The Ouroboros Realm (ウロボロス界, Uroborosu Kai) is an alternate world used by Fuga Kudo as his hide-out, laboratory, and secret place to store the Ride Chemy Cards.[1]
Overview[]
The Ouroboros Realm is an alternate world containing various objects, multiple colorful and huge round-bottom flasks hanging on ropes from the sky.
In the center of it all, a giant Ouroboros Snake can be seen looming over the sky with the tip of its tail piercing through its head, surrounded by the flasks. The snake serves as the portal to open Door of Darkness.
The common way to access the realm is via Chemies like Steamliner, UFO-X, Tenliner and Exceedfighter. Glion and the Three Dark Sisters also have their own unique way of accessing the realm by creating portals.
The realm also seemingly houses different locations each with its own unique landmarks:
- When Houtaro enters the Ouroboros Realm with Steamliner's help, he finds himself on the outskirts of an abandoned old western town with a train station located nearby.
- When Houtaro enters the Ouroboros Realm with UFO-X's help, he finds himself in the middle of a forest deep in the mountains.
- When Houtaro travels back in time by using Daybreak Timelord's ability, he finds himself in a small playground where he met his younger self.
- He also finds Fuga Kudo's laboratory building, which is located inside a mountain. It stored a driver in-development's concept art and several Chemies. Fuga left this building after his first conflict with Glion and the Three Dark Sisters. Later, when Houtaro and his allies arrive here, they find a bunch of abandoned factories and warehouses near the building.
- When Glion arrives at a forest at Ouroboros Realm, which is nearby the Ouroboros Snake, he used all the Ride Chemy Cards and a spell to extract and transmute all the liquid in the flask in the sky into a huge cauldron, which then transforms into a lake at the center of forest.
- A valley is located directly below the Ouroboros Snake, close to the abandoned factory and the aforementioned forest. Glion was consumed by Germain in this valley, it is also the first place where the unsealed Dark Kings for landing at.
- Fuga's latest two-story laboratory building is located at the edge of the barrier. There is a small room in the middle of the first floor, which was originally used for Fuga to meditate and recuperate. Later, Fuga used it as a medical room for Supana to recover. There are stairs on both sides of the house that lead to the second floor, where there are many industrial pipes on display. There are also doors and windows leading to the outside.
History[]
Background[]
The Ouroboros Realm was used as a place where Fuga would live as he hid from the Alchemys Union and developed the Gotchardriver.
Incident in the Past[]
Ten years ago, a young Houtaro was playing with Hopper1 and Steamliner in a park. Meanwhile, Glion and the Three Dark Sisters found Fuga's first laboratory and tried to steal the driver's design book from Fuga in order to open the Door of Darkness, but Fuga eventually discovered them and started a fight with them. Young Houtaro arrived and take his action for protecting Chemies, making Fuga. Although he had to altering Houtaro's memory due to the law of alchemy, Fuga hoped the boy will one day grow and reach his destiny. After this event, Fuga moved his laboratory to another smaller house.
Houtaro's Experience[]
Ten years later, the Three Dark Sisters found Fuga's latest laboratory and hideout, forcing Fuga to free all of the Chemies while escaping from the former. After boarding Steamliner, Houtaro arrived at the Ouroboros Realm, where he met Fuga at the station. Without his previous memories, Houtaro was surprised by everything in the Ouroboros Realm and could only be saved by Fuga until the latter disappeared after blocking an attack from the Three Dark Sisters. Before disappearing, Fuga entrusted the driver to Houtaro, allowing him become Kamen Rider Gotchard.
After Houtaro was able to access Super Gotchard UFOX form, he briefly teleported to the Ouroboros Realm to contact UFO-X. Later when the Moon Malgam kidnapped all his friends, Houtaro sought help from Gotchard Daybreak. Using Daybreak Timelord, Houtaro traveled back in time to ten years ago to the Ouroboros Realm to meet his past self. He understood the conflict between Fuga and Glion, and obtained a precious treasure from his past self: a goggle that the latter had transmuted from sand. Houtaro returned to the present and used the goggles to transmute it to the Gotcharigniter and evolved into Fire Gotchard.
Fuga had to build a small room in his latest laboratory to recover from his injury. During this period, Glion entered the Ouroboros Realm in an attempt to open the Door of Darkness to achieve his goal, but was eventually stopped by Platina Gotchard.
The Dark Kings Return[]
However, Glion's actions eventually gave the other Dark Kings the opportunity to escape from the Door of Darkness and arrive on Earth. Fuga completely hid himself for a long time, until he was discovered by Dark Kings again.
After Supana Kurogane was seriously injured in a conflict with Houtaro, Fuga took care of Supana in his room and helped him recover. He also informed Supana that he could use his laboratory whenever he wishes.

Notes[]
- The Ouroboros is a gnostic and alchemical symbol that expresses the unity of all things, material and spiritual, which never disappear but perpetually change form in an eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation.
- The episode blog for Episode 18 mistakenly stated the Ouroboros Realm was created by Fuga Kudo.[2] It would later be rectified that the Ouroboros Realm already existed and Fuga only created his secret research lab in said realm.[3]
