This article is about a Rider in Kamen Rider Geats. |
Kyuun (キューン, Kyūn) is an audience member of the Desire Grand Prix and Neon Kurama's supporter who transforms into Kamen Rider Kyuun (仮面ライダーキューン, Kamen Raidā Kyūn).
History
Background
Kyuun was born sometime in the distant future and became an audience member of the Desire Grand Prix. He invited Neon Kurama to the Desire Grand Prix, intrigued by her desire to find true love and happiness.
Divergence Arc
Kyuun overheard the conversation Neon had with Ace and Keiwa regarding the Dezastar, though he claimed he did not know what the term meant. After the trio left, Neon had accidentally left her mirror at the restaurant, prompting Kyuun to return it to her. However upon meeting, Kyuun chastised Neon for putting the blame of something she did on someone else, and clarified that although he watched Neon TV, he wasn't a fan.
- "To my beloved Neon... I was so devastated when they found out that you were the Dezastar. But don't give up, because I know that one day you will be blessed with true love. I pray with all my heart that you'll find your happiness. Even if it means making the whole world your enemy, I will always be right here by your side. Love, Kyuun."
- ―Kyuun's letter to Neon[src]
When the Desire Grand Prix was temporarily paused, Kyuun wrote a letter for Neon, gifting her a Mission Box containing the Feverslot Buckle. After the start of the Jyamato Grand Prix, Kyunn communicated with Neon using a letter that generated text typed on a tablet.
Lamentation Arc
Kyuun continues his hot-and-cold style of communication with Neon until she eventually catches onto him, though his inability to properly communicate his true feelings leads him to put up his blunt side again, putting her off. Once Beroba exposes the truth of Neon's origins to the DGP audience, Kyuun tries to confront Kousei Kurama, Neon's father, in the audience room, though he is left feeling conflicted over Kousei's seemingly cold response to the entire situation. However, through some discreet nudging from Ace, Kyuun would be pushed to finally reveal his true feelings towards Neon, assisting her against the Dunkleosteus Jyamato during the final round of the Jyamato Grand Prix's Bullfighting game. After the battle was concluded, Kyuun left together with Neon.
Yearning Arc
As the Grand End commenced, Kyuun approached Neon with the intent to make her remember her promise of going back to the future with him. After being stopped by John and Ben, Kyunn ultimately was forced to leave. Kyuun later said his goodbyes to Neon before returning to the future with Ziin.
Genesis Arc
After the end of the final battle with Ace completely defeating Suel and remaking the world, Kyuun returns to the present, now assisting Neon in filming her live streams. He suggests to Neon that he should help produce some of her content, though he is still embarrassed by his occasional bluntness, much to Neon's amusement as she sets out to chase after her "prince charming".
Kamen Rider The Winter Movie: Gotchard & Geats Strongest Chemy★Great Gotcha Operation
Although Kyuun isn't present in the film, Neon was seen chasing a similar-looking prince with letters falling out of his hands in her dream sequence. At the end of the film, Neon reads a letter written by him asking about her Christmas plans.
Personality
Kyuun is a highly blunt and straight-forward person, and can be rude at first glance, making negative judgments on Neon when they meet for the first time, claiming that she's an egoistic and naive girl. However in contrast to his demeanor when they meet face to face, in his letters, he's shown to truly care for her and sympathizes with her for her family situation and wants to make her the happiest person, even standing by her side if the world turns on her.
Due to his own inability to verbally express his feelings to Neon, he relies on his letters to convey them and did not reveal his identity as "Kyuun" when initially meeting her in person. Eventually, he learns to express his written words in person, and vocalizes his true words without the need to write them on paper.
