- "Forget everything about me. You'll be happier that way."
- ―Mitsume's parting words to her son.[src]
Mitsume (ミツメ ) was Ace Ukiyo's mother and a former navigator of the Desire Grand Prix who was forced to become the Goddess of Genesis (創世の女神, Sōsei no Megami).
History[]
Background[]
Mitsume was born sometime in the future and became a navigator for the Desire Grand Prix. In the year 21 BC, during an era where gold coins bearing the face of Julius Caesar were given as prizes, she fell in love with a Deza Shin and bore a son with him named Ace. Though she was physically unable to bear children due to her physiology, her unwavering love and desire (according to Win, she prayed for three days and nights consecutively for this wish) caused her to awaken world-altering powers, resulting in this miraculous birth. At some point, Mitsume left her son and asked him to forget about her, but he never did and continued to search for her as he reincarnated throughout history, with Ace Ukiyo being the latest in line.
Due to the fact that she had bore a child with a Deza Shin, she was punished by Suel and the Game Masters and forcibly transformed into a stone form dubbed the Goddess of Genesis, with a new rule in place that a staff member cannot commit to an intimate relationship with participants. Mitsume's powers were exploited by the DGP management as the prize was changed to having the winner's ideal world granted through the Goddess's abilities.
Modern Times[]
In modern times, the Goddess of Genesis was used to circumvent the death of eight-year-old Akari Kurama on the wishes of her father Kousei Kurama, which as a result brought him a new daughter, Neon Kurama.
The Goddess of Genesis became the main target of several insurgents affiliated with the Jyamato Garden (specifically Beroba, Archimedel, Michinaga Azuma, and Daichi Isuzu), who planned on seizing the Goddess for themselves to reshape the world into their ideal desire. To do so, they stole the Vision Driver from Chirami, which was the key to accessing the Goddess herself. Beroba managed to gain access to the temple inside, but discovered that the Goddess cannot grant wishes without the approval of both Niramu and the Game Master, or simply, without two Vision Drivers.
At the height of Ace's battle against Buffa and the Knight Jyamato during the Lightning Jyamato Festival, the Goddess of Genesis resonated with Ace steeling his resolve to protect the world, and sent four additional Boost Buckles down to fuse with Ace's own Boost Buckle, granting him the power of Boost MarkII Buckle. Niramu, realizing that this was the result of the wishes of four of Ace's past incarnations finally being granted, declared that Ace is an individual who should not have existed in this world.
After Ace learned that his mother was forcibly turned into the Goddess against her will, he swore to save her. However his progress is repeatedly impeded by Niramu and Suel, who stop Ace from meeting her as much as possible. After Suel forced Mitsume to erase Ace from the world, it backfired as her statue began crumbling, as she also granted the wish of Beroba and Kekera prior of this event. Suel deemed Mitsume useless at last as he activated the Grand End, he tossed the Goddess aside as her powers had no longer worked. Upon seeing her crumbling debris, Ace snaps and unlocked his innate powers as Geats Boost MarkIII. However, despite his new power, he's still cannot reach Mitsume. That is, until Ziin visited Ace and encouraged his idol, showing that they now share the same aspirations.
After Ace's power of Genesis awakens, he teleports himself to the inside of the Goddess and finally meets his mother's soul, spending her last moments with Ace, Mitsume tells Ace that she never regretted her decision and continued to pray for her son's happiness, with her soul finally dispersed and her body as the Goddess completely breaking down. Mitsume's remaining power was stored within the Boost Mark III Raise Buckle, allowing Ace to finally unleash his full potential as GeatsIX and defeat Suel, avenging Mitsume at last.
Personality[]
Not much is known about her personality, other than her leaving her son, which suggests she had worried about her son being involved in the Desire Grand Prix. She has also shown her guilt over sacrificing people’s happiness to grant wishes, proving that she's good natured at heart. Her willingness to sacrifice herself to save her son proves that she was truly a loving mother who went above and beyond to ensure Ace’s safety.
Powers[]
- Goddess of Genesis Physiology: As the Goddess of Genesis. Mitsume possesses the following abilities:
- Reality Warping: Mitsume is capable of warping the very fabric of reality, which is often indicated by the sound of a ringing bell.

As a result of his dedication to finding his missing mother, Ace subconsciously activated his powers that he was unaware he possessed, and reincarnated multiple times until the 21st century. For over 2000 years, Ace never lost hope in finding her and was distraught to discover that her life was ruined by the Desire Grand Prix, whom he vowed to destroy. Learning that Suel ordered to have Mitsume transformed into the Goddess, Ace set his sights on him and fully awakened to his powers. Using them, Ace reunited with his mother's dying spirit and inherited her wish of bringing happiness to everyone in the world.
- Unnamed lover: Mitsume's lover and a previous DezaShin. Due to his taboo action of having fallen in love with a navigator, his existence was erased from history, though Mitsume continued to remember him and told Ace that his birth was the happiest moment of their family.
