Ryo Kajiki (加治木 涼, Kajiki Ryō) is a high school student and Houtaro Ichinose's best friend.
History[]
At some point, Ryo Kajiki began attending Furasu High School and became friends with Houtaro.
During the havoc of the 101 Chemies being unsealed and running around the city, Kajiki encountered Steamliner on his way home at the train station and took a picture of it on his phone. He enthusiastically went to tell Houtaro and show off the evidence, but Mr. Minato used an alchemy ability to erase Kajiki’s memory and erase all the evidence from his phone.
Despite forgetting, Kajiki had a feeling he forgot something important and then the following day he witnessed Skebows playing with children at the Skate Park.
Despite seeing this, he had doubts about what he saw until he later encountered the Poisonous Mushroom Malgam. Kajiki enthusiastically ran towards the monster and took photos, but the insane killer inside believed that Kajiki was laughing at him and poisoned him with its spores. Fortunately, Mr. Minato and the Academy administered the antidote to those affected by the poison and Kajiki recovered offscreen.
Kajiki would repeatedly have his memories wiped of the incidents he encountered involving Chemies by the Alchemy Academy, but he has a nagging feeling that he has forgotten something important.
Personality[]
Kajiki is an avid believer in the occult and reads the occult magazine Chojo Wakusei. He is excitable when encountering a supernatural event, often dropping what he is doing to take pictures or in certain cases, ending up in danger by going near a Malgam.

Ryo Kajiki is portrayed by Amon Kabe (加部 亜門, Kabe Amon).
Notes[]
- Originally, Ryo Kajiki did not exist, and his role of an urban legends expert was spread out amongst the students of Furasu High School. However because producer Yousuke Minato wanted Houtaro to have a friend, Hasegawa and Uchida created Kajiki.[1]
