The SB-913X Kaixa Blaygun (SB-913X カイザブレイガン, SB-913X Kaiza Bureigan), or alternatively spelled Kaixa Braygun,[1] is a multipurpose weapon, serving as both a pistol and a lightsaber-like Photon Edge. By default, it is in the shape of the Greek letter Chi "Χ", or an upside-down "4".
Overview[]
In Gun Mode (ガンモード, Gan Mōdo), activated by pulling on the Blaygun's hammer, it can fire 12 rounds of Photon Blood before it needs to reload.
To initiate Blade Mode (ブレードモード, Burēdo Mōdo), one needs to insert the Kaixa Mission Memory into the slot below the hammer, a blade made of Sol Glass is extended from the bottom of the gun grip. This form may still utilize the pistol part of the weapon if the blade is held by the gun grip, though the weapon can be reversed to be used as a standard 2-handed sword.
Finishers[]
The Exceed Charge with this weapon is the Kaixa Slash (カイザスラッシュ, Kaiza Surasshu) attack, where after one cocks the hammer until it locks, a constricting energy net is then fired from its gun section, while simultaneously over-charging the sword section and temporarily increasing Kaixa's speed for a dashing strike. It can also be used as a simple energized slash attack.
It is important to notice that the blade of the Kaixa Blaygun does not cause damage by itself, but due to the energy that it discharges once in contact with the target.
User[]
Ganbarider[]
The Kaixa Blaygun is also among the various Rider Weapons used by Ganbarider in Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbarizing.
Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
As a device of Smart Brain, the Kaixa Blaygun's voice is provided by Takehiko Kano (假野 剛彦, Kano Takehiko), who also served as the narrator of Kamen Rider 555.
Notes[]
- This weapon would later serve as inspiration for the Musou Saber from Kamen Rider Gaim.
- Unlike the majority of Rider Gear equipment in the series, the Kaixa Blaygun is not disguised as an everyday tool.
- In the video game Battride War series, the Blaygun's blade mode is already extended without the Mission Memory from the start of the gameplay.
