History[]
Rena Kurumi is the leader in the new Smart Brain's Orphnoch annihilation squad, leading the Riotroopers to exterminate the Orphnochs as Kamen Rider Muez. She was first shown fighting the Rhinocerosbeetle Orphnoch, receiving cheers from an onlooking crowd. When Hisao was outed as an Orphnoch, this led to a battle with him as Kamen Rider Delta. However, Muez prevails by overpowering him with her predictive AI and eliminates him.
She exhibits an unusual attachment to Takumi Inui. Later on, she kidnaps Mari Sonoda, bringing her to a laboratory with the intention of activating the Orphnoch symbol implanted in the latter's body. This results in Mari transforming into the Wildcat Orphnoch, making it Rena's primary objective to eliminate her. However, Rena underestimates the formidable fighting abilities of the Wildcat Orphnoch.
Subsequently, Rena tracks down Takumi and Mari, transforming into Muez and fighting alongside Nozomi Kitazaki. Although they initially decide to retreat, Muez corners them and is on the verge of finishing them off. Surprisingly, Rena stops herself and urges the two to escape. Despite this change of heart, Kitazaki cannot forgive such betrayal, and he projects a tentacle that stabs Rena in the abdomen. Rena tries to attack Kitazaki, but he stabs her again, with the tentacle splitting into smaller wire-like tentacles, causing her body to be cut into pieces.
Personality[]
Rena is a hardworking individual who mostly puts on a serious persona whenever she is on an assignment. But she easily gets flustered when she has to transform in front of others like she has to remove her clothing in the process, and has to have Kitazaki help her to re-focus. She also tends to have a child-like personality whenever she fully completes her missions. Rena has an unhealthy obsession for Takumi to reciprocate her feelings for him, and is willing to dirty her hands to eliminate his lover, Mari, by awakening her as an Orphnoch to hunt her down. Despite this dark side of hers, Rena draws her moral line when she discovers that her boss is a heartless android used by the government to control Smart Brain. This causes to turn on her employer to help Takumi, but at the cost of her own life in the end.
