The Laser Raise Riser (レーザーレイズライザー, Rēzā Reizu Raizā) is the transformation device and main weapon of Kamen Riders Ziin, Kekera, Kyuun, and Beroba.
Inserting the main body of the Laser Raise Riser into the Desire Driver along with the Boost MarkII Buckle allows Kamen Rider Geats to access LaserBoost Form. Geats also uses the Laser Raise Riser with an empty Rise Cartridge as his primary weapon in this form.
User Variants[]
Raise Riser Belts[]
Desire Driver[]
Design[]
The Laser Raise Riser is composed of the following parts:
- Inputtriger (インプットリガー, Inputtorigā): The trigger. It serves as the starting point for the Riser's many attacks.
- Unite Grip (ユナイトグリップ, Yunaito Gurippu): The handle. It can change and optimize the size of the Laser Raise Riser itself according to its wielder's condition (As seen with Kyuun, who transformed it into a spear). In addition, it enables a remote control function via a private connection with the Supporter's correspondent Rider in the Virtual World and can supply the Rider with energy wirelessly.
- Cross Alternator (クロスオルタネーター, Kurosu Orutanētā): The mode switching lever. With one input, it activates "Finish Mode" and prepares itself to execute the "Laser Victory" Finisher. In addition, the wielder can access Support Mode with 2 inputs, allowing them to perform a "Laser Charge".
- Laser Reactor (レーザーリアクター, Rēzā Riakutā): The reactor. It generates a large amount of energy using a special hydrogen-based fusion reaction by irradiating a 1mm fuel orb installed in the center of the reactor with lasers.
- Rise Cartridge (ライズカードリッジ, Raizu Kātorijji): The personal identification code terminal. It enables personalized settings when inserted into the main body of the Laser Raise Riser, allowing customized specifications suited to the user's preferences.
- Sigmalater (シグマレーター, Shigumarētā): The laser oscillators. In addition to emitting pulse lasers for combat, they can also emit "Meta-Lasers" which possess design power, allowing the wielder to produce and coordinate their avatars in accordance to their ideal selves.
Functionality[]
Transformation[]
The user equips the Raise Riser Belt on their waist with their Raise Riser Card inside of the Rise Cartridge. They then unholster the Unite Grip from the Raise Buckle Holder, combine it with the Rise Cartridge, and pull the trigger to enable a high-dimensional transformation according to the user's Design Ability.[1]
Finishers[]
- Main article: Finisher (Geats)
Pushing the Cross Alternator forward once switches the Laser Raise Riser to Finish Mode (フィニッシュモード, Finisshu Mōdo). Pulling the trigger then initiates the Laser Victory (レーザビクトリー, Rēza Bikutorī) finisher.
Pushing the Cross Alternator twice switches the weapon to Support Mode (サポートモード, Sapōto Mōdo), and pulling the trigger initiates the Laser Charge (レーザーチャージ, Rēza Chāji).
When using a Black Raise Riser Card, pushing the Cross Alternator twice instead switches the weapon to Crash Mode (クラッシュモード, Kurasshu Mōdo), and pulling the trigger initiates the Laser Crash (レーザークラッシュ, Rēzā Kurasshu).
Design Ability[]
The Laser Raise Riser gives the users the ability to design their outward appearance and their body features. According to Ziin, the DGP audience from future has the ability to set the longevity limit of their age as long as they want. Because of its ability, Ziin gives up his own Laser Raise Riser so that Ace can utilize the power of Boost MarkII Buckle properly. It also has the ability to copy designs, as seen with Beroba copying one of Chirami's thumbprints and replacing one of her own with his.
Users (chronological order)[]
User | Kamen Rider | Episode Obtained | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Ziin | Divergence IV: Delivery From the Jyamato! (Pre-series) | Ziin obtained his Laser Raise Riser sometime prior to the series. He later allowed Ace to use it to overcome the side effects of using the Boost MarkII Buckle, later gifting it to him before returning to the future.
Ziin would temporarily borrow the Riser to transform and returned it back to Ace. Once Ace was eliminated, Ziin retrieved the Riser. After Ace's restoration and participation in Desire Royale, Ziin gives the Riser to Ace again. | |
Beroba | Divergence VI: Pursuit! Catch the Chirami Demon! | Beroba obtained her Laser Raise Riser sometime prior to the series. It later vanished alongside its user after her defeat by Kamen Rider Buffa. | |
Kekera | Divergence SP: Emergency Special! All About the DesiGra! | Kekera obtained his Laser Raise Riser sometime prior to the series. It later vanished alongside its user after his defeat by Kamen Rider Tycoon. | |
Kyuun | Divergence SP: Emergency Special! All About the DesiGra! | Kyuun obtained his Laser Raise Riser sometime prior to the series. | |
Ace Ukiyo | Lamentation IV: Bonding LaserBoost! | Ziin allowed Ace to use his Laser Raise Riser to overcome the fatigue from using Boost MarkII. Before Ziin returned to the future, he permanently gifted the Riser to Ace.
Ziin temporarily borrowed the Riser to transform and returned it back to him. Once Ace was eliminated, Ziin retrieved the Riser. After Ace's restoration and participation in Desire Royale, he receives the same Riser from Ziin again; however, it vanished during the Grand End along with the DGP's remaining equipment. | |
Neon Kurama | Lamentation VI: The Prince Within the Letter | Neon borrowed Kyuun's Laser Raise Riser during her fight with the Dunkelosteus Jyamato. She later returned it to Kyuun. |

Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
The Laser Raise Riser is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (松岡 禎丞, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu), who also voices Suel and the Vision Driver. When Black Raise Riser Cards are used, the Laser Raise Riser is voiced by the Desire Driver's uncredited voice actor.
Notes[]
- Instead of announcing "LaserBoost Victory!", the Premium DX Memorial Laser Raise Riser toy makes the following incorrect announcements when performing a finisher in LaserBoost mode:
- "LaserBoost!" when the Riser is set in the Desire Driver.
- "Laser Victory!" when the Riser is detached from the Desire Driver and used in its gun mode.
- Later, Bandai re-released a Modified Voice Unit of Laser Raise Riser toy, which solved the above incorrect announcements problem.
