Revive! Vail!? Memories of The Igarashi Family (よみがえる!ベイル!?五十嵐家の記憶, Yomigaeru! Beiru!? Igarashi-ka no Kioku) is the twenty-fifth episode of Kamen Rider Revice. It features the debut and only series appearance of Kamen Rider Vail.
Synopsis[]
Failing to unlock the limiter of the Demons Driver, Orteca retreats and the demon inside the Demons Driver began act much more fluently than before. "My name is Vail. Now, it's time to go home."
Meanwhile, Karizaki is frustrated over him not understanding the cause behind the unification of Ikki and Vice. He also knows about the huge fire that occurred at Happy Spa.
"Once you learn from the past, it will determine the future." Remembering these words spoken by his father, George begins to piece together hints about the Igarashi family.
However, both Orteca and Aguilera are back, and their battle with the Igarashi siblings begin.
Plot[]
As the demon introduces itself as Vail and “returns home”, Akaishi visits an angry Orteca who tells him not to worry as Giff’s revival is almost upon them. As George continues to struggle with figuring out how to separate Ikki and Vice, he remembered something his father once said during his childhood and looked up Ikki’s profile on Fenix’s database, learning of a horrific fire that occurred at Happy Spa many years ago.
Back at Happy Spa, Genta is worried that Happy Spa’s existence may be threatened just like a fire that had occurred many years ago, before Sakura was born. While Daiji was too young to remember the incident, Ikki has a memory block regarding it. Genta then suffers from his usual chest pains and is taken back to his own room to recover.
At Weekend, Karizaki is visited by Vail, who had taken possession of the Vail Driver at the place. While out on a stroll, George senses the bloodlust coming from the Deadmans and calls the Igarashi siblings out to his location while he confronts Orteca, Aguilera, and two newly made Gifftarians. The Igarashi siblings arrive, transform, and defeat the Gifftarians, but are forced out of their transformations as Vice, Lovekov, and Kagero begin acting out due to Giff’s influence.
Out of nowhere, Aguilera is attacked by Genta, who is wearing the Vail Driver. With his children shocked, he transforms into Kamen Rider Vail and easily defeats the two additional Gifftarians sent by Orteca. Orteca and Aguilera leave, and Vail sets his sights on Genta’s children. Ikki attempts to protect his siblings, but Vail’s influence then unlocks his hidden memories. With him down, Daiji and Sakura stand up to protect their brother, and Genta manages to hold Vail back, later losing consciousness as Vail leaves. Mr. Buu then appears and takes Genta away.
Back at Happy Spa, Ikki begins telling the story of the fire to Daiji, Sakura, and George. 18 years ago, Vail was the inner demon of Genta, who had burned down Happy Spa out of revenge for his host. Yukimi and Daiji were unconscious and Sakura was still unborn. Out of fear for his own family’s safety, Ikki gave birth to Vice, who erased his memories to protect him.
Simultaneously as George tells a different story about Genta to the siblings, Karizaki tells it to Tasuke. When the Giff Stamp was found, it was considered indecipherable and Karizaki was the head of the research division that studied it. Its ability to morph humans into demons was militarized and the Vistamps were created. To harness that power, the Vail Driver was created, but held the deadly side effect of the demon associated with the weaponry eating away at the user’s life. Genta Igrashi had been critically injured and his heart was implanted with Giff’s genes from a surgery performed by Karizaki, which allowed him to become immune to the demon’s life-sucking abilities and the perfect candidate for the Vail Driver. As George points out, Ikki, Daiji, and Sakura all have Giff’s genes flowing through their bodies due to their father, which was why they were able to transform in the first place.
In Giff’s study room, a scientist is eaten by the demon.
