This article is about a villain in the film Kamen Rider ZO. |
The Neonoid (ネオ生命体, Neo Seimeitai, lit. New Lifeform) is the main antagonist of Kamen Rider ZO. It is a sentient fluid that relies on the container it lives in to survive.
Kamen Rider ZO[]
The Neonoid was created by Dr. Mochizuki in his attempt to create a "perfect lifeform", with Masaru Aso/Kamen Rider ZO serving as its prototype. Initially the Neonoid was non-violent, allowing Hiroshi Mochizuki (望月 宏, Mochizuki Hiroshi) to interact with it at one point. As the Neonoid grew older and learnt human speech however, Dr. Mochizuki taught it to view human emotions as worthless, giving it a god complex in the process. As the Neonoid grew more and more twisted however, Dr. Mochizuki became horrified at what he had created, regaining his sanity.
To please his "father", the Neonoid eventually took on a deformed appearance of Hiroshi and sought to become an almighty creature, imprisoning its creator when he refused to release it from the confines of its pool.
In an attempt to blackmail its creator, the Neonoid spawned a medium vessel to act through in order to find Hiroshi and hold him hostage, the extension assimilating matter in a junkyard to assume a grotesque form known as Doras. When interfered, Doras created two more monsters from itself to deal with Kamen Rider ZO and capture Hiroshi.
After Hiroshi was captured, Doras confronts ZO and absorbs him, attaining a new form. Defenseless, Hiroshi is nearly murdered by Doras, when his pocket watch suddenly drops out. The music from Hiroshi's pocket watch causes the Neonoid to remember its early years, feeling a sense of empathy in the process. This surge of humanity within itself causes the Neonoid's hold on ZO to significantly weaken, allowing the latter to break free.
With Dr. Mochizuki further weakening the Neonoid by destroying its life support pool, ZO then finishes Doras with his ZO Kick, the monster dissolving while Neonoid ceases to be.
In an S.I.C. Hero Saga crossover with Kamen Rider J, Doras gains the power of the Fog Mother, gaining different forms as a result, Red Doras Ver. 2, Doras Ultimate Form, and Fog Doras.
Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker[]
Doras, among many other revived monsters, was part of the Dai-Shocker army in the World of Decade that was fought and wiped out by a gathering of 25 Kamen Riders. [Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker]
Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 2010[]
In the epilogue film of Kamen Rider Decade, Dr. Super Shinigami, seemingly creates another Neonoid to destroy Kamen Rider Decade. In its deformed child form, it refers to Shinigami and the Wasp Woman as "Mama" and "Papa". Still when Wasp Woman releases it after being defeated by Electro Magnetic Wave Human Tackle, the Neonoid absorbs her and spawns a Doras that goes on a destructive rampage with Colonel Zol attacked by it. Doras overpowered Decade and his comrades until the Riders from the Nine Worlds arrived to help and with Decade Complete Form turning them into their Ultimate Forms they destroy Doras. But the Neonoid controls the Super Crisis Fortress as its fight with Decade collides with that between Double and the Dummy Dopant.
After the Super Crisis Fortress is destroyed, surviving it, the Neonoid assimilates the Dummy Dopant to assume the form of Ultimate·D. Ultimate·D was able to overpower the Riders. Fortunately Decade produced the Kamen Rider W Final Form Ride Card to make Kamen Rider Double into CycloneCyclone and JokerJoker and with the Final Attack Ride Card Triple Extreme they destroy Ultimate·D.
Ultimate·D is described as the most powerful and evil monster of Super Shocker, as it was able to easily overpower many Kamen Riders with little effort. It had the ability to shoot out orbs of energy and greater fighting skills than any of Doras' forms.
OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders[]
Due to a change in history caused by Ankh leaving a O Medal behind in 1971, Shocker achieved its goal of world dominion with the Shocker Greeed which defeated the Double Riders, and new members from the various groups that would had manifested in the normal timeline after Shocker's destruction. Doras was among the many monsters who were part of the this alliance. As more and more of the Kamen Riders started appearing and fighting Shocker's forces, ZO fought against Doras once more.
Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen[]
Doras was revived as part of Dai-Shocker in the "Super Hero Taisen" incident, led by Tsukasa Kadoya/Kamen Rider Decade, rivaling Captain Marvelous/Gokai Red and Dai-Zangyack. When Joe Gibken became Gokai Blue and charged to attack Decade, Doras tried to stop him. After he was beaten back by Decade, Joe was forced out of his transformation by Doras, who was about to kill him before Captain Marvelous intervened and swiftly destroyed the monster when it let its guard down. Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai[]
Doras was resurrected as part of the revived Badan Empire. When the 15 Heisei Riders and 15 Showa Riders joined forces to defeat Badan, Doras was destroyed along with three Chaps and one Destron Combatman by Kamen Rider Hibiki's Ongekida Kaenrenda no Kata. Statistics
Ability Parameters:
- Maximum Jump Height: 150 m.[2]
Doras is the Neonoid's proxy body which it uses to interact with the world outside its pool. It is formed from a small silver sphere that assimilates inorganic matter from its surroundings, and is able to return to this form to move more quickly. Doras is capable of levitation as well as regenerating from almost any injury. It can absorb more matter in order to replace lost limbs and its control over the material it is composed of allows it to reform its body into other shapes or produce monsters such as the Kumo Woman and Koumori Man from itself.
The three red dots on its right shoulder can focus molecular energy into a beam called the Moleculaser (マリキュレイザー, Marikyureizā) that is powerful enough to destroy a large steel tower. Doras can also fire multiple beams from the weapon or fire the attack in every direction from its whole body. It possesses a retractible, bladed tail named the Doras Tail (ドラステール, Dorasu Tēru) that can penetrate 30 cm thick concrete and can fire its right arm for the Rocket Arm (ロケットアーム, Roketto Āmu) attack.
Statistics (Original → Ver. II)
After Doras absorbed Kamen Rider ZO, it evolved into its Power Up Version (パワーアップ体, Pawā Appu-tai), alternatively Red Doras (赤ドラス, Aka Dorasu). In S.I.C. Hero Saga, Doras absorbed ZO again and into another Power Up Version with wings.
Appearance: Kamen Rider ZO, Kamen Rider ZO (& J) Edition: ZO VS J
By using the J-Power of Kamen Rider J to take in the energy of the Earth, Red Doras (II) can assume the Doras Ultimate Version (ドラス究極形態, Dorasu Kkyūkyoku Keitai) that is armed with weapons on his shoulders and chest.
This form is exclusive to S.I.C. Hero Saga Kamen Rider ZO (& J) Edition: ZO VS J.
Statistics
A powerful and gigantic form Doras assumes by absorbing the remnants of the mechanical ship and the sleeping Fog Mother. Its full combat abilities have not been seen, but this form is known to be a threat greater than Fog Mother and Doras apart.
This form is exclusive to S.I.C. Hero Saga Kamen Rider ZO (& J) Edition: ZO VS J.
Statistics
Ultimate·D (アルティメットD, Arutimetto Dī) is a form the Neonoid assumed after absorbing the Dummy Dopant. Described as Super Shocker's most powerful and evil monster, the claim proved to be true. Despite it's large and bulky appearance, it moves at a high speed and possesses greater combat abilities than Doras. It also has the ability to shoot explosive energy orbs at opponents.
This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 2010.Behind the Scenes[]
