Narushi Kamui (神威為士, Kamui Narushi) is a member of Madguy who transforms into Kamen Rider Kamui (仮面ライダー神威, Kamen Raidā Kamui).

History[]

Kamui was born on October 20th. 2 years ago, he was kidnapped by Chaosism and was implanted with fake memories of living in Ichinogao City. He had undergone human modification and was sent to the B Class of the 5th Generation in Rider Academy.

Personality[]

A beautiful young man who has absolute confidence in his own beauty. He is a self-proclaimed genius creator. He is an extreme narcissist and all of his works are self-portraits. He usually works on his creative activities in an abandoned hotel that serves as his base and atelier. He is on bad terms with Kyosuke Araki.

Kamen Rider Kamui (仮面ライダー神威, Kamen Raidā Kamui) is the normal form accessed by activating the Chaos Driver with Narushi's Chaos Ring.

This form's finisher is the Theory of Despair and Craving (絶望と渇望の理, Zetsubō to Katsubō no Ri).

Narushi Kamui is voiced by Kengo Kawanishi (河西健吾, Kawanishi Kengo).

Etymology[]

Kamui (神威, Kamui) consist the kanji for "god" (神, "god") and "power" (威, "power"), reflecting Dan Kuroto' god complex and prideful nature.
Narushi might derived from "narcissist" (ナルシスト, Narushisuto).

Notes[]

Kamen Rider Kamui's design pays homage to Kamen Rider Genm from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, which is further deepened through Kamui's similarities in personality with Genm's civilian identity, Kuroto Dan, such as him being a narcissistic self-proclaimed genius creator.
- Specifically, Kamen Rider Kamui is based on Genm's Zombie Gamer form. The silver armor platings bear a skull-like design, while the pink and blue streaks of energy on Kamui pay homage to the form's eyes.
Kamen Rider Kamui is the only member of Madguy whose homage is not based on an oni, though zombies, like Japanese oni, are also of mythical origin.
