The Transformation Holy Sword Onjuuken Suzune (変身聖剣 音（オン）銃（ジュウ）剣（ケン）錫（スズ）音（ネ）, Henshin Seiken Onjūken Suzune, lit. "Sound Gun Sword Suzune") is the transformation device and personal weapon of Kamen Rider Slash.

Design

The Onjuuken Suzune is composed of the following parts:

• Kanade Hilt (カナデヒルト, Kanade Hiruto, lit. "To Play Hilt"): (Note: 'Kanaderu' (奏でる), which 'kanade' is derived from, means 'to play an instrument'.) The handle. It has the role of telling the swordsman the beat of the sound and adjusting the tempo of a sound-based attack.
• Suzune Trigger (スズネトリガー, Suzune Torigā): The trigger. When triggered, the Onjuuken Suzune reads its user's intentions and initializes Rider Finishers.
• Onjuuken Suzune Emblem (音銃剣錫音エンブレム, Onjūken Suzune Enburemu): The baby-blue circle decorated with Slash's emblem. It can produce a holy sound (聖なる音, seinaru oto') that can inspire righteous beings and calm wicked entities.
• Suzune Shelf (スズネシェルフ, Suzune Sherufu): The area of the Onjuuken Suzune where a Wonder Ride Book is placed in. In addition to drawing power from the Wonder Ride Book and transmitting it to the Seiken, it also brings various abilities to the "Sword Robe" (Slash's bodysuit).
• Senritsuzin (センリツジン, Senritsujin, lit. "Melody Blade"): The pinkish blade section. It has been sharpened by holy sound over several years, and the blade has the ability to change its sharpness depending on the tone applied.
• Suzune Soul (スズネソウル, Suzune Sōru): The blade's overall jet-black body. It is a blade that can carry wisdom. It can read and contain the lore of a Wonder Ride Book inserted into the Suzune Shelf and/or the Shingan Reader to initiate transformation and/or attacks. When a Wonder Ride Book is scanned, its lore is transmitted into the Suzune Soul, causing high frequencies to emit from the two speakers, shaking the blade. In Gun Mode, the Suzune Soul splits to reveal the concealed Onritsu Muzzle and Waon Equalizer.
• Onritsu Muzzle (オンリツマズル, Onritsu Mazuru, lit. "Rhythm Muzzle"): The concealed barrel. Only usable in Gun Mode. Suzune Bullets (錫音弾, Suzune Dan) are fired from here to destroy targets from a long distance.
• Waon Equalizer (ワオンイコライザー, Waon Ikoraizā, lit. "Chord Equalizer"): The audio equipment stored in the Suzune Soul. It can instantly create Suzune Bullets, which can cancel the natural frequency of a target, and load them into the Onritsu Muzzle.
• Shingan Reader (シンガンリーダー, Shingan Rīdā, lit. "Mind's Eye Reader"): The reading device located below the Onjuuken Suzune's main body. By pressing the special speed-reading metal fitting Spireader located on the back cover of a Wonder Ride Book against it, the Onjuuken Suzune can read the book's lore. As a result, it becomes possible to temporarily hold all the power of the Wonder Ride Book's lore in the Seiken for finishing attacks. Additionally, attack power can be stacked when a Wonder Ride Book is pressed against it several times.

Modes

The Onjuuken Suzune has two modes: Sword Board Mode (剣盤モード, Kenban Mōdo) and Gun Play Mode (銃奏モード, Jūsō Mōdo).

Functionality

Transformation

To transform, the user plugs a Wonder Ride Book into the slot on the backside of the sword, before pulling the trigger. The user then appears in a library filled with sweets, before performing a thrust attack with the sword, sending the visor-like aura away. Next, the user is covered with a magenta-like aura and sweets that forms the armor while the aura from the thrust forming the visor, completing the transformation. By removing the inserted book and repeating the process with a different one, Slash can enhance his armor without cancelling his transformation. Slash can also opt to change the sword into its gun mode before he proceed with armor enhancement and vice versa.

Finisher

To activate a finisher, the user scans another book in the slot under the sword before pulling the trigger. The scanning can be done up to three times.

This finisher has three variations:

• Slash charges Onjuuken Suzune with pink energy before delivering a pink energy slash that creates a burst of confections upon impact. A apparition of Slash's visor then appears on the enemy before they explode.
• Slash charges Onjuuken Suzune with pink energy, before cutting the enemy to produce a melted candy energy that sticks the enemy's lower body. Slash then walks in front of his enemy, delivers a downward cut to them. A apparition of his face explodes on the enemy before they themselves explode.
• Slash leaps into the air and performs a flying kick.

Iron Shout (アイアン・シャウト, Aian Shauto): Slash is surrounded by musical symbols while he performs a series of three pink energy slashes that leave behind trails of musical notation and create visible soundwaves upon impact. He then spins and delivers a final, larger slash of musical notes that cuts through the opponent and causes them to explode.

• Slash charges Onjuuken Suzune with energy lines of musical notation before he fires a blast of colorful energy that can dispel negative effects on enemies.
• Slash fires a salvo of energy bullets that home in on the enemy.
• Slash charges Onjuuken Suzune while energy musical notes surround it. However, rather than fire at enemies in front of him, he suddenly points his weapon up and fires into the air, creating an energy construct of a musical staff with musical notes on it that forms a ring around a group of enemies. The musical notes then act as speakers that blast the targets with sound. Slash snaps his fingers, causing the sound to increase in intensity until the opponents explode.

Beat Lollipopper (ビート・ロリポッパー, Bīto Roripoppā): This finisher has two variations.

• Slash fires a series of cyan energy blasts, with an image of Slash's mask appearing in front of Onjuuken Suzune's barrel during each shot. The blasts then fly through rings of multicolored energy musical notes.
• When attacked by an enemy's weapon, Slash fires at the weapon with Onjuuken Suzune at point-blank range to deflect it. The blue lines on Onjuuken Suzune glow before Slash charges it with pink energy while images of sweets and lines of musical notation appear around the Seiken. Slash then fires a giant pink energy construct of a bullet, which transforms into a pink laser. The laser passes through circles of musical notation before piercing through the enemy and anything behind them. Pink energy lingers at the point of impact for a short time before exploding.

Portrayal

The Onjuuken Suzune is voiced by Akio Otsuka (大塚 明夫, Ōtsuka Akio), who has voiced various characters in Super Sentai, including Hades God Dagon in Mahou Sentai Magiranger and Champ/Oushi Black in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. The vocal section is provided by singer Eizo Sakamoto (坂本 英三, Sakamoto Eizou).

• The Onjuuken Suzune is the first transformation device in the entire franchise to have 2 entirely different transformation announcements for the same form.
