A deceased man named Thoru (透, Tōru), also known as Sarracenia Augment-01 (サラセニアオーグ, Sarasenia Ōgu),[1] was a failed Augment created by Shocker. He is only mentioned by Hachi Augment-01 in a deleted scene of Shin Kamen Rider.

Sarracenia Augment-01 died after the augmentation process failed. Human-plant Augments were especially difficult to produce as their structures are too different.[2]

- The existence of Sarracenia Augment-01 in the deleted scene was first mentioned by director Hideaki Anno on April 29, 2023. The scene itself was uploaded on the official Twitter account four days later.
