Noritaka Hamao (濱尾ノリタカ, Hamao Noritaka) is a Japanese actor who portrays George Karizaki/Kamen Rider Juuga in Kamen Rider Revice.
Biography[]
In school, Hamao was a competitive swimmer and won relay tournaments. However he dropped swimming to pursue acting due to his immense love for Kamen Rider. After doing some self research to figure out how to audition for Kamen Rider Zero-One, he put in an application for Ken-On Entertainment, but his entry was too late as by the time he got in, auditions for Zero-One had already concluded. Hamao's official debut was in the drama series Peanut Butter Sandwich, which co-starred So Okuno and Shugo Oshinari.
Hamao auditioned for Kamen Rider again the next year with Kamen Rider Saber, but did not perform adequately enough and was unable to land a role. After a year of reflecting and self-improvement, Hamao was cast in Revice as George Karizaki.
After Revice, Hamao starred in the stage-play How Many Sins Are There?, which reunited him with co-star Shigeyuki Totsugi.
Personal life[]
- Like his character George, Hamao is a massive fan of Kamen Rider who was introduced to the franchise by his father with the Showa-era, stating Kamen Rider V3 to be his favorite series.[1] Hamao was also nicknamed "Kuuga boy" due to him having been born two months before the premiere of Kamen Rider Kuuga.
- Hamao has interpreted George to be like Doc Brown from Back to the Future, Tony Stark from Iron Man, and Joji Yuki/Riderman from Kamen Rider V3.
