Lamentation V: Surprise! Bullfighting Game♡ (慟哭Ⅴ:サプライズ! 闘牛ゲーム♡, Dōkoku Faibu: Sapuraizu! Tōgyū Gēmu ♡) is the twenty-ninth episode of Kamen Rider Geats. It reveals the truth about Neon Kurama's past.

Synopsis[]

The third round of the Jyamato Grand Prix is a "bullfighting game" created by Michinaga. Riders and Jyamato form teams and clash in one-on-one duels. The first team to reach three losses will be eliminated.

On the other hand, Neon explodes with joy upon being able to celebrate her birthday with her fans. However Ace noticed her gloomy expressions following the end of her birthday livestream.

It's almost Neon's turn to participate in the bullfighting game, but Beroba has a nasty trap waiting for her...!

Plot[]

After Ace's victory over the Sengoku Game, Archimedel waters some fossilized Jyamato roots in order to wake them up. Beroba asks Michinaga about what would be a fitting game for the Jyamato Grand Prix, since he got the Vision Driver.

In the City, Neon is streaming live, announcing it's her birthday. However, she remembers both the joy and horror that day represents to her. While Keiwa and Ace look for a birthday present, they encounter a Pawn Jyamato running away from them; it was actually a bait from Beroba for a "surprise" JGP round created by Michinaga, a Bullfighting Game...

The bullfighting game consists of one-on-one battles, starting with Rook Jyamato vs. Kamen Rider Tycoon. Meanwhile in the salon, Chirami tells Neon that fans from the audience had sent her a chunk of presents, with an invitation to a birthday party. However, Ace notices that Neon is not feeling too joyful for having a birthday party, while Chirami thinks a romantic relationship is forming between the two Riders, much to Tsumuri's interference of the Game Master's imagination.

As Tycoon is about to win, a strange spike emerging from the water attacks him. Noticing the cheating, Tycoon is officially defeated by the Rook Jyamato, leading to his imprisonment. Daichi tells Keiwa that an imminent defeat, related to Neon's situation, is awaiting the Kamen Riders, as Beroba has some "scoop" about her.

Back in the City, Kyuun approaches Neon with a birthday present, but she acknowledges that he's the one behind the letters of encouragement she had been receiving lately. In her room, she shows him the letters, but as Kyuun seems harsh in front of her, she is disappointed about his true self, leading to her leaving the place.

Kyuun, seeking for forgiveness, meets with Kousei who's also buying flowers. Expressing his gratitude towards the supporter for taking care of Neon's back, Neon's father discuss the eventuality of a wedding with someone from the future such as Kyuun, while not denying he cares the most about his daughter. Though his intentions are not all noble as he hopes that their union would result in Kurama Foundation gaining access to and investment in technology from the future to secure the company’s profits.

Using a news video archive, Ace finds the place where Neon was taken into custody 11 years ago, on her 8th birthday. Kousei then shows up, laying a bouquet of flowers on the floor of the very building they're in. Ace figures out what happened that day, when Neon was supposed to have been taken into and then saved from custody. Neon remembers her dad having paid a ransom for her freedom, with the following hours being a nightmare despite the joy that a birthday is supposed to be.

The Matador Jyamato then shows up in front of the two Riders, indicating that the JGP is resuming. Ace enters the fighting arena in Neon's stead, with Beroba mentioning it's part of the plan. Turning into Geats MagnumNinja Form, Ace fights against the Bishop Jyamato. Noticing the water spikes, Ace revolve changes into NinjaMagnum Form to throw the Bishop into the water, knocking out the Dunkleosteus Jyamato.

However, Beroba interrupts the fight with an announcement for the audience, with the scoop she had mentioned earlier. Leaving everyone shocked, Ace rages from Beroba's cruel scheme, and changes into his LaserBoost Form, fighting the Jyamato at a more violent scale, even shooting through a pillar and destroying a camera in the process. In the ensuing fight, the Dunkleosteus Jyamato retreats.

Meanwhile, Neon joins the birthday party in her room, but as the audience is cheering her up, they suddenly get notified of Beroba's reveal, and thus their admiration turns into hate speech for her. They deem her to be a fake Akari Kurama, based on the information she was made by the Goddess of Genesis. One member even declaring she shouldn't get her wish granted as a living wish herself. Neon then sees a simulation of what actually happened and discovers that she is not the person she had the memories of. It turned out that the kidnapper actually murdered Akari before the police came and a devastated Kousei watched as his daughter's corpse was hauled away in a stretcher as news reporters swarmed him.

In a later flashback, Kousei is seen asking Niramu for the revival of his daughter, in exchange of being a DGP sponsor. Upon his wish being granted, his wife Irumi went from catatonically depressed about Akari dying to having her memory rewritten and being relieved her daughter Neon came home safely.

With Neon badly hurt emotionally from the reveal, Beroba mocks her as the audience's anger at Neon continues and laughs as she despairs. Geats becomes enraged from the inhumane use of someone's feelings to win, and launches a LaserBoost Victory attack to the Bishop Jyamato...
