Kouhei Takeda (武田 航平 Takeda Kōhei) is a Japanese actor, entertainer, and model who is best known for his role as Otoya Kurenai in Kamen Rider Kiva. In 2017, he portrayed Kazumi Sawatari in Kamen Rider Build. He was formerly affiliated with the entertainment agency, ALC Atlantis, which he left following the expiration of his contract. As of April 1, 2020, he became affiliated with Central Corporation. [1]

Takeda is a former member of the pop group PureBoys. Several other Tokusatsu actors such as Ryosuke Miura (Ankh from Kamen Rider OOO), Keisuke MinamiIcon-crosswiki (Tsurugi OhtoriIcon-crosswiki from Uchu Sentai KyurangerIcon-crosswiki), Keisuke Kato (Keisuke Nago from Kamen Rider Kiva), and Yukihiro Takiguchi (Akira Hayase from Kamen Rider Drive) are (and were) members of the group.


Takeda entered the entertainment industry at the age of 15 due to his love of music. In 2001, he was scouted and began his career on stage, appearing in a Japanese-production of Anne of Green Gables, portraying Gilbert. Later that year, he was the 14th champion of the Junon Superboy Contest.

In 2006, he took on the lead role of Vaan, the main protagonist of the video game Final Fantasy XII, portraying the character in both voice and motion capture.

Personal Life

Takeda is the middle of three brothers. His father is a Little League baseball coach. His mother is a nurse. His grandparents runs a dry cleaners that has been established for over a century. The shop was featured on the television program Ariyoshi Seminar, where the story and his father were introduced.
