Mela (メラ, Mera) is one of the main antagonists of Kamen Rider Geats: 4 Aces and the Black Fox. He is a wanted criminal from the future who transforms into Kamen Rider XGeats (仮面ライダーXギーツ, Kamen Raidā Kurosu Gītsu, lit. Cross Geats).
History
Background
Known as the God Killer, Mela had killed many deities in his lifetime, including Loki and Susanoo and gained their abilities. At some point, he was aware of such god-like individuals like the Man of the Beginning.[Original Story Book: 「Who is MELO?」]
Present Day
Appearing in present day as an imitation of Kamen Rider Geats alongside Melo thanks to divine powers he obtained, he observed current events, mocking the fact that the world as Geats and his friends know it will face destruction soon. [Genesis VII: Where Wishes Go]

XGeats' primary form is accessed by using both parts of the XGeats Buckle on the right and left-hand slots of the Desire Driver, and then performing a Revolve On.
This form is a negative inversion of Kamen Rider GeatsIX, having assimilated the power, wisdom, and luck of Geats alongside Mela's own stolen ability to vanquish gods. XGeats specializes in dual-wielding, namely black versions of the Geats Buster QB9 and Raising Sword known as the Geats Buster X and X Raising Sword. The form's combat proficiency is immeasurable, overpowering Tycoon's Bujin Sword and Buffa simultaneously, and standing on par with Geats Oneness.
Mela had also appeared in similar form in episode 45. He transformed into an imitation of Kamen Rider Geats without any Rider powers thanks to divine powers he obtained prior to his encounter with Geats.

- XGeats Victory (Xギーツビクトリー, Kurosu Gītsu Bikutorī): XGeats becomes covered in blue flames briefly before flying up right in front of the Jyamato World Tree as his tails spread out and become coated in black energy. After pressing the lever of the XGeats Buckle to fully activate the finisher, he then releases black and red tendrils that connect to the Jyamato World Tree, causing it to releasing a wave of destructive force that destroys the world.
- Geats Buster X & X Raising Sword
- Unnamed Rider Slash: has two variations:
- XGeats covers his swords in black and blue flames before rushing at his opponent, releasing two slash attacks in an X shape at an negative acute angle opposite to both blades. He then releases two more slash attacks in a X shape as well but at an normal acute angle opposite to opposite to both blades before his opponent explodes.
- XGeats covers his swords in black and blue flames before raising them up, forming an X shape with them and his body. He then releases two slash attacks as a wave at his opponent before they explode from impact.

XGeats
By using a remote control linked to the Jyamato World Tree, XGeats can enlarge his body, a unique feature uncommon in DGP Riders, seemingly derived from future person's capabilities to alter appearance at will.

Portrayal
- Mela is portrayed by Shohei Osada (長田 庄平, Osada Shōhei). As Kamen Rider XGeats, his suit actor is Takahiro Yoneoka (米岡 孝弘, Yoneoka Takahiro).
Etymology
- Mela's name is derived "eyes" (目ら, Mera) in Japanese.
- The "X" in XGeats' name is derived from the Roman numeral X (10), surpassing GeatsIX, as well as the cross fox. The Japanese pronunciation, "kurosu", also contains the Japanese word for black (黒, Kuro).
Notes
- His Rider name is alternatively spelt as "Kamen Rider Cross Geats" in Uchusen and movie merchandise.
- Kamen Rider XGeats' color scheme is a negative inversion of Kamen Rider GeatsIX.
- XGeats' accent color was intended to be silver, but this was changed to turquoise as it clashed with Tycoon Bujin Sword's color scheme.[2]
- Kamen Rider XGeats' helmet uses the same mold as GeatsIX. The chest, shoulders, and thighs are repainted from Kamen Rider Vulcan Lone Wolf while the forearms and lower legs are repainted from Kamen Rider Revi Volcano Rex Genome.
- A recolored version of Kamen Rider GeatsIX's Legend Kyubi 3D model can be seen during XGeats' transformation.
