The Transformation Belt SB-333B Delta Driver (変身ベルト SB-333B デルタドライバー, Henshin Beruto SB-333B Deruta Doraibā) is a high tech looking belt that generates the Photon Streams to form the Delta Rider armor. If the belt is removed, the armor disappears. It is the primary storage place for the Delta Mission Memory.

Overview[]

Unlike the other gears, the Delta Gear's buckle is fixed into the middle, where the Gear's transgenerator is attached. The device that actually starts Delta's transformation is fitted into the right hip like a pistol holster.

Its armor is the heaviest, slowing down the wearer significantly. It also only has one weapon and Exceed Charge to accompany it, the Delta Blaster and its Lucifer's Hammer. However, to compensate, the armor amplifies the users' physical power the most, somewhat eliminating the need for more weapons. Since this Driver is still in the prototype stage, it can be used freely by either human, with or without Orphnoch DNA artificially implanted into them, or by an actual Orphnoch.

This is not without its own faults, however. The Driver has a defect that causes its users to become addicted to battle, making them go insane with bloodlust. Only those with strong wills or a desire to not fight at all can resist its influence. If someone is already insane, it does not affect them.

History[]

The Delta Gear was the first set of Kamen Rider Gear developed by the Smart Brain Corporation to protect the Orphnoch King. It never moved past the prototype stage.

Early appearances of the Delta Gear are regarded with something akin to horror, as the mere presence of the Delta Gear's wearer inspired fear and dread in Orphnochs as well as other Kamen Riders. One notable detail is that Orphnochs killed by Delta die with a red flame explosion as opposed to the usual blue flames; the reason for this is left unclear.

The Delta Gear was coveted and transferred around by several members of the Ryūsei School until it was taken by Kitazaki (Dragon Orphnoch) of Lucky Clover until he grew bored of being Delta and abandoned the Belt. It was once again tossed around from person to person until Shūji Mihara was appointed its primary user.

Along with the SB-555B Faiz Driver, this belt also remains intact after the Arch Orphnoch's defeat.

Years later, Smart Queen possessed the belt and uses it to fight Kamen Rider Genm Musou Gamer. It was destroyed by Genm's Critical Finale.

The Delta Driver was then later used currently by new user Hisao in Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Regained.

Other Events[]

Paradise Lost[]

In an alternate continuity, Kamen Rider 555: Lost World, the belt was destroyed by the Rose Orphnoch with its primary user killed and the remaining components reused to create the two Emperor's Belts, the Drivers SB-315B Psyga Driver (a.k.a. the Belt of the Sky) and SB-000B Orga Driver, for Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Lost, explaining the absence of the Delta Driver and Shuji within the film.

World of Faiz[]

Three Belts DCD

The Delta Driver also existed in the A.R. World of Faiz but was unused. It was seen abandoned alongside the Psyga Driver and a Smart Buckle in the ruins of Smart Brain High School as Daiki Kaito retrieved the Orga Driver as his "treasure" from Faiz's World. [555 Faces, 1 Treasure]

Behind the Scenes[]

Portrayal[]

As a device of Smart Brain, the Delta Driver's voice is provided by Takehiko Kano (假野 剛彦, Kano Takehiko), who also served as the narrator of Kamen Rider 555.
