Augment and high-ranking executive of Shocker in Shin Kamen Rider.[2]
History
Background
Before becoming a member of SHOCKER, Sasori Augment-01 was a girl named Shiori (詩織) who lived with an abusive father that was violent to her and her mother regularly. Having had enough, they would would leave him behind and would take up residence in a government-assisted household, where they weren't able to find their residence card. Eventually, Shiori's father would find them and her family would fall into chaos again. Her father would abuse her on a daily basis from then on, even tearing apart the teddy bears that her mother gave her, and this abuse would eventually lead to her mother's death (presumably via suicide from drug overdose) and Shiori's trauma causing her psyche to split and give rise to her "Sasori" persona. It was afterwards where she would presumably be found and recruited by Shocker and made into an enhanced human.

After joining the organization as one of its "Cleaners", Shiori, now under the codename of Sasori (サソリ, Sasori), would later be introduced as a teammate to a younger Ichiro Midorikawa along with her partner Kumo. During the team's first lesson together, Sasori would tease Kumo and teach Ichiro obscene words in English, greatly annoying her partner. During a sparring match, Sasori would showcase a rather impressive display of enhanced strength and reflexes thanks to her Augmentation. Along with Kumo, she would help in mentoring the young Ichiro in ways to survive within the organization and would also participate in helping purge the Founding Faction from SHOCKER to both align with K and Ichiro's goals of helping the world find happiness instead of letting the organization profit from selling weapons and dabbling in human trafficking. This incident would lead to the young Ichiro getting injured by a military drone, which later resulted in Ichiro's father augmenting his son with Prana to save his life. Sasori would ask Midorikawa about the cost of using this kind of technology and whether choosing to continue was the right call. She later accompanied Ichiro in combat training in Kumo's stead while the latter was undergoing his Augmentation under the supervision of Dr. Ivan Tawanovitch, praising him for his vast improvement and later on accompanying him to purging another Shocker outpost of the Faust Network's influence. She, as well as Ichiro would be joined by a newly-augmented Kumo in addition to some Low-Class Members. In the midst of a desperate battle where she and Ichiro were struggling against Faust's Guardians, she would throw one at her partner to try and get him to do something. Unfortunately, things would take a turn for the worse when Kumo's loss of humanity would cause him to become more violent, eventually leading him to try and kill Sasori for interfering by severing her arm with one of his extra limbs. After Ichiro was able to get Kumo to calm down after reasoning with him, however, everyone was able to make it safely, and Sasori would have her arm reattached and Augmented as well, allowing it to transform into a more monstrous form at her will.
Shin Kamen Rider
Sasori-Aug would take up residence in an outpost where she and her group had engineered several highly dangerous chemical weapons which she planned to use to start a revolution. She would soon be approached by members of the Anti-Shocker Alliance, and would introduce herself in a flashy manner by kicking off the door of the limousine that she was hiding in before being joined by her Low-Class Members. The Scorpion Augment would then gleefully slaughter several of Tachibana's men in droves as her low-class members provided cover for her with their riot shields, before more reinforcements would arrive and would gun down the sadistic Augment's troops.
Seeing this as a challenge, Sasori-Aug would then face the squadron with confidence, only to be gunned down by the reinforcements. It was later revealed that Ruriko Midorikawa had requested for Tachibana and Taki to neutralize the sadistic Augment, as the prana system was ineffective on Sasori-Aug's venomous chemical weapons. Her toxin was later used by the alliance to create Anti-Augment Bullets which were used by Taki to neutralize Hachi Augment-01.

In comparison to the other Augments shown in the film and the manga, Sasori Augment-01 is the most outgoing and cheerful member of the organization shown so far, even treating the younger Ichiro as a little brother. She is almost always in high spirits and has a habit of putting English words into her speech. She is also sports a shameless and unrestrained sensual side to her personality, having no problem wearing risqué clothing as her usual outfit and teaching Ichiro obscene words in English during their first lesson together as a team. She was also shown to enjoy regularly teasing Kumo, who would usually respond with annoyance. However, her past did haunt her from time to time, as she experienced flashbacks of her traumatic past whenever she saw a teddy bear and had to take pills to control these fits. In combat, Sasori-Aug is a bloodthirsty sadomasochist, taking great pleasure in both causing and receiving pain (Although she showed almost no reaction at all to her arm getting severed) and challenges her foes head-on without blocking and dodging. Unfortunately for her, her overconfidence led to her unexpected demise at the hands of the Anti-Shocker Alliance.

Sasori Augment-01 is a Synthetic Hybrid Augment of a scorpion and a human. She is unique among the other Inhuman Synthetic Hybrid Augments, as most of her body has received basic augmentations to increase her strength, speed and agility to superhuman levels, while her large pincer arm is the result of an experiment where Shocker's scientists modified a part of her body before reattaching it. The scorpion on her half-mask moves in response to her emotions, acting as a means of intimidation or distraction against her victims. Befitting her sadomasochistic nature, Sasori-Aug enjoys the entirety of the battle and challenges her opponents head-on without blocking or dodging.
- Abilities
- Augmented Physiology: As one of SHOCKER's High-Ranking Members, Sasori Augment-01 possessed superhuman strength, agility and durability even before being further Augmented. She was able to tank a plasma torch to her torso without any apparent signs of injury, as well as a point-blank gunshot after being upgraded in the main film. However, her durability is not extended to protecting her from sustained gunfire, which ultimately lead to her demise.
- Scorpion Pincer: Following the loss of her arm in a battle with Kumo Augment-01, Sasori-Aug had her arm reattached and augmented, allowing it to change back and forth between its normal humanoid appearance and a more monstrous one. Her pincer, combined with her augmented strength, would allow her to effortlessly slaughter and mutilate the Anti-Shocker Alliance members who had targeted her.
- Toxin: Sasori Augment-01's group engineers chemical weapons that are dangerous to both humans and Augments. She stores some of her chemical weapons in the stinger of the scorpion present on her mask as well as her pincer, injecting it into her foes to kill them. What makes her venom so dangerous is the fact that the Prana System does not work on it, and would have proved to be fatal to the Kamen Rider if Tachibana's men had not decided to neutralize her on their own. This toxin was later used for the SV1 (Scorpion Virus) bullets which were used to kill Hachi-Aug.
