This article is about a Rider in Kamen Rider Geats. |
Niramu (ニラム )[1] is the Game Producer of the Desire Grand Prix who transforms into Kamen Rider Gazer (仮面ライダーゲイザー, Kamen Raidā Geizā).
History[]
Background[]
Niramu was designed to serve as a Game Producer for the Desire Grand Prix, a position with the authority to monitor whether the tournament is being held fairly and had Samas appointed as his assistant. He began his first activities by going to the Sengoku period, through which he would introduced the tournament to a sponsor of that time and elect a Game Master. Afterwards, he would be introduced to Miiru, sharing both of their will to experience "reality" and to his predecessor Nemeru.
As Miiru was leaving and recruiting another chosen one as a Kamen Rider for Ziin, Niramu began to worry due to her being late to come back. In the meantime, Samas would report him from Suel that Nemeru has been dismissed and "any further malpractice by him should be met with erasure". His worries, combined with Suel's orders, would prove to be justified as he would later confront Nemeru trying to feed Miiru to a Rook Jyamato as a way to create the "strongest villain" for entertainment.
Remembering his previous conversation with Miiru about Kamen Riders not being pawns, but beings trying their hardest for happinness, Niramu would rebel against his predecessor's ideal of the Desire Grand Prix being mere fiction, claiming that her time spent as a navigator is real, leading both Niramu and Nemeru to clash first with their swords and then as Kamen Rider Gazer and Kamen Rider Gazer Zero respectively. During their fight, Niramu became distressed as Miiru died, consumed by the Rook Jyamato, but was then able to turn the tide on his side with Ziin's help to defeat Nemeru and killing the Rook Jyamato who killed Miiru.
Following those events, Niramu designated the 21st century era of Japan as the locale for his next Desire Grand Prix. He designed Miiru' successor Tsumuri and taught her the importance to learn about the realism of each era and produced many DGP to achieve his ideal of reality. He also appointed Kousei Kurama as one of the sponsors in exchange for the latter's wish to bring back his daughter Akari Kurama as Neon Kurama.
Conspiracy Arc[]
While monitoring the games, Niramu noticed Girori's suspicious actions, who has started to use his Game Master powers to openly intervene, overthrow, and eliminate Ace Ukiyo from the game. Through his secretary Samas, he secretly supported Ace by granting him access to the Command Twin Buckle.
After Girori found out, Niramu contacted and told him that a Game Master should be impartial to the players, though Girori ignored the advice and told Niramu to not interfere with his game.
Geats × Revice: Movie Battle Royale[]
Niramu does not make much appearance in this film. At the end of the film, Girori reports to Niramu that Ace may not be a human exist in this period, causing Niramu starting to investigate and observe more on Ace.
Fox Hunting[]
When Girori initiated the Fox Hunt interim round in a bid to kill Ace, Neon Kurama used her father's position as a major DGP sponsor to establish contact and file a complaint with Niramu regarding Girori's violations. Niramu was later physically present in the battlefield, bearing witness to Geats and Tycoon's ploy to expose Girori's interference and abuse of authority as Kamen Rider Glare. Once Girori had been defeated by the Riders, Niramu revokes Girori's position as the Game Master and erases his presence from the DGP, confiscating the Vision Driver as he congratulates the Riders.
Later, as yet another new round of the DGP begins, Niramu is among those seen in the audience, sitting together with Samas and Kousei Kurama, the latter of which comments on the "extra-dimensional" entertainment that Niramu had created.
Divergence Arc[]
At an outdoor ramen shop, Samas asks why Niramu chose not to reject Ace's wish. Niramu states if they let him do as he please, he might reveal his true colors like why Mitsume is Ace's mother. While Niramu is fine as Ace lies as a fox, the latter might change the principles of the world as they know if Ace wasn't lying.
Later on, Niramu and Samas encounter Michinaga Azuma, dumping him back into Archimedel's garden, fearing the realism of the Desire Grand Prix would be disrupted by return of the eliminated player. However, Niramu had a high hope that Azuma would be reborn as a Jyamato to make the show more entertaining. He was later informed about Michinaga and Jyamato's Sponsor Beroba and said he will take responsibility and was interested about the world's "realism."
Lamentation Arc[]
After the Jyamato Grand Prix had been started by Beroba, Niramu was considered the "Final Boss" of the JGP, with the Jyamato to claim Niramu's Vision driver the winner. After the end of the first round and Ace gaining access to Boost Mkll, Niramu was shown holding several desire cards from Ace's previous reincarnations, stating that Ace is a person who should not exist.
Niramu was being force to fight the Jyamato during the Sengoku game portion of the JGP due to the game designed by Beroba, which changes him into a general armor, though he has been stopped to engage in battle directly by Keiwa and Neon. During the break, Ziin starting to suspect something was fishy about Ace's past, he approached Niramu and questioned the producer if one of the wish of a former Dezashin, Yakumo Eisu's has been granted. While Niramu replies affirmative ,confirming Ziin's suspicions. Later, when the game restarts again, the riders finally accept for Niramu to join the battle, with him cutting down dozens of Pawn Jyamatos with ease using a katana only.
During the Heaven and Hell portion of the JPG, Niramu was questioned by Ace to see the Goddess of Genesis, to which Niramu refused to allow, saying that if Ace were to retrieve the Vison Driver from Michinaga Azuma, then he could. When further pressed by Ace about why Niramu couldn't just lend his, Niramu answered by stating that it would be Ace's reward for his contributions to world peace. After Ace successfully retrieved the Vison driver and visited the Goddess of Genesis, Niramu appeared to congratulate Ace before asking for the retrieved driver. Ace refused to comply, demanding answers about what happened to his mother, as well as why and how she became the Goddess of Genesis. Niramu simply stated that the reality of the world was how the Goddess willed it, to which Ace accused him of lying. After Ace realized that the DGP had forcibly turned his mother into the Goddess, Niramu dropped the charade and transformed into Kamen Rider Gazer to take the Vision driver and reset the world. Likewise, Ace transformed into Boost Mkll form and the two began fighting. Just as the two were about to use their respective finishers, Buffa appeared and took both Niramu and Ace by surprise, attacking and feeding the two to the Goddess and retrieving both Vision drivers alongside Beroba.
Yearning Arc[]
Having been resurrected by Suel, Win and Niramu approached Tsumuri and announced the initiation of the Grand End, the evacuation of DGP from the present timeline. [Yearning III: A Sister's Wish, A Brother's Wish]
Later, he visits Ziin in the audience viewing room and requests his assistance in retrieving the two Vision Drivers, the latter accepting under conditions that he learns of information of Ukiyo Ace's mother Mitsume. After Ace took one of the Vision Drivers that Ziin retrieved and used it to enter the temple holding the Goddess of Genesis, he witnessed said goddess rejecting Suel wish of a world without Ace.
Later on a rooftop while the Grand End commences, Niramu asks Suel if he wants to get rid of the Goddess, the latter replying that they have a successor to the goddess, confusing him. As Ace comes on the rooftop, Niramu is ordered by Suel to eliminate him. He comments that he and Ace now stand at a precipice, he asks Ace why he chose to walk the path of thorns, with Ace replying that he has no choice to forget about his mother Mitsume. As he transforms into Gazer, he tells Ace that the only path of happiness for him is to give up as he proceeds to fight him.
Initially having the upper hand as Ace lost his composure upon seeing the Goddess break down in front of him, Niramu bore witnessed to Ace's anger, the birth of the Mark IX buckle and Geats Mark III form. [Yearning V: Pure White Destruction]
Later, Niramu meets Suel in the Desire temple as he asks about the 'Successor' of the Goddess of Genesis. Samas then proceeds to declare that Suel has succeeded in creating and replicating the goddess's power, confusing Niramu. As he hears about how Tsumuri is created to become the second Goddess of Genesis, he asks Suel about the whereabouts of realism, stating that he exploited Mitsume's power from her earnest wishes and mangled it into the fictitious tale of the goddess, further adding that Suel intends to pull Tsumuri as the next goddess, declaring that a Desire Grand Prix which is built upon a foundation of lies has no merit. As he walks to Suel intending to attack him, he is being shot in the stomach by Samas, fatally wounding him as he watches his former assistant taking his Vision Driver.
Later, before he vanishes, Niramu hid from Ace on a rooftop while observing him. With his final breath, Niramu stated that in his many years of overseeing the world, Ace's reality is something that transcends an eternity of time and is something he would have liked to see to an end as he finally disappeared. Jyamato Awaking[]
After Suel's death, Niramu actually returned to the future era, with no memories of his past and was greeted by Ziin. Following his encounter, Niramu began to remember his time as the Game Producer of the Desire Grand Prix and witnessed the God Jyamato wreaking havoc in the digital world. Realizing that the God Jyamato is the "strongest villain" Nemeru spoke about, Niramu could only witness in terror Ziin's demise at the hands of the God Jyamato and claimed that humanity's doom is now an unescapable reality before a future version of Ace Ukiyo proposed a permanent solution to save the future. Just then, Beroba appeared and Niramu was mortally wounded. But before his death, Niramu entrsuted his Vision Driver to Beroba, hoping to change humanity's fate.
Niramu recorded a post-mortem video message explaining the origins of the Future People, the Desire Grand Prix and the Jyamato, revealing that humanity is doomed in the future and hoping the humans from the past would ensure humanity's survival.
Considering Ace's statement to his present self that the future is safe now with the God Jyamato never born, it can be assumed that Niramu and every victim of the God Jyamato were resurrected.
Personality[]
Niramu is shown to be calm and level-headed, rarely lashing out in anger unlike Girori. As per the DGP's role to stay neutral, Niramu doesn't harbor any malicious intent towards the players and wishes the game to be fair for them, even remotely granting Ace the Command Jet Buckle to help him. When consulting Girori for the last time, Niramu is shown to let out a sigh of disappointment, implying he had expected the former Game Master to be fair to all players.
Behind the scenes, Niramu is shown to have an obsession with making the Desire Grand Prix as "real" as possible, notably shown when he commented Ace's return as "realism", throwing Michinaga back into Archimedel's garden, and willingly attack his superiors to prevent any disruption towards the "realism" of the games. His obsession of Realism is also the sole reason why he let Beroba do as she pleased, and also the drive for him to stand up to Suel, albeit he was soon betrayed and mortally wounded by Samas.
A more comedic side to Niramu involves him eating several foods during his free time, to the point that he defines 'Happiness' to Kousei Kurama using the analogy of simply enjoying them. It's later revealed that this trait of Niramu is his way to honor Miiru legacy, whom birthed this idea so that Niramu could experience reality better.

- Deflect Suit (デフレクトスーツ, Defurekuto Sūtsu): The suit-type combat power strengthening device. Using energy supplied from the Vision Driver, it dramatically raises the output of the player's physical abilities. It also boasts impregnable defensive power by deploying Circle Deflector (サークルデフレクター, Sākuru Defurekutā) electromagnetic deflection shields from the circular Deflect Pits (デフレクトピット, Defurekuto Pitto) arranged throughout the body.
- Gazer Arm (ゲイザーアーム, Geizā Āmu): The arms. Using super-high-pressure energy supplied from the Vision Driver, it realizes super-speed combat motions.
- Absolute Manipulator (アブソリュートマニピュレーター, Abusoryūto Manipyurētā): The gloves. They demonstrate enough combat power to dominate the area solo by enhancing punch power and grip strength. A debuff program can also be applied to the target at the moment of impact to adjust the relative power balance.

Notes[]
- Niramu's transformation pose is a homage to Takumi Inui's transformation into Kamen Rider Faiz.[3][4]
- Scenes featuring Niramu were intended to be standard office conversations. However, director Shojiro Nakazawa began implementing scenes of Niramu eating, including visits to ramen stalls. This change was intended to create an exciting atmosphere. As Niramu hails from the future, he grapples with a fascination for modern cuisine but lacks knowledge of proper dining etiquette and table conversation.[5][6]
