This article is about a production company in Saban's Masked Rider. |
Saban Entertainment was an American television company founded by Haim Saban[1] and Shuki Levy. It was known for creating and producing the iconic Power Rangers franchise starting with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993. With the success of the show's first two seasons, Saban opted to expand the franchise by adapting the Kamen Rider Series for American audiences in the United States. He chose to adapt primarily Kamen Rider Black RX for Saban's Masked Rider. Its protagonist, Dex Stewart, appeared in a crossover in the third season of MMPR, the three-parter pilot "A Friend in Need", two weeks before his own series premiere.
In October 2001, the Power Rangers IP was sold to Disney,[2][1], to which Saban later repurchased back in 2011 as Saban Brands.
Saban Entertainment also adapted the Metal Hero Series to create VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs.
