History
Background
Lachesis is a Homunculus created by Glion as one of the Three Dark Sisters, modeled after street musician Risa Arisugawa (有栖川 リサ, Arisugawa Risa), a young woman who was targeted and killed by the alchemist Dupont Dougami. After Glion used Risa's corpse to transmute Lachesis, the resulting entity was a cruel and violent being. Gaining a new name, Lachesis alongside with Atropos and Clotho, they attacked Dupont and his enhanced human army, with ended up with Lachesis killing Dupont and destroying all the enhanced humans.
Encountering Gotchard
Ten years ago, Lachesis was among with Atropos and Clotho to attack the Alchemys Union to obtain the Chemies, having a tough fight with the members of the Union, the trio retreats after Gilon reveals his true colors.
Years after that incident, when Fuga entrusted the Gotchardriver to Houtaro, the Three Dark Sisters appeared to take the driver and the Chemy Card, forcing Fuga to release the 100 Chemies into the human world. Lachesis has then separated with others in order to obtain Chemies to create Malgams. During the fight, the entrance of Supana Kurogane has attracted Lachesis' attention, causing to switch the focus of creating Malgams in order to make him feel inferior to her.
Defection from Glion
Though being loyal for the whole time being, Lachesis started to have a slight change of heart when Glion possessed her mind to transmute into Orochi Malgam. Her distrust towards Glion spiked when he used Supana to create the Wheel Malgam. Fearing that she has no value for Glion, she escapes from Glion with Minato.
When Glion began opening the door of Darkness, Lachesis helped Minato enter the Ouroboros Realm to support the Kamen Riders. After the fight, Lachesis stayed with Kyoka to become her assistant, seduced by the proposition of helping her becoming more human.
Gigist's Advent & Legend's Return
During the events following Glion's defeat by Platina Gotchard and Gigist's advent, she became more involved in the fight. Working with Kyoka as both a test subject and an assistant, she eventually obtained from the latter a newly crafted Valvarusher and the MadWheel Repli Chemi Card, allowing her to fight as a new Valvarad. Lachesis started growing closer to the human being she sought to become, as shown by a set of pictures taken of the group during a festival. Eventually, she opened to the group and more particularly, have a soft spot to Kurogane Supana.
Death
Lachesis felt deep grief after Atropos' sarifice to save Rinne from Gaelijah's attack. Following this event, Gigist started hunting her and Supana down. Supana, not being able to transform into a Kamen Rider anymore, had to protect her using his former Valvarad form. After Supana's evolution into Kamen Rider Valvarad Kurogane and Gigist's defeat, she is seen catching Eldoragon, a dark Nijigon based chemy made by Glion, who tried to snatch the Philosopher's Stone fragment left behind by Gigist.
As she was celebrating her catch, she was shot from behind by Glion, retrieving the final fragment. Through tears, she reveals that what she wished to know more about once becoming fully human was "love", implicitly confessing her feelings to Supana. She then passed in his arms (imagining a date scenario involving Supana and a human version of herself), leaving Glion satisfied, the Alchemists dispirited and Clotho heartbroken for losing the last of her siblings. Contrary to Atropos, her body did not disappear after her death, implying that she became fully human, as stated by a grieving Supana.
Legacy
She later appeared as a spirit alongside Atropos where they were reunited with Clotho, who was killed at the hands of Glion. She was then ultimately avenged when Gotchard Ultima Steamhopper defeated Eld.
During the Rider's fight against Ouroboros in order to break the time loop it instilled on Supana, Kyoka used Lachesis' harp to personally enter the Ouroboros Realm to hand him a new Valvaradriver and aid them to seal the monster.

In Other Media
Lachesis is obtainable as an enemy card and event cards in Kamen Rider Battle: Ganba Legends.
Personality
Lachesis is shown to be sadistic, arrogant, and somewhat childish, delighting in the suffering of others and enjoys fighting against opponents, smiling and chuckling as she attempts to kill or injure her prey. She finds the despair of others “beautiful”, showcasing signs of being a full on maniac who derives pleasure from causing pain. To that end, she chooses Malgam hosts based on the despair of other people’s unresolved moments. But she also gets very easily angry at times when her plans are ruined as she had shown contempt towards Supana for ruining her plans.
Despite all these negative traits, she at least shows that she is capable of caring for her sister's well-being, as she showed concern for Clotho when she began overusing the Dreadriver. Said concern was also shown when Glion came and possessed her as the Orochi Malgam and when she thought of the possibility of him replacing them with Supana when he became the Wheel Malgam.
After defecting from Glion and her sisters, Lachesis shows a more calm and friendly demeanor, but still retains the same caring aspect for Clotho, as shown when she stood up to protect her sister after she was defeated and was about to get killed by Supana, even when they're now on opposing sides. Staying with the members of Alchemist Academy caused Lachesis to become a more positive and cheerful person, as she grew closer to her wish of becoming human and the recovery of her model's memory had her grow an all around more positive personality instead of her initial former negative traits. However, she still feels sorrow over not being able to stay with Atropos and Clotho, as well as serious fear towards Glion.
Also, despite having proved herself to now be on Minato and Kyoka's side, Supana initially called her a monster and doesn't consider her as an ally whatsoever, nor does he care about her safety or condition, a harsh statement of his that she's quite offended by, even mentioning that his words broke her heart. However, over time their relationship starts to change for the better until her demise, with Lachesis indirectly admitted that she loved Supana, and Supana admitted that Lachesis had become a human at last.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Alchemy Power: Lachesis uses a special alchemy that is activated by the tone of the harp.[1]
- Mixtus Transformation: Lachesis showed the ability to transmute herself with more than one Chemy to turn into a stronger Malgam form called Mixtus. Although this alchemy technique uses multiple Chemies, it is no more than an enhancement-type transmutation that adds additional elements with the same attribute to the base material and has not reached the level of a Kamen Rider's "complete harmonious reconstruction using mixed vectors of alchemy materials" characteristic.[2]

Type Zero (零式, Zeroshiki) is Kamen Rider Dread's default form accessed by using the Repli-Steamliner Replichemy Card in the Dreadriver.
As the antithesis of Gotchard, Dread sacrifices her Replichemies to use their powers. She has higher punching power, kicking power, and running speed, but a lower jump height. Unlike Sabimaru, Lachesis make full use on her agility during combat, and she only using the Replichemy cards to torment her opponent.
Dread consists of the following parts:
- Dread Mask (ドレッドマスク, Doreddo Masuku): The helmet.
- Wisdom Lamp (ウィズダムランプ, Wizudamu Ranpu): The beacon of wisdom. By accumulating the knowledge possessed by the user and the Replichemy and turning it into a collective intelligence, its intelligence increases with each transformation and transmutation.
- Maat Signal (マアトシグナル, Maato Shigunaru): The tuner device. It maximizes the destructive power by adjusting the transmutation state from time to time.
- Dread Horus (ドレッドホルス, Doreddo Horusu): The compound eyes. The application of various Replichemy powers to human vision changes its characteristics in various ways. Different abilities can be used simultaneously on the left and right side.

- Rider Golem (ライダゴレム, Raida Goremu): The body. It has an extremely strong skeleton and ultra-pressure-resistant structure due to the combination of the human body and the Replichemy Repli-Steamliner. It embodies the potential for all kinds of destruction by overlapping the power of many more Chemies.
- Dante Actuator (ダンテアクチュエーター, Dante Akuchuētā): The arms. The "Dante Steam Compression", which increases arm strength by filling with ultra-high-pressure steam, delivers an ultra-high-pressure punch with extraordinary grip strength and destructive energy.

- Dante Departure (ダンテデパーチャー, Dante Depāchā): The legs. The "Dante Steam Compression", which increases leg strength by filling with ultra-high-pressure steam, delivers an ultra-high-pressure kick with overwhelming driving force and destructive energy.
This form has the following finishers:
- Dreadriver finisher:
- Blood Rain (ブラッドレイン, Buraddo Rein): After Dread scans up to three Repli Chemy Cards in the Vevel Setter on the top of the Driver, and inserts the Repli Chemy Card into the Khonsu Stiller slot before pulling the Nekhbetvoke Lever, Dread performs an attack that incorporates the Chemy's unique ability or transmute weapons.
- Repli-Flayrose: Dread right hand is covered with pink aura before she blow it, sending countless amount of rose petals that explodes in quick succession upon impact.
Dread performs Drain (ドレイン, Dorein) by scanning Replichemy Cards in the Vevel Setter on the top of the Driver, and inserting them into the Khonsu Stiller slot. Depending on the Replichemy card scanned, she can perform an attack that incorporates the Replichemy's unique ability or transmute weapons based on the scanned Replichemy.
- Repli-Venomdake: Allows Dread to release poison and paralyze the enemy. Unlike Sabimaru, Lachesis can deliver the poison in the form of purplish mist.
Valvarad (Lachesis)
- "Valvarush! Tune Up! Madwheel!"
- ―Transformation announcement[src]
- Height: 203.0 cm
- Weight: 84.4 kg
- Ability Parameters[10]
- Punching Power: 11.0 t
- Kicking Power: 8.0 t
- Maximum Jump Height: 14.1 m
- Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 7.1 sec.
Valvarad's primary form is accessed by using the Repli Madwheel Replichemy Card in the Valvarusher.
Compared to Supana's version of Valvarad, Lachesis' version is actually stronger in comparison, surpassing the original in almost every stat except kicking power.
Also, to differentiate from the original, Lachesis' version of Valvarad has some minorly added teal details, which are visible on the mask and some parts of the armor.
Valvarad (Lachesis) consists of the following parts:
- Wrench Face K (レンチフェイスK, Renchi Feisu Kei): The head.
- Metal Wrench K (メタルレンチK, Metaru Renchi Kei): The head armor. It is the strongest part of Valvarad's entire body, maximizing the striking power of the head.
- Udjat Adjuster K (ウジャトアジャスタK, Ujato Ajasuta Kei): The tuner. It serves to reduce the burden on the alchemist by restraining the mighty power of the Chemy.
- Valvarad Eye K (ヴァルバラドアイK, Varubarado Ai Kei): The eye. The composition of the target can be analyzed visually. This facilitates the decomposition and re-transmutation of materials.

- Wheel of Fortune (ウィールオブフォーチュン, Wīru obu Fōchun): The power source. It has the role of augmenting the alchemist's physical abilities by transmitting the tremendous rotational force it generates to every part of the body.
- Armorthyst K (アーマジストK, Āmajisuto Kei): The Chemy alchemized armor. The re-transmutation of the Vehicle Chemy Madwheel brings its explosive power and breaking power to the alchemist.
- Clayton Arm (クレイトンアーム, Kureiton Āmu): The arms. The steelification transmuting process has transformed the arms into strong steel muscles, enabling it to exchange blood for the special refining oil "V.V.R.", which gives her strength and dexterity far beyond that of ordinary people.
- Valvaradraw Buckle (ヴァルバラドローバックル, Varubaradorō Bakkuru): The buckle for carrying Ride Chemy Cards. It can hold up to 20 Ride Chemy Cards.
- Valvarushroud (ヴァルバラシュラウド, Varubarashuraudo): The alchemy-enhanced clothing. Steelification alchemy strengthens the alchemist to build a body of steel that can withstand the power of the Chemy.
- Adamant Leg (アダマントレッグ, Adamanto Reggu): The legs. The excellent running performance of the Replichemy Repli Madwheel allows it to run at high speeds on any rough terrain. The destructive power of the kick is also dramatically enhanced by the transmission of tremendous rotational force.
Valvarusher finishers:
- Valvara Break (ヴァルバラブレイク, Varubara Bureiku): This finisher has two variations.
- Valvarad lifts the lever on the Rusher Blade and twists the Tighten Scrapper, initiating the attack. Her right Adamant Leg charges with teal energy, before delivering a powerful front kick through the enemy.
- Valvarad twists the Tighten Scrapper and evades the opponent's attacks with a upward kick and roundhouse kick. She then uses the Valvarusher to shoot a barrage of purple energy spurs at the opponent.

- Clotho/Kamen Rider Dread (III): Due to their differing methods of turning humans into Malgams, Clotho and Lachesis often bicker. However, Lachesis does seem to care deeply for her older sister when she warns her about the risk of overusing Repli-Chemy Cards in the Dreadriver. Another instance was when Supana was going to kill Clotho in his Rider form, Lachesis stood in front of Clotho to protect her, even though they are now on different sides.
Love Interest
- Supana Kurogane/(Kamen Rider) Valvarad: Lachesis is very interested in Supana because of his cold, lone wolf persona, labeling him as a dog. At the same time, she also showed resentment towards him whenever he ruins her plans. After her defection from Glion, she asked Supana not to call them monsters anymore since it broke her heart, showing her redeemed side to him. Kyoka then eventually makes a second copy of the Valvarusher for Lachesis to use, which he dismisses this notion as a ridiculous joke and saying that she still can't be trusted, even with Minato then mentioning that this was his idea and will take full responsibility. It was later shown that they could co-exist as allies in battle, when the both of them made a co-op attack to defeat Mimei. Eventually, both her and Supana had developed mutual romantic feelings for each other which reach its peak during her untimely death at the hands of Glion. She also gave her final words and wishes to Supana before she died and the latter carried her and supposedly gave her a proper burial.
