For the Makamou featured in Kamen Rider Hibiki & The Seven Senki, see Orochi.

Orochi is a disastrous event happening during Kamen Rider Hibiki. Not much is known about what this event really means, but signs leading up to it suggest it can't be good. The first signal of Orochi occurring is the appearance of Kodama's forest, which suddenly appears out of nowhere at inappropriate places, such as a city. What follows is the sudden multiplication of Makamou, mysteriously appearing without any parent Douji or Hime.

This event is also out of the control and even feared by The Man and Woman as they attempted to work together with the Oni, by negotiating with them and even commanding their servants Super Douji and Hime to assist the Oni in a fight.

To stop Orochi, a complex and dangerous sealing ritual was required. Ibuki, as the heir of an ancient family of Oni, was chosen to do this ritual, but since Ibuki is very insecure about surviving, Hibiki decided to take his place. Hibiki starts the sealing of Orochi, causing hundreds of Makamou to attack him and the other Oni present at the site of the ritual. The rest of the ritual and coinciding battle is not shown in the series, but since everyone is still alive in the epilogue a year later, it can be assumed Hibiki succeeded.

It is not known if this event holds any ties to the similarly named Makamou appearing in the film.
