Leptophyes Worm (レプトーフィスワーム, Reputōfisu Wāmu) is a Grasshopper-like Worm who mimicked a student of Chorus Club at Seika School that disappeared seven years ago.
History[]
Background[]
In 1999, a group of Worm (Chrysalis) mimicked all the members of the Chorus Club of Seika School, and participated in the 35th National Junior High School Choir Competition held at the time, winning first place. One of them molted into Leptophyes Worm, and serves as the leader of the group. After that, the school's general director found out the truth, aware the members are actually Worms, he disbanded the chorus club. The clubroom was sealed off with a wall that had a mirror embedded in it, but the Worms continued to hide in the clubroom.
Later, they conspired with the general director, who always want to improve the school's reputation. Based on a rumor created by the general director about the "Cursed Mirror" (呪いの鏡, Noroi no Kagami) that could grants wishes, they began to attack students who make wishes on the mirror, and replaces the student. At that time, the Worms had a habit of singing the nursery rhyme "Toryanse," and since singing could be heard coming from the clubroom, which could not be seen, it was rumored at the school that they were the "ghosts of the chorus club."
Targeting Students and Kamen Riders[]
The situation remained undiscovered for a long time, but when they attacked and mimicked the baseball club members, Jyuka Tendo heard the rumor about baseball club. She talked to her brother Soji Tendo, which leads Tendo, Arata Kagami, Yuzuki Misaki, Renge Takatori began to investigate the school by undercover.
Leptophyes Worm leaving from the clubroom, started assulting students like Keiko Kobayashi. Although Kamen Rider PunchHopper, Kamen Rider Kabuto and Kamen Rider Gatack fought it, Leptophyes Worm still escapes from the battle unharmed.
Following the orders of the Black Dress Woman, who acting as a guard under the orders of Uca Worm, it engages in battle again, trying to eliminate Kabuto before he activates Hyper CLock Up, but is overwhelmed by a Perfect Zecter that flies in from nowhere. Leptophyes Worm escapes way for the second time.
Afterwards, it appears in front of Shun Kageyama, attacking him. Kageyama as PunchHopper is unmatch to Leptophyes Worm, not only for defeated by the Worm, Kageyama also taught a lesson by Kageyama's partner So Yaguruma.
Truth Exposed[]
Tendo and Yuzuki Misaki, have learned the truth after investigate the school. The Leptophyes Worm, along with other subordinate Worms, as the form of mimicked Chorus Club Members, appeared in front of them in the clubroom. When Misaki aims a gun at the general director, and attacking them, all the Worms revealed their true identities, leaving the room, heading towards Jyuka at school bus, due to she also make wishes towards the mirror before.
After comforting the students on the school bus, Kagami got off the school bus to deal with the Worms that came to tunnel. He transformed into Gatack to fight Worms in a wood, and then Tsurugi also arrived as Sasword to join the battle. The two Kamen Riders destroyed all Chrysalises together, but they were overwhelmed by Leptophyes Worm. Kabuto also arrived to the scene, he transformed into Hyper Form, and defeated Leptophyes Worm with Perfect Zecter's Maximum Hyper Cyclone finisher attack.
Personality[]
Although never speaks, it can be seen that he is very loyal to Black Dress Woman, as he fight against the Kamen Riders several times. When facing Kageyama, it deliberately did not kill him after defeating him, in order to mock Kageyama.
However, after the several failure when confront Kamen Riders, Leptophyes Worm turned to his original target - the students who made wishes to the mirror, including Jyuka, so it chose to go to the school bus to kill Jyuka and replace her existence.

- Human Mimicry: Like all Worms, they can take the form of any human they see, duplicating their memories as well.
- Clock Up: Like all molted Worms, they can trigger Clock Up, gaining the ability to move at incredible speeds while still observing the world around them at normal speed.
- Superhuman Leap: Leptophyes Worm can jump up to 70 meters high.
- Deadly Sound Wave: Leptophyes Worm is able to attack enemies by firing deadly sound waves that created inside their body, and release from the tips of its right arm. Its most powerful attack is a punch unleashes by charging his arms with the sound wave energy.
