Plot[]
Episode 1[]
As Genta begins to record a new vlog for his online channel, Yukimi reminiscences on how she met her husband. 25 years ago, Junpei Shiranami was brought in by NOAH after he suffered a life-threatening accident and was saved by Masumi Karizaki on Agariyama's orders. Waking up with no memory of his past except for the fact that a "red demon" had killed his parents, Masumi approaches him with the power to become a powerful demon hunter and sends him out on his first mission as Kamen Rider Vail.
Despite the mission being a success, the violent nature of Vail left Masumi with regret, who had saved Junpei's life by implanting his heart with Giff's genes. Later as Junpei swears to avenge his parents, he awakens to Vail, who agrees to help him. However after mission after mission, the target of Junpei's revenge never showed up and it left nothing but voidness inside his soul. During a mission, Junpei was called a demon by a civilian, and his finisher attack had left him buried in debris. As he attempts to climb out, he is saved by Yukimi Igarashi.
Episode 2[]
In the present day, Yukimi finds Genta asleep in the living room. Yukimi continues her trip down memory lane when she first met her husband. She brought Junpei back home to treat his wounds, later offering him a hot bath and meal. Yukimi reveals that her parents died in an accident a long ago, leaving her on her alone. Realizing Junpei doesn't recall his name, Yukimi decides to address him as "Genta". Meanwhile at NOAH, Agariyama and Masumi discuss their Vistamp research and the sacrifices made to develop the Vail Driver.
After locating Subject 071, the NOAH Captain leads his men after Junpei as he is out with Yukimi. Despite Junpei fighting back, the NOAH soldiers chain Genta back in his cell and Agariyama hits him twice in the face, telling him this is his home. After the others have left, Vail observes that Genta appears to have developed feelings for Yukimi. Genta tells him to stop talking. Yukimi awakens in the cell next door. In the present, she recalls making a commitment to protect Genta at that time, believing it was her fate.
Episode 3[]
Shozo Irabu is visiting Happy Spa, relieved to find Genta resting happily in Yukimi's lap, unaware of all they had to endure in the past. Yukimi believes this is for the best because he has since had a lovely and happy life. In the past, Vail warns Junpei that if he does nothing, NOAH will execute Yukimi. Junpei and Yukimi realize their cells are near to each other. Yukimi admits her troubles after losing her parents and can't stand living alone any longer. Junpei feels the same way and begins to wonder if avenging the death of his family is still worth fighting anymore.
While Masumi observes the two, the NOAH Captain asks the scientist if he is willing to help him. However, Masumi declines since he's not ready to abandon a project midway through. Both are aware of Agariyama's evil, having ordered the deaths of Junpei's parents by a demon. Agariyama deems Subject 071 is a failure and orders the doctor to dispose of him and the woman. Meanwhile, Junpei escapes from his cell and rushes over to save Yukimi. The pair are aided by the NOAH Captain, handing him the Vail Driver to help subdue the other NOAH soldiers.
Episode 4[]
As a sleeping Genta continues resting, Irabu wonders if he could recall his tragic past. Yukimi expresses her hope that it would not happen, but admits that it could be a matter of time. Flashing back to 25 years ago, Genta and Yukimi are safely hiding in an abandoned warehouse. The NOAH Captain, revealed to be a younger Shozo Irabu, introduces himself to the couple. While Junpei is alone with Yukimi, he learns that she named him after her late dog "Genta". Before the two could kiss, Irabu interrupts them as NOAH forces are arriving.
Suddenly, an experimental demon emerges out of nowhere and begins assaulting the officers. The bullet fired by mistake, striking Yukimi in the arm. Vail asks Junpei in his mind whether he still despises demons. Junpei transforms into Kamen Rider Vail but begins acting erratically. Only after hearing Yukimi did his rampage quelled. Vail appears suddenly in his own physical body and brutally attacks the NOAH soldiers. Junpei realizes his demon is responsible for his parents' deaths. Overcome with despair, Vail takes over Junpei's body, much to Yukimi's terror.
Episode 5[]
Kamen Rider Vail is seen attacking NOAH headquarters, slaughtering the troops and scientists. When confronting Masumi Karizaki, the scientist offers his life as penance for his sins. Yukimi arrives with Irabu, screaming at Junpei to stop and look at her. Despite being grabbed by the neck, Yukimi manages to reach Junpei and he escape Vail's grasp. Junpei addresses Yukimi by name for the first time. When Agariyama arrives to kill the couple, Vail leaps out and shoves his entire arm through Agariyama. Vail turns at Genta, angred that he would chose "that woman" over him.
Junpei declares that he would stop Vail at whatever cost, including his own life. He transforms into Kamen Rider Vail and engages his demon. Although Junpei prevailed, Masumi absorbs Vail into the Demons Driver before the two vanished. As the NOAH headquarters began to collapse, Yukimi and Irabu carried an unconscious Junpei out. Masumi remains behind, presumed dead in the ensuing explosion. A few days later, Yukimi greets Junpei in the hospital bed. His face was changed and lost all his memories, especially Yukimi. She introduces herself as his wife and his name is "Genta". Since then, Yukimi swore to keep this secret to the grave.
In the present day, Yukimi prepares a lovely homecooked dinner for her family. Daiji tells out that she pampers Genta too much, but she claims that this is her dream after all. The Igarashis are having a good time eating together. In the post-credits scene, Hideo Akaishi rummages through the burning rubble of NOAH and picks up the Demons Driver with a sinister look on his face.
