Lockseeds listed

List of main Lockseeds seen in Sid's tablet

Lockseeds (ロックシード, Rokkushīdo) are mysterious devices that are the source of the Armored Riders' powers. They all have powers associated with fruits, seeds, berries, and nuts. Lockseeds can grow on trees in the Helheim Forest, assuming the shape of a flower first.

The Inves love Lockseed flowers, regarding them as their favorite food. However if an Inves consumes a mature Lockseed, it assumes its Berserker State, and if it consumes another mature Lockseed, then that Inves will evolve into its Evolved State.

In Inves Games, people use mature Lockseeds to summon Inves to do battle. When a person wearing a Sengoku/Genesis Driver picks Lockseed flowers, they will quickly turn into mature Lockseeds. When Inves Games starts, the Lockseeds say "Battle, Start!". After Inves Games battle, these Lockseeds can say "You Win!" or "You Lose..." depending on the results of battle. After a victory, the toy Lockseed can say "Rank Up!" which has yet to be used in the show.

If a Rider summons an Inves in a battle, then they will be fully materialized in the real world.

Inves

The Inves love Lockseeds, regarding them as their favorite food. In the Helheim Forest, Inves eat immature Lockseeds by eating the core of the Lockseed and throwing the rest of it away immediately afterwards when they are done.

Immature Lockseeds

Immature Lockseeds are Lockseeds in their immature state that grow in the Helheim Forest. They normally look like fruit, however if anyonw wearing a Sengoku Driver picks them they will turn into Mature Lockseeds. The Inves love both types of Lockseeds, regarding them as their favorite and only food, and will attempt to protect them if they are picked. People also seem tempted to eat an immature Lockseeds as shown when Kota Kazuraba almost ate one when he first arrived in the forest.

Classes

File:Lockss.png

Premature Lockseeds and a Mature Lockseed (Ichigo)

Matured Lockseeds are given ranks, from D to A, but it is unknown if either the number of the Lockseed, the rarity of such a Lockseed being found, or a combination of the two makes the Lockseed's ranking.

A-Classed Lockseeds are unbreakable, which is useful for both transformation as an Armored Rider or to summon a high classed Inves. One drawback is that the summoned Inves is in its Berserker State, and if said Inves consumes a Lockseed that summoned it or an entirely different Lockseed, it will evolve into an second form of itself called an Evolved Inves.

It appears Yggdrasill Corporation has succeeded in making artificial Lockseeds, existing in the form of Lockvehicles (ロックビークル, Rokkubīkuru). They are indicated by their rougher design and their theme being based on flowers. Once unlocked, the Lockvehicles will unfold into their Vehicle forms, and have the capacity to breach into the Helheim Forest when they hit a certain speed.

List of Lockseeds

Kamen Rider Gaim's Lockseeds

  • Orange Lockseed (オレンジロックシード, Orenji Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Gaim to transform into Orange Arms, armed with the Daidaimaru. Its code is LS-07 and it is Class A. Another one is seen in the possession of DJ Sagara.
  • Pine Lockseed (パインロックシード, Pain Rokkushīdo, lit. "Pineapple Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Gaim to transform into Pine Arms, armed with the Pine Iron. Its code is LS-05 and it is Class A. He obtains this Lockseed after beating Kaito Kumon in an Inves Game.
  • Ichigo Lockseed (イチゴロックシード, Ichigo Rokkushīdo, lit. "Strawberry Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Gaim to transform into Ichigo Arms, armed with the Ichigo Kunai. Its code is LS-06 and it is Class A. Kota had found his Ichigo Lockseed, as well as his Orange Lockseed and Sengoku Driver, during his first adventure into the Helheim Forest; however, Peko managed to disarm it from him and then the Shika Inves consumed it to evolve into a Evolved Inves. Some time after, Gaim was able to obtain another Ichigo Lockseed, which had belonged to Team Invitto until they lost a Inves game to Ryugen, before he appears in the World within the Magic Stone. In the toyline, if the Ichigo Lockseed says "Battle, Start!" five times, it plays the sound of an Inves roar.
  • Suika Lockseed (スイカロックシード, Suika Rokkushīdo, lit. "Watermelon Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Gaim to transform into the colossal Suika Arms, capable of assuming multiple modes and armed with the Suika Sojinto while in Yoroi Mode. Its code is LS-10. This Lockseed was originally in possession of Takatora Kureshima until Mitsuzane stole it from him. After Kota uses the Suika Lockseed, it loses its color and becomes unresponsive for a certain amount of time.
  • Kachidoki Lockseed (チドキロックシード, Kachidoki Rokkushīdo, lit. "Enjoyment Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Gaim to transform into Kachidoki Arms, armed with the DJ Gun. Its code is KLS-01.

Kamen Rider Baron's Lockseeds

  • Banana Lockseed (バナナロックシード, Banana Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Baron to transform into Banana Arms, armed with the Banaspear. Its code is LS-08 and it is Class A. Kaito obtained his Banana Lockseed along with his Sengoku Driver from Lock Dealer Sid. Another one is seen in the possession of DJ Sagara.

  • Rose Lockvehicle (ローズロックビークル, Rōzu Rokkubīkuru): Summons a Rose Attacker Rider Machine. It is Lockseed LV-02. He obtains this Lockseed during his battle with Kota from Lock Dealer Sid.

Kamen Rider Ryugen's Lockseeds

  • Budou Lockseed (ブドウロックシード, Budō Rokkushīdo, lit. "Grape Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Ryugen to transform into Budou Arms, armed with the Budou Ryuhou. Its code is LS-09 and it is Class A.
  • Kiwi Lockseed (キウィロックシード, Kiwi Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Ryugen to transform into Kiwi Arms, armed with the Kiwi Gekirin. Its code is LS-13 and is Class A. It was found in the Helheim Forest when being asked by Kota to pick one premature Lockseed. In the toyline, if the Lockseed says "Battle, Start!" five times, it plays the sound of an Inves roar like Ichigo Lockseed.
  • Rose Lockvehicle (ローズロックビークル, Rōzu Rokkubīkuru): Summons a Rose Attacker Rider Machine. It is Lockseed LV-02. He obtains this Lockvehicle from Sid.

Kamen Rider Zangetsu's Lockseeds

  • Melon Lockseed (メロンロックシード, Meron Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Zangetsu to transform into Melon Arms, armed with the Melon Defender. Its code is LS-04 and it is Class A.
  • Melon Energy Lockseed (メロンエネルギーロックシード, Meron Enerugī Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Zangetsu Shin to transform into Melon Energy Arms, via the Genesis Driver. Its code is ELS-04.

Kamen Rider Gridon's Lockseeds

  • Donguri Lockseed (ドングリロックシード, Donguri Rokkushīdo, lit. "Acorn Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Gridon to transform into Donguri Arms, armed with the Donkachi. Its code is LS-03 and its Class B. Hideyasu has lost his first Donguri Lockseed to Team Gaim after he and Ryoji beaten Kaito, and had to buy another one from Sid, and lost that one to Bravo, which was most likely devoured by the Inves that became the Evolved Inoshishi Inves.
  • Dandelion Lockvehicle: Summons a Dandeliner Rider Machine.

Kamen Rider Kurokage's Lockseeds

  • Matsubokkuri Lockseed (マツボックリロックシード, Matsubokkuri Rokkushīdo, lit. "Pinecone Lockseed"): Allows Kamen Rider Kurokage to transform into Matsubokkuri Arms, armed with the Kagematsu. Its code is LS-01 and it is Class C. One was shown in the possession of Zach. Ryoji has lost his first Matsubokkuri Lockseed to Team Gaim after he and Ryoji beaten Kaito, and had to buy another one from Sid, and lost that one to Bravo, which was most likely devoured by the Inves that became the Evolved Inoshishi Inves.
  • Tulip Lockvehicle: Summons a Tuliphopper Rider Machine.

Kamen Rider Bravo's Lockseed

  • Durian Lockseed (ドリアンロックシード, Dorian Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Bravo to transform into Durian Arms, armed with the Duri Noko. Its code is LS-12. It originally belonged to Sonomura of Team Red Hot who recently received the last Sengoku Driver from Sid. However, he ended getting both the Driver and Lockseed confiscated by Oren Pierre Alfonzo for being too loud in his shop.

Kamen Rider Duke's Lockseeds

  • Lemon Energy Lockseed (檸檬エナジーロックシード, Remon Enajī Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Duke to transform into Lemon Energy Arms. Its code is ELS-01.

Kamen Rider Sigurd's Lockseeds

  • Cherry Energy Lockseed (チェリーエナジーロックシード, Cherī Enajī Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Sigurd to transform into Cherry Energy Arms. Its code is ELS-02.

Kamen Rider Marika's Lockseeds

  • Peach Energy Lockseed (ピーチエナジーロックシード, Pīchi Enajī Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Marika to transform into Peach Energy Arms. Its code is ELS-03.

Kamen Rider Bujin Gaim's Lockseeds

  • Blood Orange Lockseed (ブラッドオレンジロックシード, Buraddo Orenji Rokkushīdo): Allows Bujin Gaim to transform into Blood Orange Arms, armed with a crimson version of the Daidaimaru. Like the original Orange Lockseed, its number is LS-07 and is A-ranked. However, his Sengoku Driver's voice is much deeper then the others.

Lock Dealer Sid's Lockseeds

  • Sid's Lockseed (シドのロックシード, Shido no Rokkushīdo): Seen in trailer being held by Sid, then later appeared in the series proper; current purpose unknown. It appears to have an S shape on the front and is colored in black and gold.

Inves Games-Only Lockseeds

Some of the Lockseeds don't have a weapons or transform a Sengoku Driver user into Rider form. These only used to summon Inves for battling against an opponent's Inves.

  • Kurumi Lockseed (クルミロックシード, Kurumi Rokkushīdo, lit. "Walnut Lockseed"): Current purpose unknown. Its code is LS-02 and it is Class C+. One is currently in the possession of Kaito Kumon. When opened, the inside is completely blank, implying it can't allow one to transform into a Rider.
  • Himawari Lockseed (ヒマワリロックシード, Himawari Rokkushīdo, lit. "Sunflower Lockseed"): This Lockseed is used to summon Elementary Inves to use in Inves Games. Its code is LS-00 and it is Class D. It appears to be a very common Lockseed, being used by Mai Takatsukasa, Kaito Kumon, and Ryoji Hase with still others being sold by Lock Dealer Sid. Strangely, when opened, the bottom doesn't give any indication of an associated weapon. Additionally, the Gashapon version doesn't have any sounds associated with a form either, giving it only the generic Inves Battle music and Inves sound.

Legend Rider Lockseeds

Listed as movie sets in some sources, the Legend Rider Lockseeds contain the power of a Kamen Rider. The first set contains the Double & Wizard Lockseeds and the second set is the OOO & Fourze Lockseeds. What's interesting about these sets is that they will give the Riders a special kind of armor formed out of a giant head of the Rider in question.

These new armors for the Riders will appear in the next Movie War film. These sets will be released in December.

  • Double Lockseed (ダブルロックシード, Daburu Rokkushīdo): Allows Kamen Rider Ryugen to transform into Double Arms, armed with the Trigger Magnum.

Orange Arms

KRGa-Gaimorange

Orange Arms

  • Height: 203 cm.
  • Weight: 105 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 6.7 t.
  • Kicking power: 10.2 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 28 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 5.9 sec.

Orange Arms (オレンジアームズ, Orenji Āmuzu) is Gaim's default orange form. Accessed through the Orange Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Daidaimaru. This form debuts in episode 1.

This form is Gaim's most balanced form. Because of that, Gaim often uses this form, due to it not suffering from any significantly statistic power up or down.

This Arms has two finishing attacks:

  • Daidai Ittou (大橙一刀 lit. "Great Orange Strike"): Gaim charges the Daidarimaru with energy before unleashing a series of slashes on the target.
  • Burai Kick (無頼キック, Burai Kikku)

Pine Arms
"Soiya! Pine Arms! Funsai Destroy!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
KRGa-Gaimpine

Pine Arms

  • Height: 206 cm.
  • Weight: 119 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 8.7 t.
  • Kicking power: 10.2 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 22 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.5 sec.

Pine Arms (パインアームズ, Pain Āmuzu, lit. "Pineapple Arms") is Gaim's yellow form. Accessed through the Pine Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Pine Iron. This form debuts in episode 2.

In this form, Gaim becomes a little more powerful than Orange Arms. However, only the punching power increases, while the kicking power remains the same. His maximum jump height and running speed also decreased. However, in this form, Gaim achieves more defense than he had in Orange Arms.

This Arms' finisher is the Iron Breaker (アイアンブレイカー, Aian Bureikā), where Gaim throws/kicks the Pine Iron at the opponent, growing it if he needs it to. After the Pine Iron is attached to the opponent's head, Gaim unleashes a powerful kick to the target. It can be unleashed without the kick and still be powerful.

Ichigo Arms
KRGa-Gaimichigo

Ichigo Arms

"Soiya! Ichigo Arms! Shushutto Spark!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
  • Height: 206 cm.
  • Weight: 100 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 6.0 t.
  • Kicking power: 10.2 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 33 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 5.5 sec.

Ichigo Arms (イチゴアームズ, Ichigo Āmuzu, lit. "Strawberry Arms") is Gaim's red form. Accessed through the Ichigo Lockseed, this form's personal weapons are the Ichigo Kunai. This form debuts in episode 5.

In this form, Gaim has less punching power than even Orange Arms. However, like his other forms, his kicking power is unaffected. What he gains in this form is slightly faster running speed and max jumping height when compared to Orange Arms.

Suika Arms
File:Watersuika.jpg

Suika Arms Yoroi Mode

"Soiya! Suika Arms! Ōdama Big Bang!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
  • Height: 311 cm.
  • Weight: 523 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 33.2 t.
  • Kicking power: 51.8 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 3 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 9.8 sec.

Suika Arms (スイカアームズ, Suika Āmuzu, lit. "Watermelon Arms") is Gaim's mecha-like green form. Accessed through the Suika Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Suika Sojinto. This form debuts in episode 7.

This form can interchange into three modes:

  • Odama Mode (大玉モード, Ōdama Mōdo, lit. "Big Ball Mode"): Suika Arms' Watermelon mode, which encases Gaim's entire body for offensive/defensive and transportation purposes.
  • Gyro Mode (ジャイロモード, Jairo Mōdo): Suika Arms' flight mode, which allows Gaim to fire seed-like bullets from the fingertips.
  • Yoroi Mode (ヨロイモード, Yoroi Mōdo, lit. "Armored Mode"): Suika Arms' Rider mode, which arms Gaim with the Suika Sojinto for combat.

Suika Arms is the most massive Arms Change so far, and it shows by having the most monstrous punching and kicking power once in Yoroi Mode. Consequentially, it also has the worst jumping height in all of Rider history, and any Rider can practically outrun it. Though this is rendered moot thanks to Gyro Mode. Also, after a utilization, the Suika Lockseed's color becomes grey, indicating that its energy is low and needs time to recharge back to its green color before it can be used again.

This Arms' finisher is the Sojinto Razor (双刃刀レイザー, Sojinto Reizā), where he first traps the target in a watermelon energy ball, then slashes the "watermelon" all over until it blows up, raining fire and "watermelon flesh" as the target is destroyed.

―Transformation announcement[src]
Kamen Rider 'Baron'

Banana Arms

  • Height: 208 cm.
  • Weight: 114 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 8.8 t.
  • Kicking power: 12.4 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 24 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.1 sec.

Banana Arms (バナナアームズ, Banana Āmuzu) is Baron's default yellow form. Accessed through the Banana Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Banaspear. This form debuts in episode 3.

This form is Baron's most balanced form. In this Arms, Baron's punching and kicking power is more stronger than Gaim's. However as a tradeoff, Baron's maximum height and running speed is decreased, making him able to jump a little higher than Gaim in Pine Arms and is outpaced by Gaim in Pine Arms.

This Arms' finisher is the Spear Victory (スピアビクトリー, Supia Bikutorī), where Baron releases a spear-shaped beam of energy from the Banaspear to strike the enemy.

Mango Arms
"Come On! Mango Arms! Fight of Hammer!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
KRGa-Baronmango

Mango Arms

  • Height: 208 cm.
  • Weight: 114 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 10 t.
  • Kicking power: 12.4 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 22 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.5 sec.

Mango Arms (マンゴーアームズ, Mangō Āmuzu) is Baron's second form. Accessed through the Mango Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Mango Punisher. This form debuts in episode 8.

In this form, Baron gains a boost in punching power, nearly punching as hard as Zangetsu, but his kicking power retains the same strength. In trade-off, Mango Arms can jump just as high as Gaim in Pine Arms, and is just as fast.

This Arms' finisher is the Punish Mash (パニッシュマッシュ, Panisshu Masshu).

OOO Arms
"Come On! OOO Arms! Tatoba Tatoba!"

OOO Arms

OOO Arms (オーズアームズ, Ōzu Āmuzu) is a special form exclusive to Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. Accessed through the OOO Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Medajalibur.

File:KRGa-Ryugengrape.png

Budou Arms

  • Height: 206 cm.
  • Weight: 105 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 6.7 t.
  • Kicking power: 10.2 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 28 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 5.9 sec.

Budou Arms (ブドウアームズ, Budou Āmuzu, lit. "Grape Arms") is Ryugen's default purple form. Accessed through the Budou Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Budou Ryuhou. This form debuts in episode 4.

In this Arms, Ryugen's statistics are the same as Gaim's Orange Arms, making Ryugen, in theory, a good substitution for Gaim. However, the downside of this form is that, as a gunslinger, it lacks close combat abilities.

This Arms' finisher is the Dragon Shot (ドラゴンショット, Doragon Shotto), where Ryugen pulls the hammer once, making violet-hued energy shaped after grapes expel from the sides of the Ryuhou, with golden Asian lung energy coils circling the barrel. The energy balls then move to the muzzle of the gun, pooling into one big sphere. Once the charge is complete, seconds before the trigger is pulled, the ball takes the form of an Asian lung's head, and shots are fired at high speeds, with each shot taking the form of a flying Asian lung.

Kiwi Arms

  • Kicking power: 13 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 24 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.1 sec.

Melon Arms (メロンアームズ, Meron Āmuzu) is Zangetsu's default lime green form. Accessed through the Melon Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Melon Defender. This form debuts in episode 2.

In the power stats, Zangetsu dominates by hitting harder than Gridon's hardest punch and Gaim/Kurokage's fiercest kicks. In terms of agility though, he out jumps Gaim in Pine Arms by two whole meters, and is about as fast as Baron in Banana Arms.

Fourze Arms
"Soiya! Fourze Arms! Seishun Switch On!"

File:Fourze no Switch On.jpg

Fourze Arms

Fourze Arms (フォーゼアームズ, Fōze Āmuzu) is a special form exclusive to Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. Accessed through the Fourze Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Rocket Module.

KRGa-Gridondonguri

Donguri Arms

"Come On! Donguri Arms! Never Give Up!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
  • Height: 206 cm.
  • Weight: 119 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 8.9 t.
  • Kicking power: 9.2 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 22 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.5 sec.

Donguri Arms (ドングリアームズ, Donguri Āmuzu, lit. "Acorn Arms") is Gridon's default brown form. Accessed through the Donguri Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Donkachi. This form debuts in episode 5.

As Gridon Donguri Arms, Hideyasu can throw punches stronger than both Gaim in Pine Arms and Baron in Banana Arms, though his kicking power is far weaker then the aforementioned Riders. As for his jumping height and running speed, they are the same as Gaim's in Pine Arms.

This Arms' finisher is the Gridon Impact (グリドンインパクト, Guridon Inpakuto), where Gridon spins at crazy speeds with the Donkachi held out. The spinning forms an acorn projection before Gridon knocks the opponent with a high-velocity hammer slam.

Matsubokkuri Arms
KRGa-Kurokagematsubokkuri

Matsubokkuri Arms

"Soiya! Matsubokkuri Arms! Ichigeki in the Shadow!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
  • Height: 203 cm.
  • Weight: 102 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 6.0 t.
  • Kicking power: 10.2 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 26 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 6.0 sec.

Matsubokkuri Arms (マツボックリアームズ, Matsubokkuri Āmuzu, lit. Pinecone Arms) is Kurokage's default black form. Accessed through the Matubokkuri Lockseed, this form's personal weapon is the Kagematsu. This form debuts in episode 5.

As Kurokage Matsubokkuri Arms, Ryoji's punching power is on par with that of Gaim in Ichigo Arms, and can kick at the same power as Gaim in all of his Arms. He can jump tiny bit less the Gaim in Orange Arms, and run a tad bit slower than Gaim in Orange Arms.

This Arms' finisher involves Kurokage jumping and charging with his Kagematsu, forming a giant energy pinecone on the tip to stab the opponent with.

Durian Arms
"Durian Arms! Mister Dangerous!"
―Transformation announcement[src]
File:Durianrider.png

Durian Arms

  • Height: 210 cm.
  • Weight: 125 kg.

Ability Perimeters:

  • Punching power: 12.4 t.
  • Kicking power: 16.7 t.
  • Maximum jump height: 27 m.
  • Maximum running speed: 100 m. per 5.9 sec.

Durian Arms (ドリアンアームズ, Dorian Āmuzu) is Bravo's default dark green form. Accesses through the Durian Lockseed, this form's personal weapons are the Duri Noko. This form debuts in episode 6.

Out of all the Armored Riders' main forms, Bravo's is the strongest. As shown, his punching and kicking power were even more powerful than Zangetsu's. Also, his jumping height is only 1 m shorter than Gaim and has the exact running speed with Gaim, despite his bulky armor. He even can lift metal scaffolding with nothing but his bare hands and is even seen somewhat keeping up with the Sakura Hurricane and Sukia Arms' Odama Mode, though he was somewhat exhausted from the long run.

When Bravo activates his Sengoku Driver's Squash function, he emits a wave of energy from the comb on his helmet, then swings his head around to slam the energy into his target.

Lemon Energy Arms

Lemon Energy Arms

Behind the scenes

Portrayal

The voice of the Lockseeds, as well as the Sengoku Driver and the Musou Saber, is provided by Hōchū Ōtsuka (大塚 芳忠, Ōtsuka Hōchū).

Conception

An interview with Kamen Rider Gaim producer Naomi Takabe in Hyper Hobby revealed the inspiration for the Lockseeds arising in early design meetings, with the sentences “Opening a new world” and “Unlocking potential” in mind. After some research it was decided that locks were the best choice, being something that has never been used in Kamen Rider. This decision was made at a very early point, with Takabe noting that they had no idea what the story was even going to be like then. [1]

Notes

  • A few of the Lockseeds use the Japanese names for their respective plant or fruit, rather than the English names.
  • Seeing how all Lockseeds work the same way in what is essentially the same Belt, it can be assumed that Riders can use the Lockseeds of others, in an extension of the last two series's practice of allowing the main character to use the collectible devices of the secondary Rider in one form or another.
  • The zipper-like dimensional rips Lockseeds create resemble the powers of Bruno Buccellati's Stand, Sticky Fingers, from the manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventures Parte 5: Vento Aureo.
  • Lockseeds have some similarities to both the Gaia Memories from Kamen Rider W (triggering the transformation causes them to say the Lock's name before insertion into the Driver and, in the toy version, contain most of the sounds instead of the Belt) and the Astroswitches from Kamen Rider Fourze (the Armored Riders are given a weapon once they activate the Lockseed). They are also an homage to the Poké Balls from Pokémon, as they summon Inves to fight against other Inves.
    • Like the Astroswitches, Lockseeds seem to have limitations in how many times they can be used and must recharge after heavy use. This is first seen after Kota used his Suika Lockseed for the first time. When Mitch held the Lockseed in the next episode, it was heavily damaged and no longer funcional.
