Sarracenian (サラセニアン, Sarasenian, 4, 13, 27 & Rider vs Shocker) (a.k.a. Sarracenia Human (サラセニア人間, Sarasenia Ningen)) - A sarracenia monster.

A Repaired Sarracenian attacks Kamen Rider 2 to back-up Mukadelas.

Character History

Sarracenian was abducting people from a greenhouse to be tested if they could be turned into shocker cyborgs. When a Shocker Combatman was captured by Takeshi Hongo Sarracenian was sent to execute him, Kamen Rider #1 persuaded him back to his base and defeated him. He was destroyed by Kamen Rider 1's Rider Kick.^{[The Man-Eating Sarracenian]}

He was later resurrected by Shocker as part of the Revived Monster Army before being destroyed by Tokageron's special bomb. ^{[Tokageron and the Large Monster Army]}

In his second return, he served as a weapon instructor to children who had been hypnotized by Shocker and also helped Mukadelas in combat. He faced Hayato Ichimonji, trying to stop him from saving Goro. However, he was destroyed by Kamen Rider 2's Rider Nage. ^{[Mukadelas Monster Classroom]}

He returned yet again in Kamen Rider vs. Shocker, as part of the large monster army. He faced Kamen Riders 1 and 2 together, only to be destroyed by being thrown onto one of his partners for that mission, Torikabuto.

• Sarracenian is the last Shocker monster to have a series of clips showcasing him following the opening sequence of his episode.
• Sarracenian was featured in the "monster gallery" accompanying the opening narration, following the opening sequence, from episodes 5 to 13.
• A portrait of Sarracenian appeared lining a wall with those of the other original four monsters (Man Spider, Bat Man, and Scorpion Man), in a Shocker base where Gebacondor was created with the strongest traits of the past monsters defeated by Kamen Rider. ^{[The Blood-Sucking Monster Gebacondor]}
